Almost wasted 20 minutes but found a way round their hook you in scam..,

Wasted 20 minutes adding all info for the "free" advertised service, then they demanded payment at the end, even for the trail (which is bound to be a nightmare to cancel). So, screen grabbed all the preview content and pushed it through an online free OCR system, spent 30 minutes adjusting results in word and voila!!!, all sorted - Lawdepot, dont false advertise a free service, make it more affordable, and I would have considered using you, instead I found a work around to your timewasting hook scam :-)

Letter advertised as free was not free.
Offered a free template for a letter to allow my wife to leave the country with our daughter. Let me spend 20 minutes entering details to the template. Then demanded payment to generate the letter or sign up for 33 pounds per month.

Waste of time

Great Experience - Recomended

I feel I had to write a review about the Law Depot after seeing all the bad reviews they have recieved. I signed up for the 1 week free trial and in this time I was able to generate the documents I needed - they looked extremely professional and I am very happy with the outcome. These documents normally would cost £100's to produce and I got them for free. It was very easy to cancel the free trial so in the end I did not pay anything. I would not hesitate to sign up to thier services again and pay - their rates are really reasonable and will not break the bank.

Very Fair Service - why all the negative reviews?

Used this service to create a Deed of Separation from my husband. Very easy to do and I have access to it should anything need changing and they give you a check list on what to do next. I opted to pay a one off fee of £43, rather than the free trial or subscription and feel this is extremely good value for money. Quick, did the job and more reliable than ChatGPT!

Typical legal firm

Typical legal firm. Offers 'free' document writing service but after filling in the form for 15 minutes it only then becomes evident that you have to give your credit card details and then cancel the agreement you have to enter into. It's sharp practice like this that gets the legal profession it's (justifed) bad reputation. Bastards.

Great site

Great site, use me free trial, wrote up a will and testament, then cancelled the trial, confirmation of cancellation sent straightaway. Very easy to cancel. Lots of bad reviews, but it looks like people didn't read the information sent to them on the confirmation email.

Filled in a form for a will on free…

Filled in a form for a will on free trial. There was a payment request so it was not free. Opted for a one off payment but received an error during the process. Hoping the money didn't go through as didn't receive a notification or the will

Undeserved negative reviews

I have just recommended this company to a friend but was subsequently disappointed to read so many negative reviews. I used them 8 yrs ago after they were recommended to me by a well known high street bank's customer services adviser who had used them herself. I was able to draw up a bespoke loan contract with a friend and we were both extremely satisfied with the result. Having made use of the 7 day free trial period and printed off the contract, I easily cancelled the provisional subscription as instructed with no problems. Reading between the lines of the negative reviews it seems that some customers claim to be charged for the trial period and others claim that payments were taken without their authority after the trial period expired. The reality is that every customer has to provide card details in case they decide to automatically continue the subscription after the 7 day trial expires. If they do not wish this to happen the onus falls on the customer to cancel their provisional subscription online within the 7 days. Simple as that, yet so many complainants are clearly unfairly blaming this company for their own failings.

Really bad experience with this…

Really bad experience with this company. I work for a charity and used the trial to help with a one off document. Signed in for monthly fees and refused to refund even though never used the service or even logged in. No email receipts or communication to show that they were taking the money. Really unethical business model.

This is a scam and fraudulent company

AVOID LIKE PLAGUE

This is a scam and fraudulent company . They are taking regular payments from my account without consent or authority. £47 each time even trying twice in one day.

There is no standing charge or direct debit set up and they have sent no email to confirm any subscription or that a payment has been taken

Documents do not stand up in court

Documents do not stand up in court, had my case thrown out and have to pay a solicitor to draw it up plus pay the court fee again. Guess they know this cause I asked for a refund and they sent it straight away. No apology.

terrible docs & functionality

Laborious process to get to the end result of a fairly poor document... which is only revealed once you've entered card details.

Then the kicker is you can only download pdf or HTML - no idea why they haven't made word doc downloading a thing (since every markup ever is done in word).

Raised the issue with their customer team and was told HTML does work as a workaround for word... but the format gets all screwed up when editing or putting into google docs.

Sham company with poor documents, I'd avoid.
