Having worn thick glasses for many years I decided to take the plunge and have an assessment for laser eye treatment. The assessment was incredibly thorough - all options were discussed and Mr Anderson spent a long time helping me decide what would be best for me. I chose the SMILE procedure and an appointment was fixed for two weeks after the initial assessment. Although i was quite nervous on the day all of the staff were brilliant. The laser treatment itself took less than 30 seconds per eye - the whole procedure was over in 15 minutes and I could see!!! I experienced absolutely no pain during the treatment and only a very slight discomfort and slightly misty vision afterwards - all remedied by the eyedrops provided. I returned the next day for a check. Even after one day i had 20 20 vision and I was able to drive myself home. I returned 10 days later for a follow up check - vision perfect and no problems at all. Its like magic for one as short sighted as i had been! I should have done this years ago, and would recommend both the treatment and the amazing team who treated me.... i can't thank them all enough.

Bacterial contamination did cause some obscuration in the right eye but this was very quickly removed by laser treatment. The treatment is short and absolutely pain free.
A patient will hear a few clicks from the equipment. A few eye drops are applied and it is over. He or she will have clear vision within a very short period.

For years I'd been curious about laser eye surgery and I finally plucked up the courage to have a consultation with Mr Anderson last year. Very shortly after, I booked the SMILE procedure in December 2019. Mr Anderson gave me a detailed explanation of the procedure at the initial consultation, so I had a really good idea of what to expect on the day. The surgery itself was quick and completely pain free, and the entire team were so friendly and calming throughout. I felt completely at ease in Mr Anderson's care and would highly recommend him and his team to anyone considering laser eye surgery. The aftercare has been excellent. My only regret is not having it done sooner!

I received laser treatment from David Anderson after I injured my left eye, a badly scratched cornea. The procedure was dealt with very efficiently with an excellent outcome. In spite of being nervous I found the treatment completely painless and would highly recommend David Anderson.

It has been an absolute joy to be one of David Anderson's patients. He has performed 3 procedures on my eye that have all been beyond my expectations. He has reassured me throughout the whole process and I would highly recommend him.

I had the advanced surface ablation (ASA) treatment with Anderson Eye Care in November 2019. After enquiring almost a year prior, I decided in October 2019 to take the plunge. From the very outset, I found the information provided by Mr Anderson and his colleagues, of the highest standard, yet entirely understandable. The initial talk I attended gave me all the detail and reassurance I needed to make my decision to go ahead with the procedure - it was a great opportunity to be able to ask questions, understand what a laser procedure involves and air any reservations I had. Once I had decided to go ahead with the procedure, I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly I was able to proceed. Within a matter of days, I was booked in for a consultation and within the space of a few weeks, was booked in for the procedure.

The second phase consultation was far more detailed than I ever could have imagined, with every aspect of my eyes and condition being assessed to ensure the correct type of laser was selected. This was incredibly reassuring and I felt as though great care and attention was taken. Although the decided laser procedure was changed in the lead up to my surgery, which initially caused some uncertainty, I felt as though Mr Anderson gave a detailed and thorough explanation as to why, which again put me at ease.

The service received on the day of treatment surpassed what I could have expected. The whole process, was quick, calm and really very easy. The staff at the Nuffield hospital were great and ensured I was comfortable, relaxed and informed, whilst Mr Anderson took the time to again explain the procedure to me, including exactly what to expect, before I went in. The surgery itself was nowhere near as intimidating as I expected, with the whole team putting me at ease throughout and in total only being in the laser room for around 30 minutes. Once finished, I was escorted back to my room, where I could stay as long as I felt necessary, however I was happy to find I could go home within the hour.

The ASA procedure is known to cause some discomfort after the event which was initially a little alarming. However, Mr Anderson and his team were brilliant in helping me through this, making themselves available for appointments and phone calls as often as I felt necessary as well as providing a detailed aftercare plan for me to follow. This support has continued throughout my recovery and despite my eyes and eyesight now fully healed, I am still able to visit and speak with Mr Anderson to ask questions and have general checkups, which I find both very useful and a great support.

Overall, I have had a great experience with both Anderson Eye Care and the Nuffield hospital and would highly recommend their service.

I had the LASIK laser treatment in both eyes in 2019, and the results were really excellent. After 35 years of short sightedness I now have better than 2020 vision. David and his team were all very professional and I would definitely recommend them.

I am 2 weeks down the line from having LASIK under the care of Mr Anderson and his team and I couldn't be happier.

I was a +5.00 prior to this and was hating wearing contact lenses and being so dependent on glasses so went to see Mr Anderson for a consultation.

I was quite apprehensive and nervous about the whole thing but David was incredibly thorough, honest and reassuring and he managed my expectations throughout including what to expect during the procedure. I asked him a lot of questions to help make my decisions and he answered all them thoroughly and gave me time and attention. I've been a nurse in the NHS for over 20 years and can spot a credible and professional practitioner when I meet one and he is certainly that, as indeed are the team that work alongside him during the treatment.

The results have been phenomenal. Only the day after the surgery , my vision was crystal clear and I felt great. I was prepared that I may need reading glasses afterwards but at the moment I don't need anything at all. Reading and focusing just feels effortless and the visual quality is amazing and so much better than before. It honestly feels like my eyes have been de-aged!

This was absolutely the right decision for me and it feels life-changing. I would highly recommend Anderson Eye Care if you are considering having treatment as you will get honest advice and well taken care of.

Cataract Surgery- I was extremely short sighted in my left eye, -10.5 which still did not give me driving distance sight. I had to rely on my right eye.After various consultations with David Anderson I opted for lens replacement (cataract surgery), I had the start of a cataract. As I had a problem previously with local anaesthetic I opted for a general. Everything went exceptionally well and I cannot believe the result. I have great sight in my left eye, even better than I had hoped for.

