Total scam. Avoid!!!

Ditto everything that has been written here:
- Scam company
- Fake message from founders who are supposedly retiring
- Dress received was not like what was pictured. On their website, the dress appeared to have an almost quilted texture. What I received was cheap, synthetic material printed with the image of the item on their website.
- Ridiculous runaround when trying to return it — first, I had to email them to request help with returns. Then, their staff member “Piper” wanted to know why I was making the return. Blah, blah, running down the 30-day return window clock. By my 4tn email, “Piper” said, “I would like to receive a photo of the package + the product so that we can assess whether the return is eligible for a refund. In addition, this also helps to assure you that the purchase amount will be refunded to your account even if your product is damaged during the return.” But, honestly, Piper, no need to waste my time, b/c, as others have stated, it’s not worthwhile to mail this trash back to some sketchville address in China—“Contact person: Wei Xinhong, Address: Lane 1177, Jianlan Road, diagonally opposite the South Gate of Lubao Technology, Yinzhou District, City: Ningbo, Postal Code: 315100, Province: Zhejiang, Country: China
- Incidentally, I googled this address and found it being used as the supposed return address for numerous companies, including: Hudson Bay Boutique (same customer complaints on Trust Pilot; Walker & Sons, Los Angeles (same website aesthetic as Knox & River and, coincidentally, they are also supposedly closing and retiring…); Lovania (supposedly in the Netherlands); James & Olivia “where real style meets real people” LOL); North & Muse, Vancouver—you guessed it! Also retiring!); Dreamaty (supposedly an Australian company), Hudson Row (you guessed it! “Mike & Jessica Anderson built their New York fashion store with passion, creativity, and a deep love for style. After many years… it's time for them to step into a new chapter: retirement.)
- You gotta hand it to these guys, they definitely have latched onto a marketing story and a website aesthetic that seems to work! White-bearded gentleman, and his slightly younger-looking wife, smiling out from the website and thanking customers for their loyalty…
- Buyer beware! I will be reporting this scam to my credit card company.

I would put 0 stars for this company

I would put 0 stars for this company. it took forever to arrive, the quality did not match pictures and the dress was paper thin, they have created multiple obstacles for return, which basically lead to a no return policy. once you every agree to keep the dress and receive $17 for a $69 dress, they create obstacles for paying you back saying their system is down. biggest scam. ever.

Scam store - no actual "New York" store front.

I gave it one star because I could not give it zero stars.
Typical low-quality clothing. READ the return. It has a policy but in the fine print you have to return it to CHINA for a refund at your cost if you want a refund. You will NOT be returning it to New York store.
Clothing descriptions DO NOT match what you get.

This is a SCAM

This is a SCAM! They could not be more Fraudulent! The clothes were substandard- not at all as described. I am certain they took pictures from other retailers to use on their site. I asked repeatedly if this was a US BASED company- it is not. They assured me it was. The clothes shipped from CHINA- and all returns go back to CHINA. To send my return to some very sketchy address it was $183 dollars. DO NOT BUY- and spread the word!

They're using FAKE TRUST PILOT reviews

I saw the beautiful photos and raving "trust pilot" logo with thousands of reviews on their website and started to get suspicious.

They even go as far as inventing the designer couple who is retiring to spend more time with their grandchildren so they're having a half off sale.

When you actually come to Trust Pilot and type them in, you see the terrible actual reviews which are different from what they have the nerve to post on their site.

This is THE MOST sophisticated cheap clothes from China scam that I've seen out there. Very believable.

what a scam!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OMG-what a scam!!!
the clothes are cheap and crappy but look good on a picture. thought worth a try! but, trying to return items, impossible! cost more to return than it was to purchase. not even sure they will be a hit at good will, which is where they are going.

what a scam!
my first time, and hopefully, my last of being scammed.

and, ha, knew it because whoever i was writing up and back with was so pleasant but making me jump through hoops, went to a DHL and they just laughed at me (i laughed at myself too). I very much doubt there is a knox and river in NY.

scam, scam, scam!

Knox & River is a SCAM!

The company advertises high quality clothing, with online photos of items that appear to be well made. Unfortunately what they ship to you is the lowest quality fabric, often with the pattern printed on rather than woven. If you try to return items they will delay, try to send different items, perhaps agree to a return but provide no return address. The site states they are a NY company closing due to retirement. Products ship from China and take weeks to arrive. After messaging that the buyer must pay for shipment back to China I have contacted my credit card company for a refund. Many online sites represent the company as a scam business.

Don’t get fooled by the pics! Steer clear of Know and River

Product, a dress was cheaply made and very small for the size I ordered. While purchasing, the website said returns were easy. Well, found out I have to return to China, at my cost, more than the dress is worth. The website clearly led me to believe it was a New York based company. This information finally came after a week, and three requests for a return label. Company is clearly a scam.

Ridiculously small

I ordered two size medium jackets, which is my normal size (10 or M). They were much too small, but I thought a larger size would be ok. I received size large and they’re still much too small. They’re too tight, too short, and the sleeves are also too short. What a ripoff! DO NOT SHOP THERE!

Don’t do it

Don’t do it! My credit card number was stolen right after I ordered and I tried to cancel the order but they said it was too late. The dress that was delivered was absolute crap and not a thing like the pictures. See picture from website versus what arrived - extremely cheap polyester dress - NOTHING like what they represent on the site. And it did ship from China. Beware!!

HORRIBLE BAD BUSINESS

Do NOT and I repeat, DO NOT buy anything from this company. What I ordered and what I received were not nearly the same thing. I requested to return the pair of boots I purchased for a refund, per their refund policy, and after several back-and-forth emails, first they wanted to charge me $20 + shipping to return them. Then they said they would refund them, but not pay for shipping. Fine. But the shipping address was in China! They shipped from a warehouse in the US, but now I have to ship them for $100 back to China! Wait. What!? They have bad business practices. Their website images are FALSE. What you order IS NOT what you will receive. I wouldn't even donate the shit that I received. It's that bad.

Be wary of this company and it's return policy

The dress takes longer than expected to arrive but that wasn't an issue. The issue started over the fit. It runs quite small. Too small for me to wear. The site says you have 30 days to return the item. I wasn't asking for an exchange as I knew the exchange would not arrive on time. You have to email them and request a refund and why. I did that but then they want more information so I sent that then they ask for a picture of the item and the packaging and I sent that. They agree to take the item back and give a refund and sent the return form to fill out. But the return is to an address in China and there is a disclaimer that if it gets held up in customs you won't get a refund. So now you are out your money and still have no dress. The company gives the impression it is in the U.S.
Oh, they offered to work with me to get me something in exchange, "for a small added fee".

Too late I checked on the legitimacy of this company and discovered the trust level is very low. Lesson learned. Always check out an online company to see it's trust level.
