Having taken my vehicle in to have the rear break pads, discs and callipers replaced and being grateful of Ken's prompt service and keen price, I returned to pay for the repairs and collect the vehicle. As soon as I pulled of I could tell the breaks were not right with a very irregular squishy feel to the break pedal. Went back into Ken's with both the shop owner and mechanic insisting the brakes were fine, saying it was because they were new and would therefore feel different. Having insisted that they were not ok to drive and working correctly and suggesting they had perhaps not been bled correctly, they took the car back in, re bled the brakes and all now seems ok.
Not filled with confidence for the rest of the repair though.

Good communication, did what they said they would do. All done to price and time.

Removable Tow Bar Fitted in time advised. When I went to collect Vehicle and have quick demo on how to connect and disconnect removable bar, it did not locate properly, so adjustments were then made on the roadside, clearly this had not been checked during fitting and i could have had a wasted journey to return the vehicle had i taken this on trust. I could not check the electrics until i collected my trailer, which was yesterday, everything works perfectly.
The Number Plate I pre-ordered and Paid For was also not ready on collection and i had to wait for this to be done.
Whilst overall I am happy with the Product and its performance, the administration of the sale process needs improving.

This is my second visit to Kens Auto Spares, this time at the Carlton Road site. This visit was better than the first as when I got home I had a lighting issue. I am happy with the courteous service, the way the job was carried out, the product supplied, the price quoted and kept, the time keeping and information supplied was very helpful. I would recommend this business, service and products to anyone who cares to ask. I am more than satisfied and I don't mind saying so. Thank you to all concerned, well done.

I was very happy with the service apart from one part and that was the key drop. Had a problem in that I had to drop the car off before shop opened and key deposit meant anyone could have got hold of the keys and drove a way with the car. maybe I'm over sensitive but a more secure method of key drop would make me much more comfortable.
Apart from that the service and price was excellent and I would definitely use them again. Only I would drop the car off when they are open!

Recommended, good job fitting towing electrics

Went in to speak about a towbar on my new Captiva.
Had researched this on the net to find out details so was reassured that staff I spoke to reconfirmed the advice I had received via WWW.
Talked through the possibility that the towbar may obstruct the reversing sensors and the options available before the work was undertaken. Staff looked through the internet to find out the construction detail for the tow bar as well as fitting instructions. They talked me through what was going to happen so I was reassured re the options chosen.
I had thought of purchasing a car specific wiring loop but after discussion with them was advised that this would not really achieve much. Infact the sensors work so managed to save £192!!!!! Thanks for that.
Booking was so easy via the net and then had contact with the Carlton Road branch to confirm and talk through some of the details.
So a very good experience and would recommend you get in touch and have a chat with them if you are unsure either with their knowledge or a product to buy

Booked car in for a towbar, did not gave to wait long, car was looked after and the towbar is good. My second towbar fitted by Kens and will be back.

I have used kens many times over the years. For things like tow bars or reversing sensors they do a quality job and there is no one cheaper. Thats why I keep going back.
