My purchase was dealt with by Team 9. You get what you pay for, I realised the documents would need checking and as a solicitor did it myself. They made a few errors in sending documents, calculating SDLT, but corrected these when raised. Their know-your-client checks were however ridiculous. Buying a family home, they kept on asking for more detail as to where my money came from and what I was spending it on - I can't remember where every penny (down to about £500) came from in the last 4-5 years! Further they ended up asking why currys had deposited £50 (a goodwill payment) and what I had spent about £3 on at a café! Each time you provided documentation, they just waited a few days and asked for more (totalling about 3 months of correspondence). This created more stress and except for a threat to complain, could have upset the entire chain.

Our conveyancing was carried out by team 5 and we couldn’t fault them. We had an issue with our title but the problem was explained well and rectified. Think they are a little under pressure to get matters through because we sometimes struggled to get hold of them.

Very helpful Team 4 couldn’t recommend more. I’m a first time buyer and the process was so quick and easy.

They leaked my email address along with 182 other people’s - ironically in an email soliciting reviews on Google. Well here is my review.

Very poor from a solicitors of all people. Avoid - they clearly do not take data privacy seriously.

Update: thanks to the company for their response below. This is better than their previous response which tried to have my (and others) reviews taken down after flagging as defamatory.

I appreciate mistakes happen, but hope that they are more careful in future.

I received an email today asking me to give feedback based on their service.

Fine, but this included a gross breach of data protection and they copied in 182 other people and email addresses.

As a solicitors you would expect more than this, and I couldn’t even imagine me wanting to use or trust them to keep my personal data safe.

Avoid like the plague

Contacted for a quote years ago, suddenly told I'm opted in to contact and asked for a review... well here it is! Don't harrass people. Also, bcc people as I now have 181 email addresses and they all have mine!

What a joke!

We bought a house, without chain either side, and the work was completed in two and a half months. Good experience overall.

Second sale this year with Lambert Pugh, dealt with start to finish including adding a name to the deeds by Kate Duberley in Team 10. Great service, transaction went really well and the price was excellent. I can totally recommend and will certainly use again without hesitation.

At first I was wary using a firm not located where I live, however I found the process easy and both Susie and Callum were helpful at every step of the transaction. Nothing was too much trouble and after recommending them to a friend I was pleased to hear she received a great service as well. Thank you both for your assistance.

LPL were engaged to handle our sale and purchase. From the outset Team 5 were diligent, helpful and prompt to respond. The purchase was by no means straightforward yet Team 5 handled everything professionally and advised us appropriately where necessary at every step of the way. Recommended.

I was using John W Davies solicitors who suddenly ceased traded mid way through my sale and purchase and left me in a hole. After discussing my new quote with Lambert Pugh I felt confident to use the firm considering what had just happened. Overall they dealt pretty smoothly with the sale and purchase and were very patient dealing with myself and also the sellers estate agent as we were constantly chasing them trying to make up for lost time. Would use again, they were much more efficient compared to a local high street solicitor who I had used before

Honestly can't fault Lambert Pugh. Used them to sell my property. The app you use is easy to navigate and makes the whole process simple.
I had Susie from team 7 deal with my sale and I'm not sure what the rest of their employees are like but if they're %50 as efficient and pro active as Susie you really couldn't go wrong.
I was so impressed, Lambert Pugh are now dealing with the sale of my partners house and dealing with the purchase of our joint new home.

I have had outstanding service. Emails were answered promptly, tel phone calls answered, in the event of me having to leave a voicemail they were auctioned.

Suzie was absolutely brilliant! Despite the incompetence of the buyers solicitors she was like a dog with a bone and got everything sorted.

Sadly my experience with Lambert Pugh was far from good. I was assigned team 9 and the early stages of my purchase were positive. As the transaction proceeded and became a little more complicated, I hit a brick wall, no one seemed to want to pick up the phone, and when I did speak to someone nothing seemed to happen. Both the solicitors for my sale and a third party who I was dealing with remarked at their reluctance to speak on the phone, hiding behind email. Moving is stressful but I felt so strongly I made a formal complaint.

And you know what? Despite a very quick acknowledgment, I had a snippy response when I chased it (I had been given no date for when it would be concluded) and have received absolutely no response since. I have chased it twice, the second one today via the most ridiculous voicemail system they have. I would give this company a miss, there’s enough stress in conveyancing already and they did nothing to help. I’m sure there are some good people there, perhaps I was just unlucky.
