Kier

Kier, the very name makes me want to vomit. Took 8 attempts to fix an emersion heater, replaced all parts, flooded my hallway,(repaired at my expense), still doesn,t work properly. Fitted new bath and taps, within 2 months the cold tap pipe is leaking under the bath. Came to remove rubbish left by a moving neighbour and they removed all personal belongings from 5 flats storage lockers, no compensation. Like other reviews, you wait in and they don,t show. Over the last 2 and a half years I think they have cost me about £1500- £1800 in lost overtime, holiday and possessions.

Absolute shocking experience and…

Absolute shocking experience and service with them, 6 months and still waiting for someone to come out and repair a very dangerous area within my garden. And all they can say is, can’t get anyone to do the job!! A danger zone that was taped off my one of there employees and still not repaired 6/7 months later, absolute shocking service and staff

I see a lot of ppl complaining about…a

I see a lot of ppl complaining about kier.
They employ prisoners from hmp wayland
Promising the moon, but loft unsatisfactory work ethics instead. Also kier is a racist company, if 50 ppl were to apply only English white folks would get selected. Ppl of ethnic origin get blackballed or a victim racial filtering.

Door problem

Had to get kier out to fix a problem with my front door. The lady I spoke to on the phone was fantastic, and joiner turned up when I was told he would. Can't fault them!!

Driver of the van cut me up coming out…

Driver of the van cut me up coming out of a junction which was my right of way which I had a child in my car and because I beeped the driver in turn swore at me. Not a good look for the company and the drivers should be more careful and had more road sense

Fitzalan school

Fitzalan school, Cardiff.What a disgusting place with very rude management only seemed interested in brownie points with directors who were visiting the site, on site mood while working was miserable at best, not good at all! h+s safety glasses were a must but a potential fall hazard was acceptable with their double standards, avoid like the plague. Glad to finish here and move on.

Ineptitude at its finest!

Worked for this company for many years when they were part of sheffield council. Typical big company really. Inept upper management working on an "old boys network" basis. Appalling treatment of staff, clients and customers. Bullying is common practice as is disability descrimination. Would recommend everyone to steer clear whether that's in an employee role or as someone purchasing any services from them. They were so bad that Sheffield Council actually took control of repairs back in house once the contract was up for renewal. Just glad I was never a council tenant who had to rely on them for anything despite the fact that I worked for them. 🍆💦

I started work for kier on monday (it's now wedensday) I was doing some construction work on there site in luton working on a school. They make it compulsory to wear bleary vision goggles and its snowing I cant wear a woolly hat under hard hat! They are rude and arrogant staff are werid people I QUIT! the worst people I ever worked for now there disputing my hours

They send 2 boys to run a cable from a box to my house. The box is blocked by cars, they leave and say the job is done. How do appalling companies like Kier get contracts with other companies like Virgin Media? They’re bad and make everyone look bad with their incompetence!

They call themselves builders

They call themselves builders? Our drainage is so bad they have had to redo so much of it and the road we have just finally a year late had laid has got to be dug up to have a new drain laid. So many issues with everybody’s homes it’s unbelievable. Customer service is awful and they don’t accept responsibility . I wouldn’t ever buy again.

I was driving along Manston Road this…

I was driving along Manston Road this evening 1815ish and had the pleasure of one of your racers (WR20 NWN, Now parked on Ulster road) well within a car length of the back of my vehicle for the entire journey while it is chucking it down. I was picking up my wife, with the kids in the back. It may be worth issuing helmets and harnesses for that style of driving and tin openers for all the unlucky road users around him. Will try put the boot cam on youtube for your enjoyment. Chris

KIER SPRINGFIELDS = NO RESPECT

I've already left one post here like 5 months ago.
They are absolutely pathetic. You will leave review about how useless, arrogance and helpless they are and then someone will be in touch with you in next day, promising that they'll fix everything. The problem is... THEY WON'T!
Yesterday I've received an email with list of jobs which they should do in our house. Every single job was marked as COMPLETED?!?!?! No one never done anything with it. Bunch of lying people who's behaviour you can compare with salesman from street trying to cheat you with fake insurance or something.

!!! PLEASE READ IT! DO NOT BUY HOUSE FROM KIER !!!

To all managers:
I will call you and email you as long as you won't finish all jobs in our house. If you can't do it right first time you must spend some time to fix it later. SIMPLE AS THAT.

If you don't want to help us you can expect another review soon.

I have been working for them for more than 2 years. I was doing overtime because I covered colleagues who went on holidays with the condition to give me off in summer, then they changed the managers, supervisor and did not recognise it. I had pictures from the logbook and I had proof of it. The contractor manager RICHARD PACE agreed that I will get the time off in summer. I completed the holiday form, the manager said yes and after 2 weeks I returned from holiday I received a DISCIPLINARY INVESTIGATION that I had also proved why they accused me and I was harassed on meetings where the union rep was on their side fatter 5 months I had to quit the investigation because too much stress and nobody listens.

