This service is extremely valuable!

This service is extremely valuable! I was able to land my first Software Engineer position with their help. The interview prep sessions, resume rebuild, outreaches and technical interview prep with someone that is in the industry gave the help I needed to do well in the interviews I received. I would highly recommend this service if you're wanting to break into the career you are striving for.

Unprofessional & No Customer Care, DO NOT USE THEIR SERVICE

If I could give this horrible company 0 stars I would. I came across their service after loosing my job during the pandemic. Being desperate, I signed an OVERPRICED contract with this company. Some points you should know:
-You pay $199 at the beginning and 3% of your first year's once hired whether they help you or not.
- The resume process was difficult, the writer was focused more on getting keywords and was not educated on the sector. It took multiple emails until I ended up editing it and sent a message “I think this is good” with no further feedback.
- They send out emails to possible leads to network. I could've easily done this myself a million times better than their staff. The outreach emails that were sent out to possible leads were mostly from the wrong office location. For example, there were people that were located in California when I was applying in NYC. Hence, dead leads.
- I was sent three emails from Eldin Bijelic asking me to book a call to join the program, I had already signed up two months prior. Eldin stopped sending emails after I emailed them saying that this was not good since I’ve been a client for months. This shows the lack of organization in this 'company'.
- I did not receive follow-up emails whatsoever or check-ins as far as my progress until February (4 months after my last contact). It was a generic email that was sent 3 more times.

Due to the lack of guidance from Labtuit, I sought guidance elsewhere and found a mentor for FREE. Thanks to her feedback, I had to completely rewrite and redesign my resume in order for it to be aligned with the industry. She helped me with interview questions, cover letter, resume, etc. Within two months, I landed a position.

I wrote to Labtuit because unfortunately I had signed a contract with them and explained to them what a horrible experience it had been and if I could possibly get a discount since it seems absurd to be paying more than $1000 for a terrible/lack of service. I received an email from Alex saying they cannot give any discount but rather 'thanks for the feedback and we can do a complimentary resume rewrite', WHAT?! Thanks, but no.

Overall, avoid this company at all cost. I felt scammed, specially after being nothing but misguided. Also, I find it odd that a 'company' is asking to be paid through Zelle, Venmo, or a bank account but no professional invoice? Again, WHAT?

Run away from them, I cannot say this enough times.

We are disappointed to hear that you did not feel that your experience with our program met your expectations. For this, we apologize. We appreciate any and all feedback regarding our service so we can strive to improve.

Due to the extremely wide array of candidates we work with, all have different needs and experiences, which is why we ask our candidates to communicate extensively with us and express any concerns or areas where extra help is needed. To get the most out of this program, a candidate should utilize all available resources.

We offer 17 different calls for our users (7 structured sessions + 5 mock interviews + 5 check-in calls). Unfortunately, we can see that you only utilized 3 of these calls (Resume Optimization Session and Job Search Strategy 1 & 2). We offered a complimentary resume re-rewrite with a different resume writer, but were only able to do so after you provided feedback, which was several months after the situation. It is important that our candidates engage closely with us so that we can provide immediate assistance. Some candidates require multiple adjustments to their job search, their interview preparation and overall strategy. This becomes impossible for us to do if a candidate disappears for several months.

We apologize that you feel that this experience was sub-par, but out of transparency for other candidates, we feel it is crucial to highlight the importance of communicating and actually utilizing the services that are available to receive value from them. None of the concerns in this review were expressed to us until after payment was due, giving us no opportunity to rectify your concerns.

I was an international student and a 2020 grad

I was an international student and a 2020 Grad - the hardest time for the job market in the recent years. Before I joined Labtuit, I had a hard time interviewing and putting my thoughts into words or building impactful answers. My advisor, Brian, helped me through the process and encouraged me to showcase my skills in the best way. I was lucky enough to land an interview at a tech giant on my own (with just my resume), but I ultimately landed the position with Brian’s help. Labtuit advisors really work with you and help you navigate the entire job search process from resume building, networking, drafting emails/messages to people working in your industry, interviewing, and negotiating. My advice: start as soon as you can, especially if you’re an international student stuck in a bad job market.

Incredible service!

Being out of the job market for a few years, I was stagnating in my current role and had little motivation to find a new opportunity. To make matters worse, I was not confident enough in my ability to apply for positions and start interviewing again. A little less than a year ago, I stumbled upon Labtuit and I do not regret my decision to work with them. Fast forward to today, I recently accepted a new opportunity in California and I will be moving there later this summer. Labtuit and its advisors were instrumental in guiding me through every step of the job search process: from scouting for new opportunities to polishing my resume, sending out introductory notes to key connections and negotiating the final salary package upon receiving an offer. They have clearly mastered the process of job hunting and made it seamless. I’m so glad I came across them! I highly recommend their service and will be a repeat client if I’m back in the job market in the next few years.

Amazing experience!

I had an amazing experience working with Labtuit during my entire job hunting process. Job hunting can be a very harrowing ordeal. However, the advisors at Labtuit does an incredible job by helping job seekers starting with effective resume writing, mock-up interviews, connecting with current employees at the companies where we submit job applications and provide useful insights regarding job offer negotiations. Labtuit’s methods are very effective and the tools that they provide will help any job seeker to be their best selves during the interview process. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking their dream job.
Kudos to the team at Labtuit!

