I won't bore you with all the details

I won't bore you with all the details, but I shall not be using this company again. They are hopeless and take weeks to come back to a very disappointed customer. I've given up and ordered some items from Cox & co instead. Sorry La Redoute I'm La Redoubting your company!!

Terrible service

Ordered quite an expensive toaster which was damaged/dented on arrival. Told I could not have a replacement.
Another item I was waiting for never arrived but I recieved someone elses order with their details. I have still been charged for these items!
On hold to customer service for 45 minutes.
They asked me to review the service but declined to post both reviews!
Dont buy from La Redoute.

It’s not rocket science!

I first ordered from la redoute in 1990 when it was still a catalogue company. My experience with them over the years has been consistent: their delivery is always slow, which was fine back in 1990, but is no longer in line with what customer expect in 2021. The slow delivery only really goes for items that are in stock. For out of stock items a whole other experience unfolds: 1) finding out that items are out of stock is like a secret mission you have to uncover, after weeks, sometimes up to a month of chasing you will eventually find out an item is or was out of stock (in most cases the website will still say in stock). It has happened on at least 5 separate occasions in recent years that La Redoute was unable to fulfil an order because of stock issues and I would only find out because it would say “order cancelled” on my account page, without so much as an email acknowledging this or an apology. 2) Which brings me to point: no information is volunteered pro-actively. All comms are in response to queries. The comms that is automated is hit and miss and does not contain any meaningful information 3) response times are shocking, 3 days or more for email enquiries, and waiting times up to an hour for telephone support are the norm. 4) refunds ALWAYS have to be chased, and always take a lot longer than is industry standards.
I do still shop at la redoute on occasion. But I always have to take a deep breath when I order and ask myself if I really want to buy whatever is in my basket, whether I am ok to be patient and accept it will take ages, and that if anything goes wrong it will go spectacularly wrong…..increasingly I find myself looking for (and finding) the same or similar products. with other online retailers who offer next day delivery, a policy of communicating every step of the order/delivery cycle, sharing tracking details as soon as the order is processed, fabulous response times to queries, clear stock information and hassle-free fast refunds.

Sort yourself out La Redoute!

Invest in decent supply chain monitoring tech so you can offer actual real-time information to your customers and manage their expectations and secondly invest in some decent customer comms tech to proactively and consistently inform your customers on the progress of their order. Oh, and include tracking numbers for shipping!!!!!

First time ordering - refund error - now chasing my money

First time ordering howewares. Havent used compnay for over ten years. Wish I had read reviews as some reason thought they had a good reputation. Ordered 2 items, returned both. Refunded for one. I am now owed over £50 and chasing this is a bad experience. No email or phone service that is worth mentioning so resorting to reviews and Twitter :(

Appalling service and not honest with customers

I ordered the same article (Malu Bed head) for 2 times. I ordered in August and eventually they cancel my order at 1 week from delivery. They still displayed the article on their online shop so, I ordered it again expecting to be more lucky but no, they cancelled it again. I think it is an appalling service , still not honest with the customers. If they are struggling to get an article they have to delete it from the online shop. Full stop. So, so disappointing. Not surprised they have souch a low rating. Bleah.

Takes forever to deliver

I won't be ordering from la redoute again they take far to long to deliver goods..still no mention of delivery after a week..better get your act together la redoute..most companies deliver within days or even next day

Package does not arrive and no info

Ordered last month, was supposed to be delivered in a week. Delivery was cancelled and no further info. Have tried contacting them in every way, they just respond in standard responses that really have no answer in them. Worst thing they said is that i should've chosen the comfort delivery that was more expensive... Like you don't deserve to get your furniture if you choose the cheaper delivery.
Very disrespectful to get these answers. Horrible costumer service

I would not use the company for credit…

I would not use the company for credit purchases. I fall into financial diffculties during the pandemic, and explained of my mental health I asked if there was any help avalible they told me there was with a doctors letter that they could accept a lower amount for a short period of time or pass it to there 'in house' debt collectors wow, barclays dont even have one of those which shows how seriouse they are about collecting there dues, as an example i contacted 6 creditors 5 put my account on hold and all accepted a reduced payment which im not paying yet but not la redoute they explained unless i paid the over due payments it would be passed on to there in house debt collector, after around 28 emails back and forth with over 3 months CS kept changing there mind and some never even had a clue about any of this so it just made it all pointless talking to them, contacted complaints same story, after paying over dues of over 100 pound and skipping many meals to pay it they decided that they may be able to accept a reduced payment or dryods debt collectors and a mark on your credit file so ive opted to just keep paying it as if u missed a payment with a less ethical debt collectors which they all are, you know they are banging on your door every day. I hope people read this and do not use them for credit purchases please dont as if u fall behind u have a ruthless company to deal with. They have left me with a lot of anxiety and stress worsening my mental health to the point i dread opening any letter all email and its only this company that has done that.

I wanted to write an update on La…

I wanted to write an update on La Redoute as I recently purchased a rug from their UK site.
I am really happy with the rug, it's lovely quality and the price was acceptable.
My problem is that I had to order via the UK and send it to a virtual address and then pay duties.
I live in Ireland and we are part of the EU, so I say, come on! La Redoute, sort out your delivery service to include your Irish customers and don't lump us in with the UK and make us victims of Brexit!

