And so the saga continues.

Yesterday’s email from them told me that their “research team have highlighted your own business as a very strong acquisition prospect”.

Obviously an attractive proposition and it went on to say: “If you can let me know when you have a moment free, I can give you a quick call”.

So I replied: “Would you be available around 11.30 tomorrow? Sally won't be available, but she is happy for me to have initial contact with you on her behalf.” This was confirmed by them and so I supplied my phone number to them.

You can imagine my disappointment when 11.30 this morning came and went without a call or an email to explain their silence. Do you suppose someone in their company got round to reading my last review?

Thank you for your response. I'm sorry if the number rang out. I've just checked and it appears to be working correctly at the moment.

That however wasn't the point of my second review, as I'm sure you well know. That you tried to contact me without apparently having first checked on the nature of my so-called 'business' is the problem.

And of course, your not having checked meant that the information provided to me by you regarding the desirability of my 'business' on the corporate sales market was, how shall I put it, well there is a word...

We have recently sold our company and without the skill, knowledge and expertise of KBS and in particular Jacob and Jack this would have been impossible. Jacob in particular and Jack where instrumental in helping me through the deal process. By the end if the whole process it actually felt as though we had become friends, in fact I would say we are friends. Most of you will not have sold a company before and its vital that you have the right team behind you as you navigate the whole process. Make KBS your team and make Jacob or Jack your captain, even if Jack supports Bolton... UTT

Lazy and Lack of Transparency

I instructed KBS Corporate to sell my business after seeing a mixed range of reviews. They charge a significant upfront fee, which covers the creation of marketing materials.

Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing - particularly due to the lack of transparency and communication.

Despite repeatedly requesting it, I was not provided with basic information such as:

- The names of companies approached on my behalf
- Dates of contact
- Any feedback received

After several months, I was given a single spreadsheet. A year later, I made multiple further requests for an updated list, but nothing was ever provided. This led me to question whether their focus is primarily on onboarding clients for upfront fees, or prioritising larger deals where commission is higher.

I have since cut ties with KBS. From the point of signing, I never felt like a priority. A broker’s core responsibilities should include:

1. Approaching suitable prospective buyers
2. Gathering feedback
3. Sharing that feedback with their client

On one occasion, I was also concerned by how pushy KBS were in arranging a meeting with a prospective buyer. The individual provided only a screenshot of a spreadsheet as proof of identity - something I later found online myself. Despite this, KBS still encouraged the meeting. We ultimately withdrew, as it was clearly a bogus or scam situation.

I raised concerns about the lack of transparency and may have benefited from a different representative to represent our company but this never happened.

To be clear, this review is not about failing to sell the business. We did receive one offer - but that came from a contact we introduced ourselves, who had already shown prior interest.

This review is about the lack of communication, transparency, and overall engagement throughout the process.

We worked with KBS Corporate recently on the sale of our business and had a very positive experience throughout.

Jacob Lord and Jack Tyldsley were both excellent to deal with, providing clear guidance and support from start to finish. They were also backed up expertly by their appointed legal team later in the transaction, which helped ensure everything progressed smoothly.

KBS set expectations early on with the Information Memorandum and Teaser they created, which generated a very high level of initial interest. Through ongoing discussions, and by really listening to our vision of the ideal buyer, Jacob and Jack helped narrow this down to a manageable and relevant group.

They continued to provide a high level of professionalism, communication, and guidance throughout the entire process, which made what can be a complex transaction feel far more straightforward.

Great experience

I had not previously sold a business, so the process initially felt quite daunting. However, having Sean at KBS on board made it far more manageable and transparent . He kept me informed throughout the process .The marketing was excellent, creating strong interest from the outset which enabled me to maximise the final sale value.
The transaction process was handled professionally, with clear communication and reassurance provided at every stage. I would highly recommend the services provided. Thank you 🙏

Experience of an IM

They asked me if the opportunity is of interest, then sent it and it was fairly explanatory. There are some points about all IMs - why not show the year end? In the case of this IM it would have been helpful to understand a bit more about why the P&L moved as it does.

Professional, efficient, and friendly

As someone on the buy-side we've been working with KBS for some time and on multiple processes. We completed our most recent transaction together in January and found the team to be knowledgeable and efficient throughout the process. I've been working closer with Richard Stocks and he's always friendly and fast in communicating. He's great at finding a steady stream of quality opportunities, understanding our scope, and is always looking out for the right fit both for the sell- and buy-side in a potential deal. Definitely would work together with KBS again.

Overall a very professional experience…

Overall a very professional experience with KBS. I'm on the buy-side and I have only experienced great service and opportunities. Very helpful and experienced people working there. Professional, Communicative, and a Pleasure to Work With

I recently worked closely with Jacob Lord on a transaction and was very impressed with both his professionalism and his personable approach. I recently worked with Will Griffiths…

I recently worked with Will Griffiths at KBS Corporate to sell my company, and I'm really glad I chose them. Will was professional from day one, super knowledgeable about the whole process, and he managed to get us a solid deal with a really good buyer that I'm happy with.
That said, it wasn't a smooth ride by any means—the sale had its fair share of delays, unexpected hurdles, and moments of real frustration that tested everyone's patience. There were times when things felt like they were dragging on forever, and it was stressful trying to keep the business running normally while dealing with all the back-and-forth.
Through it all, though, Will stayed calm, kept things moving forward as best he could, and was always straight with me about what was happening (or why it wasn't). He didn't sugarcoat the tough bits, but he also made sure I didn't lose sight of the bigger picture or get too down about the setbacks. His steady approach helped me stay level-headed and focused on the right direction, even when I was ready to throw in the towel. He was quick to respond to questions, kept me updated properly, and went the extra mile to push things along where he could.
In the end, we got across the line with a result I'm pleased with, and a lot of that credit goes to Will's persistence and expertise. Selling a business is a big, emotional thing, and having someone like him in your corner makes a huge difference. I'd happily recommend KBS Corporate—and especially Will—to anyone thinking about selling. Thanks again, Will.

This company is truly terrible first off they let the lead steal manager was made aware she responded with thats here nor now. Lead harrasses mentally challenged adults that work here nothing is done no real supervision

Highly recommend KBS, big thanks to Luke Rae

We have recently sold our group of companies with the help of KBS, Luke Rae has been our principal contact throughout the process. We were looking for the ‘right fit’ buyer that shared our work culture and appreciation of staff loyalty that could help our existing management team and employees develop and grow the companies further, Luke delivered.
