I purchased a child’s ride-on buggy from them because the listing clearly described it as the larger full-size Maverick, including dimensions of 145cm and pricing that suggested it was the more expensive version on offer. That was the reason I bought from them rather than elsewhere.
What they actually sent was the much smaller Mini Maverick, around 110cm long.
They later admitted the specification on their website was wrong and changed the listing. So this is not a misunderstanding or a difference of opinion — they advertised one thing and supplied another.
What made this much worse was their response afterwards. Rather than simply taking responsibility, they suggested I should somehow have realised during assembly that the item was smaller than advertised. That is ridiculous. Customers are entitled to rely on the description a company publishes at the point of sale. I should not have had to second-guess their measurements or check their work while assembling a birthday present.
They then made any refund dependent on me fully dismantling and repackaging the item, despite the real risk of damaging clips, bars and fittings in the process. In other words, after admitting the listing was wrong, they still tried to place the inconvenience, time, and risk onto me.
The whole matter became so unreasonable that I had to escalate it formally to protect myself.
Incorrect product information, misleading presentation, poor complaint handling, and an unfair return process. I would not buy from them again.

Refund confirmed but never received – no response from company
I ordered a ride-on car as a gift and later arranged an exchange due to size. The original item was returned as agreed, and a refund of £381 was clearly confirmed by the company.
The replacement vehicle (Audi TTRS) arrived in poor condition, with visible scuff marks and scratches on the bodywork despite being sold as a new item. I raised this immediately and provided photos, but this has been completely ignored.
More concerning is that the confirmed refund of £381 has still not been processed. I have sent multiple follow-ups via email and their website enquiry form, all of which have gone unanswered. Communication has now stopped entirely.
A refund was agreed, the item was returned, yet the money has not been paid back. Based on my experience, I would strongly advise others to be cautious when purchasing, particularly if anything goes wrong or requires after-sales support.
I am now having to escalate this through my payment provider to recover the funds.

If I could rate it lower I would. Stay away from this company, they are incompetent. They videoed called me about a steering issue with a mini. They wrongly told me it was the motor and I paid £40 for a new one. They said it would be about 2 weeks,6 weeks later it arrived. Just the same issue as the old one wouldn’t steer
Left. I sent 4 emails and several people were going to call me. I waited in for 3 day’s nobody rang. They said they had the wrong number and someone was ringing later that day. Again nobody called and it’s now been 2 weeks. They won’t answer the phone or email, there is no way of getting them to respond. I have a brand new part which won’t rectify the issue. This company and its customer service are absolutely terrible, stay well clear.

I ordered a new battery for my Grandkids car, paid the money and never received the battery. Tried to contact them numerous times. Eventually got an email saying the battery had been dispatched, but the tracking number did not exist. I have never been able to get in contact with anyone despite phonecalls ( don’t bother, phone is never answered) and emails which are never replied to.
The address they give in Norwich does not appear to exist (down behind a dilapidated gated courtyard where 68d and 72d are, but no 70d could be found). Caveat Emptor.

Personally I was so impressed with this company — Their range of kids’ ride-on cars and toys is simply unbeatable — the largest selection I found anywhere in the UK.
From classic models to the latest licensed vehicles, there’s clearly something for every child’s taste and age and these guys know their kids cars inside out from speaking with them - I will say these guys are old school for sure.
The quality of the 2 seat RZR we ordered was outstanding, with safe sturdy builds and amazing attention to detail.
Our little one's absolutely love their new ride on car — it’s safe, fun, and looks incredible! The customer service team was also brilliant — friendly, knowledgeable, and happy to help with any questions we had.
You can tell this company really cares about what they do. If you’re looking for a top-quality ride-on toy and excellent service, look no further — highly recommended!

Not sure why all the negative reviews, they were very helpful with me. Contacted them to source parts, Daniel helped me identify them and got me a quote from the manufacturer, and they arrived on time as promised and worked really well. I say buy with confidence

Initially Harry responded to my emails but the last email they sent they were forwarding the information to their engineer and would let me know when they report back.. never heard from them again, sent various emails and have been totally ignored. My experience is similar to others listed on this site. I emailed the company for advise on buying replacement motors for my kids electric car. "Jack" promptly contacted me by phone to discuss my requirements. He was knowledgeable and seemed reassuringly passionate about ensuring that I got the right product. Jack advised me that once my order was received he would contact me again to get photos and further details to ensure I received the right gearboxes. This promise was promptly followed up by Jack and I sent the appropriate info as requested. I was then advised by email that he would pass my info to the manufacturer. I haven't heard from them since. I appreciate that there may have been complications in obtaining the motors but would have expected a progress report. Don't waste your time on this company. I would advice anyone who has lost money to this company to contact trading standards... lets put this Kidselectriccars.co.uk on their hitlist.
Excellent experience for lost remote control
I ordered a replacement remote control from KidsElectricCars as the one fitting my grandson's car was lost. An employee named Jack emailed me a few times requesting information about the car and told me they'd have to order the replacement part from Taiwan due to the wireless frequency no longer being used in the UK. I received updates about progress and shipping. The replacement RC was received a couple of days ago and it's now paired and working with the car. All told the time from ordering to delivery was about 16 days. The replacement RC is now paired up and working with the car. Really chuffed.
Beware buying from this company
Beware buying from this company. They will scam you and steal your money. Send you faulty items and if you raise a dispute with Paypal they will trick you to send the faulty car using your own money and will not pay for the returns

Do not use this company. We bought a gift for our daughter for Christmas. It worked 3 times and then broke. I have spent the last 3 months trying to get them to send a replacement product. 3 times I have been told that the part has shipped to me. 3 times nothing has arrived. They do not answer the phone. They do not call to explain. You’re lucky if you get a response to your emails.

Ordered a JCB ride on digger from this company, charged me for 2 day delivery and a week later there was no sign of it. Attempted to contact them every day via phone but no one answered.
Luckily paid via PayPal so was refunded after making a dispute. Will order from a more reputable site that will actually deliver what they offer.

Poor poor poor customer service avoid this company the stock isn't there they will take your money then email saying on inspection the item was damaged so couldn't be dispatched.... They claim to ring you but don't they email but then claim they didn't receive your response.. They don't answer the telephone but ask you to leave a message however their mailbox is always full so can't accept messages.. Spoke to a Daniel on live chat claimed to be checking stock for a replacement but never came back to the live chat.. The company is a scam and should be taken down

Worst company and employees I’ve ever dealt with. My kids expensive e motorbike failed well before 1 year, I seeked help in order to obtain support or even spare parts to purchase . Jack responded eventually and told me that he would contact the manufacturers and get back to me asap with solutions but never did, despite many emails urging him to reply. TRULY AWFUL COMPANY, MY ADVICE IS TO NEVER USE THIS COMPANY AND LOOK FOR ALTERNATIVE SELLERS.

Similar experience to the below. Called two days after ordering saying they didn’t have the colour. Then no shipping updates. Then when chased they said order was shipped by turned back. Then promised a Monday delivery. No delivery. Chased again and they said cars wouldn’t be delivered for Christmas but an alternative could. This car was much smaller than my original purchases resulting in us only wanting one for my two year old and having to scramble for a big present for our five year old. Then they delivered two cars. When contacted about sending back, constant refusals to send me an updated invoice (as the new car was less in price). Pick up organised for tomorrow is the extra car, and just received an email with the incorrect refund amount. Nothing from accounts, just from this mysterious “Jack” character.
