The actual VPNUnlimited app worked fine until 9.7.1, when the predatory "upgrade" happened, the one that hid core feature behind a new paywall. They only applied this change to the early adopters th... See more

Stripped lifetime deals
Bought their lifetime deal years ago as a loyal customer. Now they’ve stripped many benefits included in that purchase and forced everything onto a subscription model. Punishing early supporters who trusted them is a terrible way to treat customers. Once a solid choice, now just another company that bait-and-switched lifetime users. Avoid as their trust is lost and unpredictable

Bought a lifetime membership of their VPN. They have now put features behind a paywall. If it was additional features, it would be ok, but they are basic features, things I have been using for years at this point

Lifetime scam
I had been scammed, I bought lifetime services that included spilt tunneling that's actually a very simple service and all the rest, now I'm suddenly restricted and asked to buy some loyalty stuff extra subscription to upgrade and I'm even teased I'll have a discount, sincerely or the company gets back on track about this issue with us or I hope every single person will show their disappointment here

Same as others
As mentioned in other reviews I'm also a "lifetime member" who got played by the company under the "our terms and conditions states that we can unilaterally take away features you originally thought you had for a lifetime and there's nothing you can do about it" frustrating to see this profit pursuing practices but best we can do as ex-users is warn others, share our negative experience and move on to another company.

Not trustworthy
As others, I purchased a lifetime membership and gift found that some of the services included are now hidden behind a so called loyalty plus tier to squeeze out some money of existing customers. Not very honourable.

The "Lifetime Subscription" Bait-and-Switch
I am writing this review to warn potential customers about KeepSolid’s deceptive business practices and broken promises.
I originally purchased a "Lifetime" subscription to VPN Unlimited, expecting to retain the core features and functionality included at the time of purchase. Recently, KeepSolid introduced updates (such as their "Loyalty Plus" plan) that stripped away features—including P2P/torrenting servers, specific location access, and key protocol options—and placed them behind additional monthly subscription fees.

Really unhappy with the downgrade.
Really unhappy with the downgrade.
I've been using VPN Unlimited for a few years now and this sham of taking away "lifetime" features just made me an ex-customer.

Scammed their customers by taking away features and make them pay extra to get them back.
Paid for a lifetime subscription, then they took away features and now say you have to pay even more than you did before to keep them.
Don't trust these scammers. They'll just keep taking more and more features away.

Unscrupulous Bait and Switch company **BEWARE**
I am writing to complain about recent changes to my VPN Unlimited lifetime account.
I bought a lifetime subscription to VPN Unlimited I chose it specifically because it included features I needed to use. I made a one-time payment instead of a recurring subscription because I was promised continued access to those features for the life of the product.
Recently, those features were moved behind an additional paywall. I now have to pay more to keep using services I already paid for in full. This is not an upgrade or a new offering. It is the removal of features that were part of what I bought.
I believe this is a breach of the terms under which I made my purchase and a breach of trust with your lifetime customers. Selling a "lifetime" product and then charging again for its core features is a bait and switch. It looks like a deliberate attempt to get more money from customers who have already paid.
I am requesting one of the following within 14 days:
Full restoration of all features included in my lifetime plan at the time of purchase, at no additional cost.
If this is not resolved, I will file complaints with the Better Business Bureau, the Federal Trade Commission, and the Arizona Attorney General's Office.

Long term lifetime subcription user here - shame on you keep solid. Torrents or streaming was already usually quite bad, either slow bandwith or streaming platforms was detecting your network as vpn 9 on 10 times I was trying to use it and now you took these avarage services under paywall. Shame...

Lifetime subscription not lifetime any more, greedy company
Ref response, all you have done is provided 1 (ONE) new protocol but removed P2P servers. Same old dribble!
Your time would be better spent fixing server dropouts.
Good luck getting new customers!! as you are not to be trusted anymore

Same story
Same story. Bought a “lifetime” membership that included p2p/ torrenting. Now they want me to pay AGAIN for access to those same servers. Classic predatory business practice. It got me to look at other options. I learned that Keepsolid has never been audited and is based in the US. Why would anyone trust this company with their privacy? Their only guarantee of privacy is “ trust me bro”. Sorry trust is lost and I’ve moved on to Proton. Keepsolid turned out to be a scammy company, they arbitrarily changed their TOS and I would never trust them with my privacy now even for free.

I bought a lifetime subscription to KeepSolid VPN Unlimited under the explicit agreement that the features included at purchase were mine permanently. Now, out of nowhere, they have retroactively paywalled core features—including specialized P2P/torrent servers, streaming locations, manual protocols, and split tunneling—and hidden them behind a new recurring monthly subscription called "Loyalty Plus".

I'm here to let everyone know that Joe is 100 % right in his review.
"I bought a lifetime subscription to VPN Unlimited. "Lifetime" meant the features included at purchase were mine, permanently.
The company has since removed torrent/P2P servers from my plan. To get them back, I'm told I need to upgrade — meaning pay more for something I already paid for.
Changing the terms after the sale is a bait and switch. A lifetime plan shouldn't mean "lifetime until we decide to charge you again." I want the features I purchased restored, or my money back.
How about refunding us the current price of a lifetime Subscription, Seems fair to me

My trust is destroyed.
Even worse: this seems stealth operation.
Website and FAQ are not adapted.
Some responses of Keepsolid point at too high cost of maintaining servers for cheap lifetime subscriptions. Maybe ... But e.g. split tunneling is also removed from Unlimited Lifetime ...

I went to use this VPN like I do about once every other month. They changed the functionality to remove all feature but some that are basically useless. They want $1.67 per month for releasing the features they sold me before.
I bought their "lifetime" subscription years ago that was supposed to give me access to all features forever. Now they remove all but the very basic VPN functionality and prevent me from using the only features I have ever used.
