Worst service I have ever experienced.

Worst service I have ever experienced.

The car delivery was scheduled for Friday morning. First, they confirmed morning delivery. Then it shifted to afternoon, then evening, then 8 PM, and later after 9 PM. Every time we followed up, the timeline kept changing. When we finally reached the agreed destination, no one showed up. There was no call, no update, no apology. We kept calling them, and they completely ghosted us.

On top of that, it has been almost a month since the car was supposed to have a scratch repaired before delivery. As clearly visible in the screenshot, the scratch is still there. The work that was promised prior to registration and handover was simply not done.

If someone is paying AED 100,000 for a car, the least they deserve is proper service, basic professionalism, and all agreed work completed before registration and delivery. Unfortunately, it seems like they do not care about customer experience at all.

am extremely disappointed with Kavak. This was my first and definitely my last experience with them. I would not recommend them to anyone. Based on my experience, Cars24 felt much better in terms of service.

Misleading Pricing & Clickbait Sales Tactics

Kavak Review – Misleading Pricing & Clickbait Sales Tactics

I’m the CEO of a large company, and my business builds large-scale e-commerce websites for a living. I live in Dubai and recently tried to sell a car through Kavak simply because I wanted a fast, convenient sale.

What I experienced was misleading pricing and classic clickbait sales tactics.

Here’s exactly what happened:

I went to Kavak’s website, entered the car’s brand, model, mileage, and specs, and received an online quote of 95,000 AED. I fully understood this wasn’t a final price and expected normal adjustments after inspection if the car had issues. That’s reasonable.

Kavak’s website clearly outlines the process:
1. Get an online quote
2. Schedule an inspection

There is no mention anywhere of an intermediate “manual price check” before inspection.

After submitting my details, a Kavak representative called me on Tuesday and scheduled an inspection for Friday. During this call, they confirmed the information I provided and reiterated that the price would be finalized after inspection. At no point did they say the price could change before inspection.

Then, on Thursday — one day before the inspection, I received another call.

I was told:

“We’ve done a manual price check, and the value has changed from 95,000 AED to 88,000 AED.”

This immediately raised red flags.

I asked:
• What is the purpose of the website quote if it’s not even remotely reliable?
• Where on the website does it explain this “manual price check” step?

There is no transparency about this step anywhere on their site.

This is the problem:
Kavak uses an inflated online quote to hook you into the sales funnel, get your information, schedule an inspection, and create emotional commitment. Then, before they’ve even seen the car, they reduce the price to see if you’re still willing to proceed.

And anyone who understands sales psychology knows what happens next:
• Once you’re scheduled
• Once it feels “convenient”
• Once you’re emotionally invested

Most people continue — and the price will almost certainly drop again after inspection.

My car was well maintained. I expected maybe a 3–4k AED adjustment after inspection. Instead, the price dropped by 7,000 AED before anyone even saw the car.

Had Kavak shown 88,000 AED on the website, I wouldn’t have bothered at all. But that’s the point — they rely on clickbait pricing to pull you in.

I’m financially comfortable — this isn’t about the money. This was my daughter’s car. What bothered me was seeing a large company using non-transparent, misleading tactics to take advantage of people who don’t scrutinize the process.

My advice:
Do not use Kavak if you value honest pricing. Sell privately instead.

This experience was enough for me to actively warn others and share this publicly. Transparency matters — especially from companies operating at this scale.

Horrible experience

Horrible experience, unprofessional treatment, staff are unfriendly and lack knowledge, providing unrealistic valuations and making false claims to reduce the car price

I'm selling my car which worth 75-82 thousands as per current market range. However, price receive from them is 30 only, which indicates the poor inspection or an obvious scam. It was really a waste of time and efforts. I would NEVER recommend them to anyone

Horrible experience in Dubai -- booked…

Horrible experience in Dubai -- booked the car for a fee online, then we checked the car with the expert -- it totally does NOT correspond to site’s description: on site reported accident and repaint free — indeed car appeared to have the accident and was re-painted. They cheat the buyers - you have to re-check the cars carefully with your own specialist. For the second week I cannot get the refund back — they are just NOT answering !! Acting like a cheap fraud -- attitude I would never expect from such a company

My experience with Kavak was great

My experience with Kavak was great, so great that I am reviewing again within a fortnight to say how happy I am.
The follow-ups, responses provided, arrangements made were all seamless and on perfection. I could see the professionalism from the front office and way in, Ms. Jerimy and Ms. Rogine Collo especially were too good and kept me updated of all the proceedings. I was never in dark. Mr. Vinoth who was my focal point was technically superb and followed with all my technical clarifications and was with me until the bookings and handing over formalities were completed. Great work Kavak, keep going

