I always want to support a local business, where you always get top class advice, tried and tested products, and help down on the beach. With sports like kitesurfing, it is always worth buying from an expert, someone who lives and breathes the sport, and doesn't stock anything he hasn’t already tried or has experience of. I’ve had both lessons and have bought all my equipment from Grant and have always had 100% customer service from him.

Had a lesson with Kitesurf Scotland best instruction I have had with safety always foremost. It is clear to see it is a major thing in his life to watch his pupils progress. I have also bought kit from them which is always at a reasonable price and fast delivery. For anyone looking to start kite surfing or looking to progress I would thoroughly recommend them.

After being recommended by too many people to take up kite surfing and to use this school, finally took the plunge. Grant Clayton, the schools owner couldn’t have been more helpful, great instruction from Aldo to get me kiting. Grant and Aldo then both gave lots of advice on what equipment I needed to continue the sport and then gave me a better deal on equipment than anywhere I could find. Kite surfing is so obviously their passion. Great people too. Very very thoroughly recommended.

With ecommerce you can easily find the cheapest deal nowadays/wait for a sale and buy. But you get it fast delivery and the service is top tier. With watersports kit especially kiting you want to try it like a new car, because this car can hurt you if it’s not well built and been vetted by a kiting veteran you trust. Trust takes time to build but can be broken faster. If you’ve bought from Grant, been instructed by him you’ll see the quality. Grant has stayed true to his sport and his passion shines through. I’ve known Grant since he took the business over and he had to deal with his predecessors unprofessional corner cutting practices and seen his resilience shine through as he took over, Grant and his team that know their stuff and can’t recommend them enough. When buying your first kite you don’t really know what works for you and you do need a person who has experience on many kite brands and seen the kites evolve over the years to give you a honest opinion. Grant especially, is great but it’s his whole team and community that makes it top tier. Anyone can drop ship but with smaller items but this type of business you need the knowledge and experience to really sell it well and sustain the business. looking at kite/wings that all look the same and he’ll explain why it’s better, let you try them before you buy as he has regular demo days. If you have been instructed by Grant his team are amazing at helping you by helping you get over that hump to being a competent kiter by keeping watch, the
Community helps to which he built through his positivity and passion for the sport and even some big names are taking notice coming to Troon and that’s down to Grant and his team maintaining the high standards and helpful culture in Troon and organised kiting trips around Scotlands stunning white sand and turquoise paradise beach’s with mega wind and kickers. He’ll explain and showing you the differences in kites and what to watch for. He’s built a great welcoming community and I think that’s why he’s going to do great.
Can’t fault them at all. He will be my go too for kit for sure.

Had many questions since my lessons last year and have always had a quick and informative response. All orders have been delivered next day and any time I may have ordered an item that isn't suitable I have been given alternative recommendations before anything has been shipped. With adrenaline sports, it is always worth buying from an expert, someone who lives and breathes the sport, and doesn't stock anything he wouldn't trust in action, whether that is a light wind foiling outfit, a mega wind boosting machine, or something for freestyle or waves. We are lucky to have these guys at the centre of the west coast scene, leading the way in teaching, and riding.

Although I've been 'intermittently' kite surfing for years, after any time away Grant and his team have been exceptional with their care and attention. Making sure I have the correct advice, equipment setup and always providing equipment hire when needed. Your in safe hands with Kitesurf Scotland!
