Transphobic Owner

Unfortunately Glen the owner has decided that his politics belong in his businesses email correspondence with his customers. Well unfortunately for him I do not support businesses that would like to shove their opinions down their customers throats. Glen (the owner) is transphobic as evidenced by the following advertising email and it's subsequent responses to me after telling him to keep his politics to himself:

We still have inventory in the Gear Ring original color in sizes 5-20. The craziness has subsided (slightly, anyway) so the deal is back on for $25
a ring! $25!!! Kinekt Design is the best. You know you're doing the right
thing when the transgenders start attacking.. and they definitely have
been ramping up their efforts to bring me down as of late.

When I was in school there were no transgenders. It's as if they started appearing magically.. like gnomes who happened to collect mushrooms
in your garden but only if you consumed some of the mushrooms they
were collecting. I like the gnomes way better.

I told him he can shove his ideas parroted from Fox news where the sun doesn't shine. Here's his response:

That's nice.

There is no such thing as a transgender person. However, there is such a thing as mentally unwell people. I do not care if you don't purchase my products or support me.
What I do care about is the erosion of our culture and society due to the "transgender movement" which is a narrative like so many others. Here are some truths:

Men and women should not be sharing bathrooms.
Men and women should not be competing against each other in sports.
Young boys and girls should not be cutting off their body parts.

If you disagree with the above points then it says a lot more about your state of mind than mine. You're very sick and need to get some help.
It is not political. It's common sense which you sorely lack. And you're a business owner? I know we're in bad shape, but man..

To be honest, the American people and the world over are sick and tired of the global elite narratives.
I know you love Kinekt Design so I guess you're just going to have to change your perspective or feel
the fury of many straight men who would like nothing more than to the beat the hell of some sissies
who pose as females to get into bathrooms and other perverted acts.

This is EXTREMELY unprofessional and definitely a good enough reason for me to stop supporting his company or anything he is involved with. I'm sure I'm not alone in that thinking. Whether you agree with his dated ideals or not, no business interested in selling products to the general public should be advertising their political garbage along with their products.

Overpriced and poorly designed…

Overpriced and poorly designed garbage masquerading as “high-end” jewelry. All perfectly bookended with relentless “newsletters” from the owner crying about liberals, trans people, and capitalism. Dude has been running a 90% off “deal” on his gear ring for the last year and a half and he swears up and down it’s “almost out” this time, every time. Don’t buy this trash.

Paid and got nothing

I purchased this ring since it's different when watching videos on YouTube, so far the experience has been horrible, firt I made purchased pay in full and 10 days later nothing so I contacted hello@kinektdesign. and the 1st and only answer was Sorry I'm slammed. That's it then another 5 days go by and still nothing so I asked again when do I get what I paid for so still no answer ans then they decide to cancel my order and I have not seen a refund or any response from this "business " I wouldn't recommend it since they obviously can't keep up and can't comunicate.

Glen from Kinektdesign stole my money (customer since 2011)

As I have no news from April 3rd 2024, it is time to post a feedback.

I ordered a Propeller Ring , size 13, (order #20517). I received an order confirmation with a tracking status link.
25 days later, as I received nothing I wrote to Glen to have some news.

And Glen answered me : "I do not have the Propeller Ring / 13 / gunmetal, but do have the 12 / original."
So nothing to do with what I ordered.

Quite disapointed to have waited for nothing and to have not even been informed about the state of my order, I asked for a refund ... and Glen refused, telling "time was hard" , and the only thing he could do was to give me a 175USD gift card.

As I already bought several gear rings and gear neack lace mini in the past [1] I didn't wanted to buy other things but the Propeller ring he could not provide and I insisted to have a refund as the fault was not on my side.

Then he answered that , as I refuse compromise (that he imposed) , it was time to say "goodbye now".

I have to admit that KinektDesign is not a Company you can trust anymore.

This is my worst buying experience, ever.

Glen can’t even answer a question BEWARE

Sent Glen an email asking a simple question. Are you going out if business?
I asked him as I read a few posts he was. Before I placed an order I thought it was relevant as to how customer service would be. I planned to buy several rings for my team. Glen was the furthest thing from professional. After multiple condescending email responses from him I asked 1 more time. Again he never answered it just an a$$hole comment. If you want to buy from a jerk that has zero care about you here is the guy. If not several people offer the same rings he does and they care about customers.

I am adding my own one star review to all the other ones wishing we could give zero stars. I bought several products from them over the years and been quite satisfied. Including them following through on their original replacement guarantee. I contacted them yesterday and Glen has been nothing but an a$$hole. Coupled with his increasingly frequent unhinged conspiracy emails, it certainly seems like he has developed some mental health issues. Bottom line? Stay far far away from this company.