It has been a terrible experience. Do not recommend! Poor communication, hidden mechanical issues, stains on the interior that they say they will clean but they don’t come off. Regretful

Very bad experience with them

Very bad experience with them
My experience with KAVAK has been the worst ever. The purchase process took more than a month and a half. The finance representative had no idea about the process. They even forgot to include the engine number on the invoice, which delayed the bank procedure. After finally getting the LPO, it turned out they hadn’t released the old mortgage on the car, causing another three-day delay. Until now, I haven’t received the car. I do not recommend anyone to deal with them — very poor service and not up to the standards of the UAE market.

Don’t Waste Your Time with Kavak

If I could give zero stars, I absolutely would. Kavak managed to waste my entire Sunday and still didn’t complete a simple car inspection.
I had an appointment scheduled for 11am, showed up on time, and was left waiting for 30 minutes with no update, no apology, no sense of urgency whatsoever. When I finally asked for an update, I was told—very casually—that the inspection actually takes two hours. Funny, because someone from Kavak had called me the previous evening and explicitly told me it would take 30 minutes.
So I had to leave and reschedule for 6pm at a different “fast-track” center. (What a joke that term turned out to be.) I arrived early, waited another 15 minutes, only to be told there was no driver available to do the inspection at all. No communication, no accountability, no respect for customers’ time.
I drove to two separate appointments, wasted hours of my day, and left with absolutely nothing accomplished. How is this company still operating with such blatant disregard for its customers?
Kavak, if you’re reading this, sort your operations out. People’s time is valuable, and the way you treat your customers is completely unacceptable. Avoid this company at all costs—unless you enjoy being lied to, kept waiting, and having your weekend completely ruined.

appointment cancelled

I recently booked an appointment for an inspection through your website. After booking, I received an automated message asking me to confirm the appointment, which I did.

However, on the day of the appointment, I received a call from your call center for another confirmation. As I was in a meeting, I could not answer the call, and shortly after, I received a message stating that my appointment had been cancelled because I did not pick up the phone.

When I called back to clarify, the agent mentioned that the automated confirmation message did not reach her system. This makes me question the purpose of having an automated confirmation process if it is not integrated or recognized by your call center.

This lack of synchronization and communication between your automated system and your agents led me to cancel the appointment altogether. Unfortunately, the experience reflects poor coordination and customer service, and I have decided not to proceed with your services as a result.

KAVAK DONT LIVE UP TO THERE EXPECTATIONS

I made appointment online to sell my car, showed up on time in location Dibai Festival Plaza. Agent told me that's I am in the computer but I don't have appointment. Apparently nobody cud reach me on my phone. The phone where I get approximately 10 calls each day. Agent are not willing to fix anything. Just refer me to call Kavak or get a different phone number. Not helpful and waste of my time. This seems not trustworthy. Thanks for nothing.

No clarity. Unclear UX

I booked an appointment, supposedly with home inspection, and it was confirmed. Then they don’t even come saying the car should be two years old max. So bad UX. Slow service, I didn’t reach the selling part to be honest.

Selling Was Easy, Buying Left Me Disappointed

I recently sold my old car and purchased a Tesla through Kavak. At first glance, the company appears impressive: friendly staff, smooth processes for selling, and a polished brand experience.

The buying side, however, revealed troubling gaps. My first viewing was on a dusty car, which masked dents and chipped paint. After placing a non-refundable AED 1,000 deposit, I asked to inspect the car again before finalizing. I was told it was unavailable, but reassured there were no issues.

When the car was delivered, after I had already paid for paint protection and tinting.. the defects were immediately obvious. At this price point, such lack of disclosure is unacceptable. When I raised these concerns, I was told nothing could be addressed until the sale was complete and pushed into “after-sales.” By then, the balance of power had shifted.

The result: a week of follow-up, a token discount, and another AED 1,000 out of pocket for repairs. To add to this, the air conditioning filters were saturated with cigarette smoke, something that only became apparent after a few drives, and yet another matter I now need to resolve myself.

The staff I dealt with were courteous, but the systemic handling was disappointing. Transparency was lacking, accountability was weak, and my outreach to senior management went unanswered. For a company that charges a significant convenience fee, one expects better than silence once the payment clears.

Kavak made selling my car easy. Buying one exposed a culture that prioritizes process over honesty, leaving customers to absorb costs that should never have been theirs.
