Absolutely appalling handling of a…

Absolutely appalling handling of a straightforward return.

We purchased a pair of shorts online and took them out of the packaging to inspect them. We decided they weren’t what we wanted and returned them. They were not worn, washed or damaged by us.

Despite this, the company has refused to provide a refund, claiming the shorts had been “spoiled”.

What makes this even more unacceptable is that the returned shorts apparently sat in their warehouse for a few days before they were even inspected. So we are now expected to accept a vague allegation that the item was “spoiled” when there appears to be no clear evidence demonstrating what supposedly happened to it, when the alleged damage occurred, or who caused it.

If a company is going to refuse a customer’s statutory refund, the very least you would expect is a clear explanation and evidence. Instead, we have been given an extremely unsatisfactory response and left to challenge the decision ourselves.

This isn’t how a reputable online retailer should treat customers.

We are now having to spend our own time pursuing what should have been a very simple return and refund. The whole experience has been incredibly frustrating and has completely destroyed our confidence in this company.

Think very carefully before ordering from them. If something isn’t right and you need to return it, don’t expect the process to be straightforward or for the company to take a reasonable approach.

A very disappointing experience from start to finish, and one that could have been avoided simply by handling the return properly and treating the customer fairly.

I have never experienced such a…

I have never experienced such a frustrating and unreasonable approach to a straightforward online return.

We ordered a pair of shorts online. We took them out of the packaging to inspect them and realised they weren’t what we wanted. They were returned. They were not worn, washed or deliberately damaged by us.

Despite this, the company has refused to issue our refund, claiming the shorts had been “spoiled.”

That explanation is simply not good enough.

What makes the situation even more concerning is that the returned shorts apparently sat in their warehouse for around 10 days before they were inspected. Yet we’re now expected to accept their claim about the condition of the item without a satisfactory explanation of exactly what was supposedly wrong with it, what caused it, or when the alleged damage occurred.

If you’re going to refuse someone’s refund, you should at the very least be able to clearly explain why and provide evidence to support the decision.

Instead, we’ve been left chasing answers and having to challenge a decision that should never have been necessary in the first place.

This is not customer service.

It’s very easy for a company to take your money. The real test is how they treat you when something needs to be returned. In our experience, this company has failed that test spectacularly.

The whole experience has left me with absolutely no confidence in the company, its returns process or the way it treats customers when something doesn’t go exactly as they want.

Potential customers should think very carefully before ordering. If you need to return something, don’t assume you’ll be treated reasonably or that a straightforward refund will actually be straightforward.

For us, this has gone from a simple purchase to an unnecessarily stressful and time-consuming dispute.

Would I buy from them again? Absolutely not.

Would I recommend them? Definitely not.
