Where do I start? This service is shocking!
We were not kept up to date with any part of the process.
You cannot get hold of them at all -despite calling 4+ times in a day. I have never received a call back despite asking for several both via email and voicemail.
They take a minimum of 4 working days to action or respond to anything (up to 3.5 weeks to raise queries with us on AML checks).
They have absolutely no idea what is going on, asking us to send funds 3 weeks ago despite their being outstanding AML checks and outstanding queries with another solicitor. We still don’t have an exchange date.
They constantly lie about where we are up to (when we finally get through to them) advising it is with another solicitor when it later transpires it is with them and they just haven’t actioned it. (Baring in mind there is no chain either side of us)
When I tried to raise a formal complaint about their service they asked me to send a letter (postage at my cost of course).
I am now being chased by estate agents from both sides of the sale/purchase as they too cannot get through to them to discuss an exchange date.
I cannot believe that this is a service that I am paying for!
Do not use these solicitors!
Great service
As a first-time buyer, and first time dealing with a solicitor, I wasn't really sure what to expect. I was assigned to Team 9. The process of buying my house was a breeze. I didn't have to chase them once and they kept me updated very frequently. The choice of filling out the initial paperwork on the app or via paper copies is great. The entire process took two months, but a couple of weeks were spent going back and forth with the seller about the contents of the property. Definitely recommend!
I would give 0 stars if I could
I was assigned to Team 5. Where do I start?
The whole process took over 4 1/2 months to complete from accepted house offer. Granted the mortgage took a while to be approved, however the requested due diligence (searches, paperwork etc) that could have been done during this stage was not carried out. On top of that, I was constantly having to chase them to carry out tasks; they would not advise directly when they encountered a problem.
Their phone service is terrible, they just direct you to one of their HR staff and not anyone who is actually working on your case.
They would lose paperwork so I would be sending repeats of paperwork.
They appear to have very little experience on fine-details of conveyancing. A deed of trust with a time frame included took almost a month to complete; I've been informed elsewhere that such matters are very common and easy to include.
They have an extremely outdated policy of requiring "wet" signatures for every single document, requiring posting of any form to them. This even applied to forms from other parties such as the bank, who specifically requested forms to be sent online! Hence unnecessary delays.
Then to top it all off, their AML department contacted one of my giftors the day before the expected completion date saying they were missing a key piece of information, at 4 o'clock just before their phone lines closed. You would think they would contact me personally to tell me the move potentially couldn't go through the next day! Not to mention the stress involved in correcting (bearing in mind the removal team had already been paid at this point!).
In short, extremely unprofessional. The cost saving with using a more expensive solicitor was more than offset by the stress and expense of paying rent for far longer than necessary. Avoid them at all costs.
Excellent as always
This is the third time I have used Lambert and Pugh and the second time I have been assigned to Team 7. Team 7, led by the excellent Susie Dove, are efficient, conscientious, helpful and very good value for money! I will definitely be using them again.
Jonty.
GO ELSEWHERE FOR BETTER, FASTER AND MORE PROFESSIONAL SERVICE!
Very disappointing service-despite assurances that my very straightforward purchase would be dealt with promptly, I was assigned to a team with a 48 hour turnaround for responding to emails. Extremely slow progress, and despite confirmation from my team that everything was going well and we would be exchanging contracts shortly, it transpired that all queries had not in fact been dealt with and more delays were ahead. At this point after many delays already the vendor pulled the plug out of frustration, and the sale collapsed.
I made a complaint to the firm, since their actions/ lack of action had directly led to the sale falling through, but I received short shift, and no compensation for my time and lost money has been forthcoming. I have since made a purchase at auction, using a recommended conveyancing solicitor, which has all gone without a hitch in a very short time frame.
AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE: SLOW, INCOMPETENT AND WILL NOT KEEP THEIR PROMISES
Allocated to team 4
Allocated to team 4, was hard work to be honest, I had to constantly chase, was never called with any updates nor called back when I was promised. And each stage of this process was just left in a pile until I chased, I obviously wasn’t an important client therefore this caused a lot of stress when purchasing my first home. Trying to get through the lady that answered the phone majority of the time was HARD WORK and she was very frustrating like talking to a robot, shame the quality of her customer service wasn't worth the money paid . (Although there was another lady that sometimes answered and she was brilliant and helped me every-time I think her name was hannah but I may be wrong)
The quote given was irrelevant as they kept Adding on, would of ended up cheaper to go with a local company that I could of gone into the office. Only good thing was the app, and they managed to complete on the day I wanted but ONLY because I constantly pushed and pushed. Had it of been left to them I’d never had completed.
The worst part was that when the purchase completed the solicitor didn’t even call me and to this day still hasn’t, it was the kind SELLER of the property that called me to advise the sale had completed.
As it’s my first purchase maybe I was expecting to much, But for £1200 I expect top quality service, and to at least be called when the house completed. Clearly my exceptions were too high. Personally wouldn’t recommend and in future I will go with a local solicitors for piece of mind.
First time buyer, first time success
First time buyer and found that lambert pugh were cheapest quote I had when comparing to other firms, they were great at communicating and they app was very easy to use. They kept me up to date through out the process and I would highly recommend to any one who needs they service. Will definitely use again

