After searching for a mini GP2 for a while I came across the one I purchased from Mini World/ keepingitmini. I contacted the company through Auto trader and the MD contacted me back, his name is Vivek. He seemed great and couldn’t do enough.
Anyway long story short ish. I agreed to purchase the car although it was a long way from home, I left a deposit and it was to Vivek’s personal account. This should have been red flag number 1.
I travelled down to purchase the car on 16-3-25, upon my arrival the car wasn’t in as good condition visibly as Vivek had made out. There was a nail in the rear driver tyre, a knocking sound from the rear, suspension looked old and corroded from what I could see( limited as the car is low) engine bay really dirty and overall not what I was quite expecting. I haggled and managed to get £500 off the price. Took the car home and it sat on the drive for 2 weeks. After the two week I finally had chance to give it a good clean, jack it up, wheels off job etc. I found all wheels were badly corroded, break wear sensor disconnected, coilovers completely corroded to the point there is no way they can be adjusted, intake pipe disconnected and the biggest issue a leaky gearbox. I pointed this out to Vivek via WhatsApp, he replied with just push the intake back on and get the leak fixed. Not happy I asked for a refund in line with the consumer rights 2015 act. He said no then proceeded to block me, I’ve had no contact from him since, despite sending numerous letters, emails and messages. I then heard from his solicitor after I threatened to take him to court. I tried to fight back with my own solicitor but costs have risen into the £1000’s. So I’m now left with a broken car I’m having to get repaired myself. The business goes under many names, many address on companies house etc. No reviews can be left on Google. If you have dealings with this company, just be very very wary.
