The service is, well, serviceable. I rather enjoy using it to watch things with friends, especially as it is 2020 and we all know what 2020 is about. It has some issues, sure, but they are not so bad as to make it unusable.

Its always worked, besides a small audio syncing issue. That has been fixed, the room layouts have been improved. If anything is causing my trouble its most likely my end and not the servers. This is just good way to spend time with those friends you cant go see or hang out with during the lock-down.

Kast has allowed me and my friends gather together in ways that is hard to do in other formats.

Kast is still pretty new so there is still room for a lot of growth. Sure there are some problems now but eventually there should be fixes to the problems that they've been currently having. Overall my experience has been positive to be able to hang out with friends and watch movies on our movie night despite the flaws.

Kast does what it's supposed to. I can watch and share whatever content I like with friends and strangers, and the recent changes to the web experience have made it even better. I like being able to have the video full in the browser, where I don't have to have a participant list or chat window always active.

I like this service, only problems i encountered have been on the browser side, but that might be my computer being rather on the older side...

Kast is an absolute piece of garbage, so far it's worked only 1 time out of 5 when I've used it. Audio doesn't work for viewers half the time, sometimes the start streaming button will just literally refuse to do anything. So many nights of frustration and ruined plans with my girlfriend caused by this one stupid app

It can rot in the gutter. Bring back Rabbit please.

They make it really hard to want to use their platform when video is constantly choppy/laggy. Also spent 30+ minutes trying to get into a private party that I'd both been invited to and had my join request accepted by the host. Tried both on the app as well as web. I uninstalled/reinstalled the app, logged out/back in, cleared app cache, but none of that worked.

Each and every update to the program has made the experience worse, from constant audio issues, visual lag, and buffering. With the most recent update the entire stream has experienced constant, brief interruptions during which I see a grey screen with Kast's cartoon fox mascot telling me something about share links— the cut-outs are too quick to let me read the screen, but make watching anything impossible. At this point the program is basically unusable, and I am highly dissatisfied.

Doesn't work right most of the time, should have just kept rabbit instead of replacing it with this terrible app.

Absolute trash of a service. Audio doesn't work, preventing me from watching anything with my friends. You can type in chat, but it's distracting when you're trying to enjoy a show or movie.
Before fixing this, they rolled out Kast Premium and put ads in the application. If it at least worked, I wouldn't have minded the ads, but the fact they decided to make a Premium version for a service that doesn't even work is.. Just awful. I cannot wrap my head around this.
Don't even bother with this disaster, it doesn't come close to how good Rabb.it was.

This is absolutely abysmal in every way conceivable. You need to download a CLIENT for it to work which is half a gigabyte, the audio never functions and the video is about as high bitrate as your grandmothers portable TV with noticeable artefacting on any screen larger than an iPod. Save yourself some frustration and use caracal.club

Rabb.it was so much better and fun.. I used spend a lot of time watching and streaming on it. Kast is rubbish. They just killed the brand and its sole purpose.

I’ve never been more disappointed at a streaming service. Not only is the connection poor but the ads are also very annoying. For anyone who wants a better streaming service I recommend using two seven. Kast is always freezing and won’t let me and my friends stream. It’s also very incompatible with other sites like Netflix. DO NOT USE KAST.

It's crap, complete crap, and now it has ads everywhere and wants you to buy a subscription to get HD streaming bro the streaming doesn't work period. Why would anyone waste money on a load of bullcrap.
