Landrins Bil KIA in Lund has not competent personal, who are not able to do the simple job and only want your money

Hi, I am the owner of Kia Optima from 2020, I live in Staffanstorp, so the closest Kia service center to me is Landrins Bil in Lund.
Starting from August 13, 2024 I am trying to fix the problem With my Kia Optima head lights. In my car this light is very weak, so it is very risky to drive the car during the dark time. In August 2024 I left my car to Landrins Bil in Lund twice with this problem.
After the first "tuning", the head lights started looking at the sky instead of the road, after the second “tuning” head lights became very weak and almost useless.
During dark winter times this problem became critical, so I came once again to Landrins Bil in Lund asking to fix this problem. I also found a Kia UK forum, where Kia Optima users are complaining about exactly same issues and describe the solution how to fix it. This forum may be found be using key words "2019 optima sport wagon head lights".

According to the people who fixed the issue there, the problem is the wrong default setting for head light lamps. In order to fix it it is enough just to connect Kia to computer and change lights setting from ”4bulb” to ”Biled”.
I printed out the forum material to Kia service center personal in Lund. They promised to check if that is covered by 7 Years Kia warranty warranty or not. That was January 3rd, 2025.

Four weeks passed after their promise. I called several times during this time to Kia Landstings Bil in Lund and they promised again and again to book me the time for this simple check. First the lady who took the case was sick,then she was on some course, then I got a promise that they will ”call me tomorrow”, but no one did.
When I understood that calling does not work, I came myself and asked “what is going on”?
Finally after that I got a time for this check for January 31, 2025 at 7:30.

When I came, I discovered that this service center still has not checked if my request for checking the setyting is a warranty case or not, and wanted me to pay 2000 SEK for this check!

All this is unacceptable. I drive s modern expensive Kia Optima car for half a year during dark time, risking my life every day!
Landrins Bil personal was not able to fix the problem after 2 attempts!
They were not able to find out if checking of a setting parameter about non working head light is a warranty case or not for 1 month!
And finally when I did their job and found them a solution to this problem, they wanted to take 2000 from me!
Shame on KIA that they release cars with wrong set head lights! Shame on the completely incompetent personal of Landrins Bil in Lund, who can not perform a simple tuning and only want your money.

I can see that Landrins Bil read this review in the end of May 2025, 4 months after publication...No big surprise for me. Just proves once again that they dont care about their customer opinion.

I need to tell the end of this story.

I left my car to the company Accustor in Staffanstorp, who are professionally working with car lights. They told me that almost all modern KIA cars have problems with head lights and the only working solution is installation of extra ramp lights.
Now I have them of my both KIA Optimas from 2020.
Hard to believe that such car manufacturer as KIA made such a severe mistake and still did not call back their cars to fix it.
And shame again on Landrins Bil in Lund, who definitely knows about the problem, but pretend that they are not aware of it and take money from car owners who suffer from this problem.

Always more expensive

Been a costumer at that facility for a long time, way before it was Landrins Bil.

For the past 3 years we have had mixed experiences with Landrins Bil i Lund, either their service prices are several thousands SEK more expensive than others, or they do not answer your mail at all.

This year was no different, I had to get the flexdiscs inspected, they wanted 2000 SEK, just to put the car on the lift, look, and take it down.

Other shops wanted 950 SEK for the same job, when I told them this I got no response, on top of their several thousand SEK more expense for a change of the discs.

Before the would always come back and match the prices if I had a quote from another workshop, now they don't care, even their way to communicate with people could be way improved...

Terrible

Terrible communication, it took 6 weeks for them to prepare a car for handover (after paying for it) and they didn´t tell me the car had a repaired door (repaired very poorly so its color was different to the rest of the car).