Last year I verbally reported to RICHARD PACE that the supervisor insulted and aggressive behaviour and I said that I want to leave and he said ”T please don’t leave let me fix it” but after a week or so the supervisor came back from holiday and the next day they moved me from where I was working for 2 years and gave me double workload in the same period of time. I said that was too much and I need help, after 2 days I was violently attacked by the supervisor I wrote a report and I decided to leave. I was called by the manager to come back because I was involved in the investigation and I must stay till the investigation finishes. They suspended the supervisor.
I went but after I have realised that I couldn’t sleep more than 3/4hours/night and I feel tired plus they gave overloaded work.
After one month I have got back pain, headache and so much stress because of the way they were investigating. I went to the GP gave me to adjust the workloads but also ignored that too, the doctor gave not fit for work. Occupation Health meeting which sent them a report but instead of taking actions they changed the OH company. From the beginning, my unison rep Paulette R vas manipulated by kier manager R P and HR investigator also was manipulated so I was walking on eggshells. Now after 6 months I am suffering from back pain, insomnia, headache, stress and depression and overall severe financial problems. I have a personal injury claim that KIER has not responded since October 2019 no admit, not denied. This company has physically, financially emotionally abused me not only Richard Pace.
I suggest never work for this company as they never care about employees, customers or clients!

LATE PAYERS!

As a supplier , Pembroke school contact us for service and we supplied and invoiced. 75 days later they are still making excuses as to why they cannot pay the invoice
can't pay by debit or credit card
can't pay by paypal or send a cheque
after 60 days of having the invoiced they claimed that we had addressed it incorrectly and would not be paid by bank transfer until a new invoice was submitted.
We did that and added late payment interest
Then they claimed our bank details could not be verified! And we had to send them proof !
And during that 70 days - not one apology !
DO NOT SUPPLY - they are most unprofessional!

Absolutely Atrocious Customer Service

My Wife and I visited the new Kier development at Godrevy Parc in Hayle and were particularly interested in one of the new bungalows. However the Kier representative based in the Showroom, although a nice person - was extremely unhelpful/disorganised and was unable to answer simple queries which left us feeling dissapointed. However despite this setback we decided we particularly liked one of the bungalows so much we arranged to put our house on the market as a first step. We live a great distance from Hayle so it was difficult visiting the site, however we visited a second time and arranged for an actual site visit of the plot we were interested in, prior to this we had requested answers to several queries we had - none of them were answered! - a promise to get back to us never materialised! Despite this we continued placing our house on the market and advised the showroom representative of this.

In March March we made contact and advised the rep that we would be down the following week and would like a second site visit to check the plot we were interested in - as as we had a couple of queries - this was met with various excuses as to why we couldn’t and, when pressed how important it was to us, she replied very negatively “well you’ve seen it once and nothing has changed, so what’s the point”! Again when reiterating the importance to us, the rep eventually agreed to check to see if it could be arranged and call me back on in a couple of days before having to attend a course - but no call back was received!

Speaking to some of the residents in the new developement, they commented how dizzy and unhelpful the Kier representative is.

In contrast, the staff in other new development showrooms we’ve visited have always been extremely helpful and knowledgeable, but this Showroom rep is sadly lacking in customer service mainly it appears through a lack of knowledge and poor organisation. This lack of information and cooperation has now deteriorated so bad that we’ve decided not to proceed any further with this particular development.

Kier’s Customer Service is very sadly lacking at this development. Staffing of your their Showroom should be carried out by knowledgeable, cooperative and above all, organised staff, however this is clearly not the case at Hayle.

As a very serious potential buyer I find this extremely frustrating and disappointing from such a large development company.

So frustrated by the whole experience i decided to lodge a complaint to Kier Head Office, an email was sent two weeks ago - but guess what, No Response!

What an atrocious way for such a large Company to behave, in my opinion they treat customers with utter contempt!

Kier, not to be trusted

Kier is a major contractor in the social housing sector, but it seems like it is one of the worst. They make appointments and then do not show up and when they do their workforce make excuse after excuse without being able to solve a single problem. In all honesty a company like this should not exist at all. All they are doing is stealing from hard pressed Houston associations and their tenants who can ill afford this sort of loss. I myself have lost in the region of three weeks pay waiting for cowboys from kier who make appointments and then never turn up.

Seems a regular dissapointing theme …

Seems so similar to other people's reviews. Nobody turns up when supposed to..when they do no one knows what to do or been told anything. They then don't have any tools so can't even do the work when they arrive.

Told no contractors. Work on weekends despite husband and I working weekdays and having already taken numerous time off ...then a phone call a while later, managed to sort it

Customer service is horrendous no one replies to any emails. So unhelpful and stressful with our new build.

Had mould in two rooms from rendering which was poorly constructed. Took over a year to sort this all out.

Such a huge huge shame. But appears to be a common pattern with the company