I have recently had cataract surgery on both eyes by Aris and was delighted with the result and the professionalism of my consultant who is a consummate communicator and surgeon, much appreciated by myself as a retired retired veterinary surgeon.

About 15 years ago I had laser eye surgery to correct my short sight . It was marvellous but over the past couple of years my eyes have aged ( I’m now 53) and I found myself abit short sighted and abit long sighted. I tried varifical glasses and lenses but didn’t like them so started needing 2 sets of glasses .. one of getting around and driving and one for reading.

I went to see Mr Anderson and after a detailed consultation we agreed to treat my dominant eye. The result is I have better than 20:20 Vision for distance although I still need glasses for reading. However this was explained to me before the op.

I can now drive , walk. Cycle and enjoy sceanary without the burden Of glasses which is great.

The op itself is quick and painless . Afterwards there’s an array of drops to aid recovery and for pain relieve . My eyes were quite sore and sensitive for a few days but in no time at all it was over . I would highly recommend it.

Having suffered from glaucoma for a number of years, which was no longer being controlled by drops, and after having had SLT fully explained to me by David Anderson, I decided to go ahead with this treatment. This proved to be a painless procedure which probably took in the region of 15/20 minutes. Everything was explained as it was happening so I knew exactly what to expect. The whole team were extremely professional and caring. I would have no hesitation in recommending both SLT and the Laser Vision Eye Centre. And the pressures in both eyes dropped.

Presbyond blended vision surgery

I am a 62 year old who needed to wear glasses / contacts for reading and distance vision.

I have recently had LASIK surgery to both eyes after decades of wearing glasses and contact lenses I am able to see without either.
The sense of freedom is immense - no more finding my glasses - usually on top of my head - or remembering to take out contacts at night.

I had a very detailed consultation with Mr Anderson, where all the options that were suitable for me were explained - including carrying on with glasses / contacts - very un pressured and professional.

I decided on Presbyond laser blended vision treatment which would focus my dominant right eye for distance and my left for near sight. I was a little apprehensive about this as I had tried varifocal contacts which tried to do the same thing - but I found the resulting blend was unsatisfactory and reverted to single vision contacts.

The surgery itself was painless and all I was asked to do was stay still and focus on a light - in all it took around 20 minutes from start to finish.

Following the procedure there was some discomfort initially - akin to having some grit in your eyes - but Annie had explained the post operative regimen prior to the surgery and a few drops of the painkiller soon alleviated this.

For the first few hours I rested, the discomfort soon passed and it was just a case of applying the drops following the chart supplied. On waking the next morning I could see remarkably well.

Within 48 hours of the surgery I could see well enough to read and I had reasonable distance vision. Over the next 2 weeks I became aware that my distance vision was improving as I got more used to the blending.

It is now around 3 weeks since surgery and I have 20/20 vision and my sight is still improving - a fantastic result.

There have been no downsides - as long as I use the eye drops around 4 times a day my eyes are not dry - as I work intensively on computer screens this was a concern prior to the surgery.

I would recommend Anderson Eye Care without hesitation. Mr Anderson and his team are professional and personable, they guided me both pre and post procedure.

Leaving the contacts and glasses in the drawer is a great feeling.

Anderson eye care were brilliant! Mr Anderson and all the staff were very friendly and put you at ease. The laser surgery itself was not as bad as I thought it would be. I was in the operating theatre for 30 minutes. There was a bit of discomfort after, but after a couple of hours I was fine. All in all I would recommend anyone thinking about getting laser surgery done to definitely go ahead with it.

I recently has LASIK performed by Mr Anderson.

Having been initially keen but slightly nervous at the whole procedure, Mr Anderson took the time to fully test me and then explain exactly how this procedure is carried out and how it works - this really helped me feel at ease knowing I'd be in the hands of someone like David.

Having had the procedure carried out in Southampton after initial consultation and testing in Jersey I can say that the process is quick, painless and you are talked to during the whole thing, being told what is happening and why and how you may feel, the team were incredibly professional and the whole process was easy for me and with only minor discomfort following the procedure as is to be expected.

After care has also been very impressive and being a worrier I did follow up with various questions and concerns all of which were answered almost immediately.

I would and will be recommending Laser Vision Eye Centre and Mr Anderson to anyone wishing to have corrective eye surgery, it's only been 6 weeks since I have done it and it has already been life changing.

I chose to have a minor laser procedure carried out by David Anderson at the

I had cataract operations carried out by David Anderson several years ago and
although I live in Cardiff I would always trust David on any procedure that involves
treatment on my eyes. He has a very pleasant and reassuring manner.
I also found the nurses and staff very helpful and efficient.

I visited Mr Anderson about my short sightedness issue but I also needed to keep my near vision sight good for my work as an Aviation Inspector.

After consultation with Mr Anderson he explained what process he thought would help me achieve this and decided the best treatment was to correct just one eye.

The operation was painless and Mr Anderson talks you through exactly what he is going to do and what is happening during the procedure.

I can now once again see clearly at distance and dont need glasses to drive and my close vision is still good.

I recently underwent LASIK Presbyond surgery at the Wessex Nuffield Hospital. The surgery was performed by David Anderson and Aris Konstantopoulos and their incredible colleagues.

I am so pleased I chose David and his team to carry out the procedure as the attention to detail both before, during and after surgery has been exceptional.

Look no further 👀 this is the A Team! I can now write this review without the need for glasses.

I would (and have already) recommended Anderson Eye Care to friends and anyone considering laser treatment in the future.
