First time user of Kolabtree, so wrote to customer service by email several times - the only way of contacting them - and received no acknowledgment, no response, after 2 business days. They have reassured me that the system was experiencing a downtime, hope they will bring it up to speed.

I trust them please you do too.

The trajectory of my project changed and death, continuing Covid19 related issues concerning my health has taken place. I emailed customer care to see how to handle aborting the project. Six hours later, no response. I'm highly upset and need the funds refunded. I'm at a loss as how to contact the support department as an email has gotten me absolutely nowhere. Very disappointed with this delay. Support has now responded and the matter has been settled. I changed my star rating to 5 because of the situation being resolved and my freelancer Rashmi Sharma was very patient and professional during this time. In better times I would definitely use this platform again.

The platform is great.
Everything is explained in the orientation e-mails.

I have some issues with the user interface: saved projects don't come up in a separate tab, you can only see them when you browse projects; the font in workspace chat is almost too tiny to read, notifications don't disappear after you looked at them, and many more annoying and counterintuitive things.

But by far the most important drawback is that Kolabtree doesn't provide enough information about the client (address) to facilitate correct filling of VAT. The default option of 21% VAT is useless if a client is outside of the EU. So they create some illusion of facilitating above board transactions, but it's pure fiction in a lot of cases.

Also, I don't understand why the client can rate me, but I can't rate them. If they were rude or annoying, I would like to have a way of warning other freelancers.

However, the platform (website) is as user-unfriendly as possible. It’s slow to load, you get lost in the webpages searching for one specific function and you’ll be getting tons of unnecessary emails for every update.

I want to tell you about some flaws that the Kolabtree platform has and that make it less convenient than other similar solutions.

You should know that when you publish your project, kolabtree allows all candidates to write questions or public comments that sometimes harm the success of your project. For example, a candidate who publish his commercial offer (price) in public will influence the opinion of other candidates.

Worse, you have no right to delete comments posted by other candidates about your project, and this is against the GDPR.

Second, when an applicant harasses you, you will not be able to block or report them.

When you get a notification and click on it, it doesn't take you anywhere. You have to look for the exact location of the link and click on it. So the notification window is not fully clickable.

Even worse, when you receive a message from a candidate, you don't have access to the conversation unless you click a "reply" button.

This platform has a catastrophic UI, it lacks a lot of basic features, and then the support is often absent in the live chat.

I don't recommend this web application.

This is a wonderful service allowing me to find the expert I need to help me with my research statistics. I found one who offered a great price and exceptional results. I am very pleased.
