Wonderful time in Madrid
The trip was so well planned. It had a good mix of types of sites/activities. The guide and bus driver were delights and the guide made sure we were on schedule and everyone was accounted for. She also understood our need for bathroom visits and found good places to stop. I would definitely tour with them again.
The trip went off like a dream
The trip went off like a dream! The hotel was wonderful - clean, staff was attentive and food great. The coach driver was kind and always on time. The tour director was accommodating to all our needs as was the host. All the sites were great. Was more than what I expected and could have hoped for.
I went on the Barcelona trip expecting…
I went on the Barcelona trip expecting the same quality and professionalism on the tour. First, the hotel didn’t have my name and no reservation. It finally got worked out and I got to go to my room but never had my name on the reservation, so tough getting breakfast and checking out. I told my guide, Michelle but she did nothing. Michelle said that she would contact us through What’s Up app but my roommate and I didn’t have that app. Actually a few people didn’t have app, so she took our email and would contact us through that. Never received any emails or information so we missed everything. She never held any sign or flag so we could follow her and she just kept walking and not checking out to see if she had everyone. She gave me directions to get back to the hotel and the directions were wrong so I was lost in Barcelona for over an hour and a half. She then got upset with me (I told Ann Massey what was going on) by not showing me where the bathroom was when I asked but she knew where the bathroom was because when someone else asked she brought us right to the bathroom
I expected more from knitting tours. They reimbursed me for the cabs I had to take, but didn’t offer any money back or a discount on another tour when it was obvious that Michelle (tour guide) ruined my trip to Barcelona

Fun Trip with a Well Organized Company
First, we chose this trip because we visited Barcelona last year and wanted to return. As a knitter, I receive KnittingTours emails. After a 5 minute discussion, we booked it. As for the company: All questions I had while booking were answered quickly and completely. Prior to the trip, we received a personalized itinerary which showed us a well balanced amount of knitting vs tourist time and enabled us to plan other activities during free time. Transportation to and from the airport was excellent. The hotel was comfortable, beautiful, located within relatively easy walking distance to many features and food service was very good. Our guide, Michelle: knowledgable, organized and extremely friendly. She kept us apprised of any itinerary changes personally or through emails, texts and activity board. We had all the information we needed to make sure we were on time of all events. The Knitting Festival was fun...so much yarn, so little time! And even though, we grumbled at being there on opening day 1 1/2 hours prior to the doors opening (first in line).......we thanked Michelle profusely as hundreds of folks lined up behind us!!! The knitting classes/workshops with Carol Feller and Lisa Sisk were wonderful....so much knowledge!!! I appreciated their "knitting is fun" attitude and reassurance that we should work at our own pace. You can probably tell that we really enjoyed this trip. I highly recommend KnittingTours and hope to take another trip with them in the future.
I truly enjoyed the trip to Barcelona
I truly enjoyed the trip to Barcelona! So nice having a class with Carol Feller! Learned how to steek! Got to see and get a picture with Stephen West! So unexpected…. My accommodation was exceptional even though the room did not have a view or wash cloth…
Excellent trip!
Had a wonderful experience. Hotel accommodations were top notch, attractions and events were very well planned out and our tour guide Michele was on top of the coordination and communication within the group. The itinerary was amazing, with just enough personal time to do a little exploring on our own.
Terrific trip to Barcelona for…
Terrific trip to Barcelona for Barcelona Knits! Michelle was a wonderful tour guide! And it enjoyed meeting the other knitters on the trip. A wide variety of activities. Montserrat is not to be missed.
Our knitting tour of Spain was a great…
Our knitting tour of Spain was a great experience. Our tour guide, Cecilia was knowledgeable, efficient, organized and fun to be with. Our bus driver, Juan Carlos got us to our destinations safely and in a timely fashion. Each special event such as Tapas competition, Sangria preparation, Espadrille decorating and Flamenco performance were well planned and a lot of fun - things we probably wouldn't do on our own.
The only downside was our detour to the Monasterio which was rushed and didn't add to the experience. Of course the floods in Valencia kept us from exploring the park surrounding the Monasterio, but there would not have been much time for that at any rate. This could be skipped in the future.
All in all a great trip and I definitely would recommend Irish Knitting Tours and travel with them again!
Top notch

Every detail was handled seamlessly, making the trip both enriching and stress-free. This is my second trip with Knitting Tours and l highly recommend them for an unforgettable experience!