Lambert Pugh were very helpful and thorough.
Good service at an affordable rate. They did honour their no completion no fee guarantee which is very helpful if things go to plan. Communications were a bit slow at times but they always came back on every query. I would recommend their service to others
I sold my house through the amazing Team 7
I sold my house through Team 7. Susie and her team were amazing through the whole process. I had excellent communication from her throughout, which is key. The app is fantastic and is a great help. You can add all documents in a stress free way and watch your sale go through. The only stress with my house sale was the buyers solicitors but again susie and her team dealt with all issues amazingly. Thank you for all your help, I can now go and make my dreams come true. Thanks Susie.
Team 9 were great
We were assigned team 9 who dealt with the purchase of our first home professionally. Queries were dealt with in a timely manner, and you need to remember that it's best to let the team just get on with it! Remain patient let LP do what they need to do. Thanks again to Louise and everyone on team 9.

Fantastic service throughout our purchase. They were on top of all the issues, kept us in touch with everything that was going on and were really easy to get hold of when we needed them. Would absolutely recommend and use again.
Great service again
I guess everyone has different experiences, but mine was first class. I was allocated Team 7 and Susie Dove was first class. She was prompt at responding to emails, clear in her advice and unflappable. Mine was a slightly complicated sale with an unexpected chain and our buyer's solicitor was very uncommunicative but I was reassured by Susie's calm efficiency. I have used Lambert Pugh on 3 occasions now with different people and I have always found the service brilliant. Thank you
Extremely poor service
I am just doing a straight forward sale only. My buyer is ready to exchange and there was minimal enquiries. This company do not respond to emails, they do not answer the phone and they have lost important documents that will cost me money to replace. Due to their lack of response I will be incurring significant additional costs. All this whilst grieving the loss of a loved one! Just not acceptable
Terribly Slow
Quick to respond to my emails. Terrible at responding to the other sides solicotors.
I’m using Lamber Pugh for sale & purchase, both of the other parties solicitors are asking me to chase Lambert Pugh as they are waiting to hear from them.
I would not recommend.
Lambert Pugh sent documents to my buyers solicitor with a cover letter of enclosures, 3 of the documents were missing, a month after being informed of the missing documents the buyers solicitor still hasn’t received them.
The app is only useful for the initial information I had to send relating to the sale of my house, fixtures & fittings, EPC etc. It doesn’t track anything after that so you are no the wiser what’s happening or where on the process things are.
Not sold a house in 20 years.Glad I chose Lambert Pugh!
This is the first time in 20 years that I have sold a house and Lambert Pugh made the process very straightforward. Excellent and speedy communications and a calming influence when we were getting close to the finish line!
Susie Dove and her colleagues provided an excellent and professional service and I was glad I chose them to deal with the sale of my property. I would gladly recommend Susie and the firm to any prospective sellers.
DO NOT USE TEAM 4
DO NOT USE TEAM 4!
My experience with Lambert Pugh LLP was positive at first, their new business team are efficient, helpful and responsive and did a great job at getting my account set up etc.
However, I am sad to say that my experience with them thereafter just got worse and worse.
My estate agent and that of the vendors of the property I am buying repeatedly complain to me about how they can never get through to anyone and their out of office response still refers to lockdown and Covid - ridiculous and it looks unprofessional. I used to work for a top-rated law firm and I can say with certainty that if we'd done anything like this we'd have been strung up for it and sacked immediately.
I have had to chase up for calls, responses etc EVERY SINGLE WEEK - not once has anyone called me to update me or sent an email to me to respond to my queries without me having to chase. I've had to chase up on several occasions as well.
Information that I submitted on my sale was lost and not added to the file so it had to be re-sent including information sent to the company from the grounds maintenance firm in the development where I currently live. Again, appalling customer service and totally unprofessional. Rather than Team 4 do anything to attempt to retrieve this documentation, I've had to chase it up! This is really unacceptable.
I've also had to chase my mortgage lender to see if they have sent paperwork through and when I find they have I am yet again having to chase.
What am I actually paying for?
There is no sense of urgency or even courtesy to acknowledge the stress / challenges this situation is causing me as a client. I've left messages asking to speak to someone more senior - again no response.
I am now trying to chase up whether or not we can complete next week and it's ridiculous. This company is a joke and this information is being submitted to their complaints department.

Team 9 were excellent from the beginning.
Got a quote online and they were the fairest with everything as is. As first time buyers we didn't have a clue what we were doing and LP made it very easy. Everything is done securely via their app and any queries were dealt with promptly.
Had no issues with our purchase, all surveys and queries were raised and we were also advised if there were any additional costs.
Definitely recommend LP and Team 9
Thank you once again
Helpful, responsive and helpful efficient
This is the third time that I have used Lambert Pugh for a house purchase/sale and again they facilitated a smooth transaction. Susie and Team 7 were brilliant - very helpful, responsive and efficient - for a market-beating fee
Thankyou Team 7!
I would just like to thank all of team 7, especially Susie Dove for all her hard work to make our sale so easy and for it to be as smooth as possible, Susie was always happy to help and answered all my queries. I have used Lambert Pugh Solicitors twice now on separate occasions and I would really recommend this company! Thankyou all again!:)
