Don't trust their original estimate of costs! You will end up spending several thousand more in the end. Labrums handled my father's Estate, the whole process including Probate to distribution. The Will was quite straightforward and they knew all the details from the start. The original estimate of costs was £4620 (they later admitted this was too low) I paid another £1000 later on and thought that was it, as their Schedule 2 said it includes the whole process up to Distribution. They ended up taking another £3000 approx out of the Estate, so I think the total fees they've taken are £8788, getting on for double the original estimate! I don't know the exact figure as the Accounts are so complicated. I've asked them twice to confirm the total fees but they haven't answered. There's a whole lot more I could say, for example, they distributed the Estate before issuing the final (third) version of the accounts saying that the beneficiaries had approved it. I hadn't approved it!
A stressful unpleasant experience.

We were time pressured. Our sale & purchase was progressing over summer. I spoke to one of the solicitors and explained that we needed commitment to speed over the summer and to make sure that they were going to be around. The first solicitor I spoke to was honest enough to admit that she was going to be away and instead referred the case to Roxanne Stevenson. Roxanne advised that she would be around over summer and committed to do everything she could to progress our case. Roxanne and team responded to all questions and progressed all actions with speed and accuracy. She was true to her word and I can neither thank nor recommend Roxanne and the team at Labrams enough!

We are glad we went with Labrums, as recommended, since we've been burnt before by sluggish conveyancers who lack attention to detail - Bethany was the opposite.

The only drawback we found was in that, rather than being drip-fed the purchase information throughout the process, we had to wait for Bethany's very thorough report. It was a useful document, but weighty and a lot to chew through in one go!

Generally I felt they were efficient but I was shocked when they sent my bank statement to my son. Also when I was sent contracts to sign they put my old address on the contract which had to be amended.

I found Labrum’s to be diligent, quick to respond and helpful. No complaints.
