Laszlo is a great property manager — always friendly, helpful, and easy to talk to. Whenever there is a problem or question, he responds quickly and does his best to help. I have had an excellent experience with Key Properties, particularly with Laszlo. He is highly professional, proactive, and efficient in his approach. Any issues concerning my flat have always been addressed and resolved promptly, with clear communication throughout the process. His reliability and hands-on attitude provide great reassurance, and I would highly recommend both Laszlo and Key Properties for their outstanding service.

We passed referencing on a house only to be told straight after that the landlord had pulled out.
We've now been having to chase them for 2 weeks to try getting our holding deposit back & still don't have it.
Terrible communication being told virtually every time we call that Lei is in a meeting & that she'll call back, which rarely happens. Absolute nightmare!

Used Key Property to manage my rental property for a couple of years and would not use again. The team are unresponsive and to say they do the bare minimum for their monthly fee would be generous. Examples of issues with Key Property:
1. They do not do the regular checks they should do until you chase them.
2. They asked me to authorised the cost of a gas safety certificate renewal, which I did. I contacted Key Property a couple of months later to ask for a copy of the gas safety certificate, only to be told it never went ahead, so unbeknown to me, I was letting my property without a valid gas safety certificate because of Key Property's mis-management.
3. I live abroad and don't check my bank account every month for the rent money (that's what I pay Key Property a management fee for). One month I realised the rent hadn't been paid (approximately 3 weeks after it was due). I contacted Key Property and they said they were unaware that the rent hadn't been paid and will try and contact the tenants. I explained that one of the neighbours said the property looked empty and asked that they go and check, which they didn't. After multiple calls and emails to Key Property, they confirmed that the tenants had vacated the property without paying the rent and all Key Property could do was return the tenants deposit to me. 5 months later and after many calls and emails, I eventually got the tenants deposit, but they wouldn't do anything to pursue the £1300 worth of damage the tenants did to the property. During this 5 months, not once did Key Property explain why they hadn't paid the funds - all I got was no response to emails and promises of call backs.
The above are just a few examples - sadly, there are many more!!

I recently had a very negative experience living in a flat that was underneath a property managed by Key Property Consultants (Penge branch). The tenant in the flat above repeatedly caused water damage by leaving their bathtub overflowing.

I witnessed these events myself and provided Key with photographic evidence of the flooding. One instance of flooding even involved the tenant recording the damage and posting it on TikTok.

Initially, Key acknowledged their tenant's responsibility and compensated my landlord for the initial damage. They also promised to evict the tenant in December 2023. However, as the damage persisted, their stance shifted.

Despite the compelling evidence I presented, the tenant denied their involvement in the floods, and Key unexpectedly supported their denial. Their dismissive response, claiming no issue due to the absence of plumbing problems, felt invalidating and borderline gaslighting.

Key's lack of action and eventual denial caused significant inconvenience and stress and forced me out of my home. I would strongly advise anyone considering renting through them to look elsewhere.

I’ve been looking for an apartment and Key Property *TRULY* are the rudest and unresponsive letting agency ever. Agents DON’T USE THIS COMPANY.Terrible experience, would ask for documents again and again that had already been sent through. Would not want to work with them again.Key property Letting agency staff are incompetent and dishonest.if you give a crappy service then be prepared to get slated. I have seen the top reviews and these are the agents who are clearly getting it right...Twice now this service has shown itself to be incompetent and inefficient with no regard for the potential tenant at all.Unfortunately my agent on meeting today is ranked 11649 out of 11650 and having had laughably poor service from them, am not surprised by their rating and recognise many of the complaints. They’ve ignored my correspondence, covered for one another. Their appeals process is non existent. Went to this agency once wouldn’t recommend to no one. Don’t use this agency. Very rude and ignorant.When I’ve started speak with one of their managers he didn’t allow me to speak, he turned over and said he can’t assit with my request. If you’re looking for estate agency better find another estate agency and don’t go to them. Disappointing service and unprofessional managers.