Glen from Kinekt Design is a thief

This company is the worst. Glen treats customers like the Gestapo, you can’t speak out against his unethical business practices or he will act like a petulant child throwing a tantrum because I do not accept paying for a product and then not receiving it nor getting any updates on the production of said product. Lodged complaints with the BBB and the FTC for unethical practices, I can only hope more people do the same to draw some attention to this thief. Judging from all the poor reviews I see here, I’m not the only one falling victim to this scheister who took my money over a year ago and never sent the product and now refuses to email back.

Loyal repeat customer no more!

I can’t believe I have to resort to posting a bad review out of frustration. We bought and paid for a ring in October of ‘23. No product. No updates since. We made a second order November of ‘23. I’ve reached out at least 3 times for an update or ETA. The response I received the first was ‘be patient’. Fair- although I reached out 3 months after the purchase. As of today I reached back out to Glen and KD responded with the most condescending and unprofessional response-

“The world is at war, the economy is shot, and the fiat currency is collapsing.
Please change your expectations accordingly.”

I can’t believe this is how a SMB operates. Talk about customer disservice. Now I’ve asked for a refund. Let’s see what happens. It’s quite unfortunate as I have two products from them that I ordered many years ago. I love them. I’m a loyal repeat customer. At least I was…

Simple warranty request becomes ugly

I usually don't review stuff. But after reading the other reviews I had to add my own experience:
Bough the ring 10 years ago, loved it, still do, it has been worn, obviously but still looks great. short while ago, one tiny screw broke one of the gears fell off,.
¨No factor, I though, It has a lifetime warranty¨
wrote a simple email, stating what happened and included two close up pictures.
Very next day, they get back (nice) but state the warranty does not apply to ¨every day use¨ whatever that means... they offered a discounted price for a replacement.
I replied, again, neutral and polite email, and stated the screw breaking/falling off was in fact a defect in my opinion. I ended my email by writing that I work as a warranty manager for a boat dealer,

his reply and I quote ¨there is no way that we're sending you a free ring. In fact, I'm going to decline the initial offer for the discount which was quite significant.
You should probably leave your arrogance and hubris with the boats which as everyone knows are money traps. Take care and good luck.¨
Conclusion: all those recent comments about cocky, impolite, insulting interactions are 100% factual.
I will fix my ring myself, or pay a real professional jeweler to do it.

Buyer Beware

We purchased a “Time Machine” in Nov of 2022 and still have no received it. After reaching out repeatedly (timeline below) over a year and a half we are still told it is “in production”.

After reading other reviews here and other sites I’m fairly certain we will never see this clock. Despite the website listing them as “in stock”.

- We first reached out in May of 2023 to check on the status of our order and were told it was “in production”.
- We checked in a second time in August of 2023, and received the same answer.
- A third time in September of 2023, without a response.
- A fourth and fifth time in October, after seeing on the website that the clocks are “in stock”.
- A sixth time in November and were told the clock would be ready in January or February of 2024.

We were charged $790 for a product that has not been completed after nearly a year and a half and that is unacceptable. Especially when the website stated the clock is “in stock” and is now only $325. (When I brought this to the owner’s attention, he changed the price on the website to $1,250 and told me I got a good deal.)

Numerous requests to cancel our order and issue a refund in full have been denied.

HORRIBLE PRODUCT! ASSHAT CS! STALKER!

I would absolutely give -5 stars if possible.
Quality is awful, customer service is disgusting, and they DO NOT honor their life time warrantee.
After an ugly email chain, this scumbag is now harrassing me. I had to threaten calling the police.
I would suggest not wasting your money on such a garbage company. Walmart has better products and customer service...and that is saying a ton!
NO LOVE FOR THIS ASSHAT AT ALL!

Sloppy, aggressive, petty

I ordered a ring. Color was not as I expected, so I paid to return it and swap for plain stainless steel, no big.

The second delivery was to an entirely different (non-existent) address, not even remotely close to mine although the street number and city were the same (???). I VERY politely tried to resolve this, but he said it was impossible for him to have made a mistake, and I'd have to pay for another round of shipping. I provided *photographs* of receipts showing I had entered my correct address, and he just said "nope" and forced me to either pay for additional shipping, or go through the hassle of suing someone across state lines.

Don't do business with this guy. He's an aggressive, petulant, petty person who will punish you for his own mistakes.

Don't know where the fall off was

Glen, is a complete joke unfortunately...after the best customer experience I could ask for years ago getting my wedding ring.

