How a GP is operating in a pandemic

I am so very annoyed at my former GP. Why, you might be wondering, they are dealing with a deadly pandemic. Off course your right, but there is dealing with it and caring for and looking after your patients, OR there is for some GPs like kingsburyHealth&Welbing who sees the pandemic as an opportunity to line their pockets!. Sorry even if this is not the case, it feels like it becuase of their actions. This review may not be published and I accept that decision if that is the case as its critical of a GP practise.

Here is the point, a recent ailment gave me cause to contact my GP, but off course during the pandemic you don't get to visit your GP. So, point 1 they don't see many patients. My ailment and pain from it continued for a few months until I decided to get private treatment. But my company required a form, a single page to be completed by the GP. This I thought would be great for the GP and they would be only to happy and willing to complete the form so that I can get treatment elsewhere privately freeing up precious resources in the NHS to treat someone less fortunately than myself. But you'd be wrong, there was a fee of £50, and it was explained a doctor would have to read my notes for 20mins to complete the form and the fee for that was £50.! So I must pay £50 for a service the goverment pays the GP tens of thousands of pounds to do exactly that; read and keep my notes updated, oh and to treat patients off course?. KingburyHealth&Welbeing is paid extra cash during this pandemic, yet few to zero patients are seen, I know this because when I have visited them are no patients are waiting in surgery, its empty, YET when I try an book an appointment I am told they are fully booked. Something is not adding up here.

Anyway I am told to pay a fee of £50 to have a form completed which I must leave with them and pick at some future date. This too avoid using precious NHS resources. This certainly deserves one star for frankly substandard service.

I am now happily with another far more caring GP practise. There are actual patients in the practise being seen by a doctor when you visit, and yes even now during this pandemic. This must be a new concept for KH&W seeing patients I mean, remember they are paid to see patients! Am I wrong?

To everyone reading this, you have a choice if you're unhappy with your GP; change, as I did, you will miraculously start to feel better!!!!