Non-existent customer service

Very disappointing customer service. I returned a pair of shoes that were too big. Inadvertently I had left my £500 orthotic insoles in the shoes. I phoned and emailed them within 24 hours of posting, so before they were received back in the warehouse.

The response was "we get thousands of returns". I was prepared to pay to have them returned to me.
They can match the returned shoes with my account why on earth couldn't they put a notice on there to look out for them?

Probably just thrown away.

My mistake (in the middle of a very stressful house move) and an expensive one. But where is the customer care???

Would not recommend and will not be using again

Not had a very positive experience with La Redoute recently. Expecting my second child and as a gift my family purchased a new pram for us from La Redoute, the first thing to go wrong was the fact we were delivered some strangers order instead of our own, phoned the company and yes they would take it back but we would have to re-order the pram we had originally purchased, so we did. This pram then arrived and it was the correct pram thankfully. Now the downside, we were told we would be refunded the first order of the original pram. I am still phoning and chasing to get this refund and getting no where. Will shortly be speaking to card company and having them pursue my refund because no one at La Redoute can tell me if or when I will receive my refund. As beautiful as the new pram is I didn't expect to be paying double for it and will not be using this company again.

This is the worst shopping experience I…

This is the worst shopping experience I have ever made. I ordered a curtain but received the wrong item. Several attempts to contact the support by email went unanswered. Finally, via Facebook chat, I was asked to return the item via the returns portal. However, only the curtain was refunded, but not the shipping costs. So I am supposed to pay the shipping costs of EUR 4.99 for the seller's mistake? Furthermore, it is a no-go that the correct item has to be ordered again, an exchange is not offered. This is particularly annoying because the price has increased by 40% since the actual purchase!!! The difference is supposed to be refunded according to the chat staff, but I don't believe in that any more after the experiences I've had.

Terrible customer care with US customers

This French company does not deserve to do any business in the US because of their terrible customer service.
Here, most of the retailers are willing to satisfy customers to receive their continued business. When a problem occurs, US companies do refund or replace defective items for their customers no charge ie: Costco, Bed Bath and Beyond, etc.
Dealing with La Redoute USA is a truly different and terrible experience ….. I placed two orders within a few days totaling over $350 …. received my items two weeks later and found that a pair of "made in France" shoes did not fit my 37 French size.
Having been born in France and lived there for several decades I know my French foot size and have purchased many pairs of shoes over the years!
The espadrilles I received are not a real 37 French size. They are a 36 size short and narrow.
When I ordered, I read their policy and know they do not accept exchanges from the USA (Question is: why do they try to do business here?)
Customers are supposed to send back items in France or UK and pay for the shipping.
I would accept their policy if I did order a wrong size or color, but I did not. Those espadrilles do not fit a 37 french size foot!

Exchanges by email with a certain Melissa, supposedly being a customer service representative, were terrible. No help was given at all and she was certainly rude. She did not seem to care that I ordered over $350 of items within a week as a new customer! She prefers loosing my business forever over a pair of shoes that cost $29 …. This arrogant person asked me to take photos of my feet + shoes next to + a stick showing the size!!!!

I do not know of any US company that would make this ridiculous request thereby loosing customers …. La Redoute does!!!

I would add that except for the summer fabric shoes made is France: the tablecloth + napkins, bra, panty, shirt and sweater were all made in China (designed in France!). Far from being top quality …. after a few washings, they will fade and shrink.

Be aware of this company that does not care about its' customers at all!

I just wanted to put a nice review for LaRedoute.nl.
I have ordered few times already (both fashion and furniture) and I have always received the correct items in a very short time, and all the things were looking exactly like in the pictures. I was afraid to buy on LaRedoute after seeing all the bad reviews, but I had always an excellent experience, also with the customer service. I had to return an item as I ordered a size to big and the whatsapp service was indeed very helpful. I got the refund in less that 2 weeks as expected.
From my experience, I can recommend.

I’m waiting for a desk to work from…

I’m waiting for a desk to work from home that is ‘in stock’ but there is a delay with my order. In this day and age this is criminal and the company cannot last long working like this. Bear in mind this is a £350 item and a £9 delivery charge on top I think it is scandalous. If I ring them they know no more and it costs to call them. They are miles behind the times. 2 weeks for an in stock item to be told further delays. I strongly urge you resist and go to somewhere that will deliver the promise.

Outdated processing systems. Long delivery

Ordering process was simple enough but only after completion does it advise that the turn around time for delivery is 14 working days. And you're being charged standard delivery charge for this! In todays world, no way should you be paying that delivery payment for a 14 working day turn around. Its very sneaky that they dont divulge that information prior to completion!

I tried calling their customer services to cancel (an 0300 number) , so normal call centre line - its engaged! That to me indicates they just aren't answering calls, as 0300 numbers aren't picked up by a solo call handler.

So, next stage is I email them via Contact Page - up to 4 days response time. Utterly useless.

I will never order from here again and will be advising everyone I know to steer clear.

sad day i ordered a garden table…

sad day i ordered a collapsible table for the garden which looked lovely and was expensive. it did arrive but the instructions were extremely poor so i was unable to work out if this was collapsible or not before removing from the box and not being able to return it. it was also no longer on the website to check the specifications so i phoned the number at 7p per minute they didn't know either so they said they would send an email to the products team they replied to me saying i should be able to see in the box which i cant tell so no further on now just hopeless!!! trying to return but cos its so heavy thats really difficult too. rubbish how do they sell anything. wont be buying from them again