My wife this past December ordered a couple things as Christmas gifts. Christmas came and went with no update, my wife had sent in a few emails with no response. January comes and goes- no response. So she lets me know at the beginning of February she hasn't received any follow up regarding her order. So I email Glen, cc'ing her onto it, asking for an update and the answer I got, from "KD" who happens to use the same email ask Glen, was "Once they become available, we'll ship her order as soon as possible".

Now since we were going on 60 days with no update on shipping or anything, I thought that was an unacceptable customer service response and made that known as well as just wanting a refund instead of just holding my wifes money.

Glen/'KD' - then decides to cancel the order but give no answer on the refund.

So my wife has submitted a fraud claim on both orders. she did get a refund on 1of 2 orders but as of me writing this hasn't received the second.

THEN, in a marketing email I just received, he makes up story, that we spam emailed him from separate emails. it was 11 emails total, including his responses over the course of 7 days. Not really spam if that's a conversation between 3 people.

Guy is a joke now, I asked for him to call and discuss what happened, nothing. That's after the great time we had getting my wedding ring from him (wearing it presently glen)

I can't recommend anyone buy anything from this company knowing how he treats repeat customers and the BS he's pulling.

He needs some staff, I was interested in working with him, but then after the whole thing with my wife - that interest evaporated instantly.

For over five years

For over five years, I have been a loyal customer of Kinekt Design LLC, appreciating their unique offerings, until my recent experience drastically changed my perspective. In January 2023, I placed an order, expecting the same quality service I had come to know. However, after a year-long wait with no delivery, I reached out to Glen Liberman on January 1, 2024, to cancel my order and request a refund. Initially, Glen agreed to the refund, but his attitude shifted dramatically when I followed up after not recieving anything month later. His response was not only dismissive but outright rude, informing me bluntly that he hadn’t issued the refund and suggested I should sort it out with my bank instead. This abrupt and unprofessional handling, starkly contrasting with my previous experiences, was both surprising and disappointing. Coupled with similar negative feedback from other customers on the Better Business Bureau, it’s clear that my situation is not isolated. My long-standing customer relationship with Kinekt has unfortunately ended on a sour note, urging potential buyers to proceed with caution.

Avoid Horrible Customer Service with Glen

I asked my Credit Card company to chargeback an item that was unshipped. I wanted to cancel on the website but there was no option. Glen waited for the company to send him a formal chargeback inquiry to ship. Then he sends me an email on my personal subject entitled: Hi ____

Body: Hi ____. I will ban you from ever purchasing my products.

I bought the initial ring at $175. I asked on his website chat for a refund when he dropped the price to $50 and then $25 within two weeks.

Ring designs are super cool but do not give this company an ounce of your attention or $.

I am going to keep the rings and fling them around. I wasted my time and $. Do not waste yours.

Poor quality and customer service

Ok first of all years back I purchased the gear ring and loved it but I just recently lost it after having it for YEARS. Then I just purchased another one for the same price of $175 and the quality has went down you can pull out on ring and there is looseness and before new one came in the reduced them to $50 and wouldn’t give adjust my price. I was told now refund and to bad. I will never buy from this company again. Kinektdesign go back to when you started and figure your crap out.

DO NOT BUY! DO NOT BUY! DO NOT BUY!!!!!!!

I really think that 0 stars should be an option. My husband has wanted one of their gear rings for years. I purchased the ring for him for Christmas, these were the issues:
1) The ring was not true to size. When you compare it to another ring that's supposed to be the same size, you can see the difference. When you compare it to a ring sizer, you can see the difference.
2) The ring was CHEAP. When I pay almost $200 for a ring, I don't think it should feel like it came out of a gumball machine.

I contacted the company about exchanging the ring. I was told that there was a $25 fee to exchange it. When I inquired if the fee included shipping, GLEN responded "No, it doesn't. Your responsible for shipping costs. I wish I could do it for free, but Kinekt Design is a small business. I don't get government handouts like Amazon, Tesla, etc." When I asked what the fee covered, GLEN responded "The service fee covers someone going to our location, picking up the packages, removing / replacing the item, and repackaging. This requires energy and effort which is not free. Americans have it way too good which will not be the case for much longer as you will quickly learn. I'm going to do exchanges for the reminder of this month and then stopping the service in February."

I was dumbfounded at this response. I am a customer service manager for a company and I would never speak to a customer that way!

I am now stuck with a ring that doesn't fit and I'm out $182.50 or I pay an additional $25 plus shipping 2 ways because when I said I wanted to return the ring, I was told "There are no refunds at this time. This is stated in the FAQ. Your best bet is to keep what you have or do the exchange." Honestly, how is that even legal? I looked at everything I received and what's on their website and there is no mention anywhere except on the FAQ that they don't do refunds. That is absolutely ridiculous. It should be included at that time of purchase.
