This food allowed my dog to lose 15 pounds when she was in very bad health and had terrible arthritis as a result of a medical condition. The 15 pounds was gained very quickly because of a steroid she was being given. I had to give her only a partial portion of the Ketona because there was too much protein in the food and the doctor said that she was excreting too much protein in her urine. I have lost 100 pounds myself on a keto diet which is why I was so anxious that she could be on one as well. She has since been taken off Ketona because she has developed terrible chronic diarrhea believed to be as a result of an allergy to one of the proteins in the food. She is now on a very expensive hydrolyzed diet. So it has its good points and its bad points. I highly recommend you buy it on Amazon because it is difficult to work with the supplier directly.
