Much better suppliers out there! Avoid this one.

I purchased a 3KW SNRA inverter and 5KW Eastman battery pack from Kweli Energy at a total cost of UGX 8.9 million, plus an additional installation fee. While the equipment itself seemed fine initially, my experience with their service has been deeply disappointing.

During installation, the technicians insisted on having remote control access to my unit from their office — something I was not comfortable with and had not been informed about beforehand. This led to an unnecessary dispute that left a bad first impression.

More recently, when I had a technical issue and handed over the unit for repair, they kept it at their facility for over a week with very little communication or updates on what was happening. The lack of transparency and the slow turnaround was frustrating, especially given the amount of money invested in this system.

I have since requested the return of my equipment and will be seeking repairs elsewhere. For such a significant investment, I expected a much higher standard of after-sales service. I hope Kweli Energy takes customer feedback seriously and improves their communication and service delivery. I am now trying to get hold of them to return the unit but with little success.

Unfair charges urpon return and extended delivery time

I have consistently purchased products from Kweli.shop, but my experience today has been very disappointing.
•I was charged a 20% of the purchase amount return fee despite returning a freezer that had not been unboxed, simply because I changed my mind.
•After paying an additional amount for a preferred chest freezer, I was then informed that delivery would take up to seven working days.
This experience raises concerns about the level of service from what I previously considered a reliable and customer-focused store.
I would advise others to proceed with caution when dealing with them.

Dear Micheal,
First, we would like to thank you for being our supporter for over 5 years (since 2020). We are afraid that after 8 orders through this period we couldn't convince you on the difficult change-of-mind return policy (costs and timelines).

As shared through our conversations on other channels, change-of-mind returns introduce numerous challenges for our operations: order processing and fulfillment costs are already incurred; there is possible invisible damage during repeated back-and-forth transportation, loading, and offloading; as a result, many returned items spend months in our storage and are often not resold at all, yet we considered a 2-7 day replacement as a reasonable balance for both the company and customer, as they would eventually get the right item.

Again, we thank you for your support and hope to bring you a smile once again.

Regards,

extremely good service and customer care

extremely good service for solar and appliances
really reliable, professional staff on all the side (from technical, to the manager, to the customer care)
fast service and really good communication

On top of it, a very good customer care and front office service that is really really rare in Uganda.

UGX 2.5M system that has never worked properly- months of faults and no resolution

(Update 28 February 2026)
I am now updating my original 1★ review to 3★ to reflect the current situation, following their recent efforts to sort out the issue.
After several months of faults, equipment returns, and one inverter replacement, both the inverter and battery were recently tested again and reinstalled. At present, the system appears to be operating normally. There has not yet been a full power outage since reinstallation, so long-term performance under those conditions remains to be confirmed.
During the earlier stages, there were differences in interpretation about the cause of failure, including a later suggestion that “external protections” may have been missing. This had not been formally documented during earlier site visits or when equipment was previously taken in for warranty assessment. Clearer written technical reporting during that period would likely have reduced confusion.
That said, the equipment is currently functioning, and I believe it is fair to reflect that in my rating. I will continue monitoring performance.

(Original)
On 23 July 2025, I bought a Felicity 200Ah LiFePO₄ battery from Kweli.shop for UGX 1,690,000. (Order #45572). When it arrived, I was told it was incompatible with my existing inverter and was advised to also buy an SRNE inverter from them for UGX 850,000 which I did (Order #45574).
From the first week, the system showed charging faults, error alarms, and abnormal battery drain even when there were no power cuts. A technician adjusted settings, but the problems continued.
On 8 August, I was asked to take both the battery and inverter to Kweli’s office for warranty testing. They were returned on 12 August without the issue being fixed; they were again taken back to their office after the faults persisted. Technicians also visited my home, but the problems remained.
After weeks of complaints and photo evidence, Kweli admitted there was a BMS communication failure (Error 58) between the inverter and battery, meaning the two products they sold me could not properly work together.
At this point, I formally requested a refund under warranty due to repeated failed repair attempts. This request was not addressed.
On 25 August, the inverter was replaced with a Felicity model. That replacement inverter then failed in October 2025 and again in January 2026.
After months of technician visits, two warranty returns to their office, and equipment that has never worked correctly from the start, Kweli’s final position in February 2026 was to blame my home electrical installation. My electrical system was installed and has always been maintained by a professional electrician, and my previous inverter had worked perfectly for years before this equipment was installed.
Despite the equipment being under warranty throughout, no lasting solution has been provided.
Very disappointing after-sales support.

Update (16 February 2026):
Kweli has now stated that the failure may be due to the system being installed “without external protections.” This is the first time this has been raised, despite multiple technician visits, two occasions where the equipment was taken to their office, and a full inverter replacement under warranty.

At no point previously was I informed that required protections were missing, nor was any written installation report provided identifying deficiencies. My electrical system was installed and has been maintained by a qualified electrician, and my previous inverter operated for years under the same conditions without issue.

I have requested written clarification specifying exactly which protections were allegedly missing and where this requirement is documented.

Hello David,
We acknowledge receipt of a report from your assistant concerning a failure of the replacement equipment and do sympathise with you about the challenges you are facing. We advised him that your house's electrical wiring should be checked thoroughly as a possible reason for the failure considering that the originally supplied equipment were both replaced with completely new equipment not long ago. We also advised that you prepare for proper installation this time with all the protections in place, as the previous one was connected without any external protections.

We are patiently waiting for feedback about the above in order for us to move forward.
