Hate buying crypto where when I sell its not the same amount, its less to where last time they took 30.00 but yet I’m signed up for the membership with no fees. To me that 30.00 is a fee/a tax and I assume the 30.00 taken was the spread. If there wasn't a big change in price when buying or selling take the difference and give me the rest instead of keeping it. As far as navigating the site its pretty easy. Would 5-star it but just dont like the spread tax

I joined Kraken after a friend strongly recommended it, saying it was the best wallet for crypto. I opened my account with high expectations, excited to start trading and investing.
However, my experience has been very disappointing. Shortly after making my first deposits, my account was suddenly restricted, and I haven’t been able to perform any actions since. This has been extremely frustrating, especially as my funds are now locked.
At this point, all I want is to recover my money so I can invest it elsewhere, if no solution can be provided. Unfortunately, based on my experience, I cannot recommend this wallet.

I've been very frustrated with them. I have money that I cannot put into my account so I can buy more XRP coins, but they won't let me put more money in, because I hit my very low limit of $700. I tried to raise the limit but apparently, they could read my driver's license photo. So now I've been waiting and waiting for an approval. so I can do business, not fun, prices change every day. I’m still waiting on a response from the team working on this matter. The problem began on April 29, and that’s WELL over 24 hours ago. It was supposed to be answered within 24 hours, and I have received nothing. No reason, no excuse for the trouble, not a single notification. And it still says pending.

I don't like when you hit recurring payment, and you try to cancel isn't user friendly, and you can't contact a live person to help you. I still don't know if me ever got canceled. This is my problem 🙄 I happy to say they have contacted me and assured me that this matter has been taken care of. If not I'll be back on here.

I used x10 margin to hedge my entire (small) XRP spot position. Because it was x10, I took 1/10 of the total amount as margin. It took a little longer to work out, 14 days. But when I closed off, and squared the numbers, I was shocked how much in fees this "hedge" cost me. And I had traded on margin before, and had kept positions longer than two weeks fine.
This time let me tell you, it cost me 20% of the amount I borrowed. It'd have been 40% per month.
And this is not all. The amount that I did receive in profit when I settled the hedge, was also reduced by another fee of 13% of the total gain.
All in all I'm (somewhat) worse off than before I hedged. And this given that xrp has rebounded!
I would not use Kracken again to hedge a spot position. Buying and selling spot is fine.

Started 06 Oct. 2025 and went on for 17 days! I have been, and still am being, prevented from making transfers of any kind outside of Kraken/Kraken Pro. I have reached out to complain but the only way to do this is by opening an AI chat and then, after a not-so-user-friendly series of options and inadequate responses, I get told that a human agent will respond to my messages; the chat stays open and between 4 and 48 hrs later I see that someone came to the chat, says, "Hello, are you still there?" obviously I am NOT still there and they say, "We'll keep this chat open for another [timeframe] and feel free to reach out if you still require assistance" (or words to that effect). How, exactly can I have a "chat" with someone who doesn't respond for extended periods of time, most of which was while I was asleep, at 23:00 and later? I ended up not starting my subscription and still, I can only sell my assets and transfer money to a banking institution to transfer anything at all from the app(s)/account. Ridiculous behaviour and poor business management. I can't even get the AI bot to tell me where to find 'Settings' in the Android Kraken app, "I am sorry, I can't find any information about where Settings are in the Kraken app." Your Support Team member, Alice Oct. 22 @ 8:47, tells me to, "Navigate to 'Settings and then click 'Verification', I would if I knew where 'Settings' was. Your FAQs tell me -"To verify your account with Kraken, tap "Start personal verification" and provide the following..." Where, exactly would I find this item so I may 'Tap' on it? Ridiculous set up, ridiculous responses and a ridiculous follow up SIX months AFTER the fact!

I’ve been using Kraken Pro for a while now, and overall, it’s been a solid experience. The platform feels built for people who actually want to trade seriously, not just casually buy and hold. The interface can seem a little complex at first, but once you get used to it, it gives you way more control than most basic apps.
One thing I really like is the lower fees compared to other platforms—it actually makes a difference when you’re running multiple trades. The charts, order types, and overall performance have been reliable for me, even during more volatile market moments.
Deposits and withdrawals have been smooth so far, and I haven’t had any major issues with execution delays, which is a big deal in crypto trading.
That said, it’s not perfect. It can feel overwhelming for beginners, and I think the mobile experience could be a bit more user-friendly. Also, customer support could be faster depending on the situation.
Overall, Kraken Pro is a strong choice if you’re looking to level up from beginner apps and want more control over your trades. Definitely more of a “trader-focused” platform than a beginner-friendly one.

I joined Kraken, then paid to be a Kraken+ member, only to shortly thereafter have restrictions placed on my account rendering the account useless, yet I'm charged for service. I tried to cancel from the app, but get some nonsense message stating I have to cancel through some other provider but the provider isn't listed. I will be seeking to start or join a class action lawsuit to put this predatory practice to an end.