A very strange experience to be honest

A very strange experience to be honest. They initially inundate you with a dizzying array of documents of various types in various formats with little importance paid to consistency of file type or formatting (google docs, pdf's, etc.) to the point where you're totally intimidated and confused. I spent the good part of a weekend answering their exhaustive questionnaires, etc., and never got a response of any kind. I don't know if they ever saw the hours of work I completed or not.

It's very difficult to discern what one is supposed to do next as you move forward through the lengthy process. I never got any kind of prompting and the seemingly loose confederacy of Labtuit people seem to barely know what one another are doing.

I would complete something and then not hear back. I would indicate when I was available, but then they would schedule a call on one of the dates I told them I was not available. The resume writer was nice, but again, I wasn't really sure if we were collaborating or what the deal was. It just wasn't clear to me how that process was supposed to play out and there were lapses in communication because I was waiting for a response from her while the resume writer was waiting for a response from me.

At one point I was given a bunch of links to MORE documents, and then the links were dead like a month later.

I never spoke with one of their industry advisors, never did anything beyond getting a new resume, and I was even contacted by one of their people about signing up, well AFTER I had already done so. Since that strange interaction, I haven't heard from any of "them" in months.

They REALLY need to figure out how to be more efficient. They seem to have multiple personnel involved in the process so they need to use some form of timeline for each client that visually displays what's been completed and what hasn't. I kept getting the impression that a lot of things were falling through the cracks.

In terms of the client's experience, they need to streamline the process, make it linear, and establish well defined goals followed by prompts to continue to whatever is next. There needs to be ONE link that leads to ALL the work. Put it ALL in one place as a simple list which clearly shows what's been completed so the client can go to that one place, click on a descriptive line of text on the list, go complete the work, and continue on down the list.

As it was, I was never sure about hierarchy of the volumes of work I was expected to complete. It seemed to have no order at all.

Hi,
Thanks for sharing your feedback!
- We have never called any user out of the blue. We share with all of our users Calendly links that they may book calls from. This means we only call you at the time that you selected, based on the Calendly booking you made. We have never ever called candidates out of the blue. Our Calendly has been shared with our users since the time we were founded.
- We leave it up to the user to book the industry calls (and other calls) whenever it makes sense to them. This is because some of our users are currently employed, and some aren't. So some want to move at their own pace and book their industry calls when they have an upcoming interview. Other users might want to book all their calls ASAP and we accommodate this, allowing for multiple bookings per day. Furthermore, our current calendar always have availability within 8 hours (business hours).
- We share the type of file based on whether the user will edit it or not. If it is just a video or a read, it is through pdf or a video link. If it is editable, we share it via google sheet or google doc.
- Our advisors do review what the user filled, and this is discussed during Job Search Strategy Session 1. And they collaborate on the editable docs/sheets to support the user.
- We do have everything in one place - currently it is in the User portal that we launched a few months ago. Before that it was in a single google drive and single email that has everything that is needed.
Our current portal does show what has been completed, what still needs to be completed - both for sessions and the various bite-sized content.

We don't really know who you are given your name is "White Slice" so we cannot go back and see what happened with your case in particular.

We are always happy to learn about works well and what doesn't for our users, and we pride ourselves for creating a service that does work well for different types of users. Our program is flexible (versus user has to complete X , Y and Z in a certain number of days) because our users come from various backgrounds - some are senior, some are junior. Some are employed and will only move to a new role if it is a very competitive one, while some are in-between jobs and looking to start asap.

Thanks for sharing the feedback!

Labtuit helped advance my career income and opportunities.

Labtuit was tremendously helpful to me in my recent job search. Labtuit is highly professional, organized, and has a unique insight into the job market. I love working with the advisors who helped me understand what a standout resume looks like and how to present myself better to employers. Labtuit definitely gave me the tools needed to be well-prepared and confident in my search. I was worried that the job market is very competitive during the pandemic and it’d be difficult for me to switch to a new industry, but with Labtuit’s help, I was able to land a Sr Analyst role within a couple months of searching with a Fortune 500 Company. I was even able to get a salary increase with Labtuit’s advice on offer negotiations. Thank you Labtuit team!

Great for Resume polishing and interview preparation

I had been applying for PhD Biotech jobs for about seven months before I joined Labtuit and got very few interview calls during that time. A Labtuit advisor reached out to me on LinkedIn and introduced me to their work. I especially liked the concept that I did not have to pay money upfront before I could get a job as being a graduate student finances are always difficult to manage. Brian, my Labtuit advisor, went through my resume with me and gave me several examples of how to answer behavioral round questions. I would be doing most of the work like preparing draft resume, searching for roles, preparing my answers and Labtuit brought organization to this work. The behavioral mock interview gives a good practice for answering the common interview questions with valuable feedback. I couldn't make use of the technical round preparations, often due to the required timeline but I am positive if I had requested I could schedule a mock technical interview even on short notice. The other important role of Labtuit was in helping me network with industrial professionals. Though these networking calls hardly converted into interview rounds, just reaching out to people in the industry and getting to know their work environment helped me frame my answers well for future interviews. Overall I believe that the resume polishing and interview prep helped me the most and increased the number of interviews I was getting by at least 50% I recommend Labtuit for someone who needs professional feedback for their interview preparation.
