Amazing trip, great team and second to none service level.

Just back from yet another excellent Diveworld trip to Marsa Shagra, Egypt - our 5th in 10 years! It's such a great Red Sea venue for divers of all abilities. We really appreciate all the hard work that Lou and Steve put in, before and during the trip, to ensure a safe journey and to help so many of us succeed in furthering our qualifications and diving experience. David was particularly grateful for the time and expertise Lou gave to help him with the Underwater Photography course. Thanks again, guys. Hope to be back diving with you again soon.

What an amazing trip to Egypt! Lou and Steve organised what can only be called a trip of a lifetime. The diving as promised was amazing, the company was delightful, the service was second to none. Even as a scuba instructor myself, I was like a kid in a candy shop, can’t wait to go back! This trip not only expanded my diving skills it also expanded my circle of friends, this was achieved by the work and commitment of Lou and Steve, thanks to you both for a brilliant trip. 🙏🙏

Diveworld succeeded in pulling the proverbial rabbit out of the hat on this their latest visit to Egyptian Marsa Shagra eco-dive village. Louise and Steve went to great lengths to ensure many of the 28 divers from Sheffield, were able to improve and develop their individual dive skills. I was able to iron out buoyancy problems as well as complete SMB training with their support. All in all an experience worth repeating, thanks to Diveworld. 10 out of 10!

Diveworld have an excellent reputation for scuba diving training. They also arrange amazing holidays. I have just returned from the Marsa Shagra trip, a thoroughly relaxed and enjoyable experience. Check out their website for more adventures. I am already booked on the Farnes and Maldives trips.

We would like to take a minute to pass on our recommendations of the Dive World team in Sheffield.

We completed the first stages of our Open Water Qualification this weekend by doing the theory sections 1-5 and our 1-5 confined water dives.

Alison and myself can not praise the training team enough. They were all very professional and patient when needed.

There were also other members of the team that helped in the water so we would also like to say a big thank you to them as well.

Both of us are looking forward to the next stages of this exciting sport.

We approached Diveworld as absolute beginners wanting to complete the theory and confined water training elements of our Open Water training before doing our qualifying dives on holiday. We've been blown away by the quality of service received from Diveworld - excellent and highly enjoyable theory training from Louise in our family group; thorough, careful, well explained pool training from Steve, and loads of stories, opportunities to practice, additional information and advice to cement what we've been taught. The wider Diveworld team have all been friendly, approachable and ready to help us too. Our holiday open water instructors commented on how well we'd been prepared for the open water training dives and complemented Diveworld from afar on their work. We're really keen to do more diving with Diveworld!

If you have an interest in scuba, there is no better place than Diveworld to learn some scuba skills, but if you want to learn to scuba dive; become an instructor, or develop instructor skills, and have a commitment to do well and succeed, then Diveworld is one of the best centres in the world to do this, (and they have the Padi certifications to prove it!). Why? Here is my experience:

Having completed my Open Water Scuba Instructor Course with Diveworld, I’ve subsequently gone on to complete a further 10 Specialty Instructor Courses with them. All these courses again being expertly delivered by Steve; from the classroom to under water sessions. The material content, delivery of instruction, demonstrations and support provided have been to the highest level possible, meaning I feel like I have the skills required and confidence in my ability to deliver these courses proficiently thus enabling student divers to improve their diving skills.

Steve doesn’t just deliver the content of the instructor manual, he goes into detail to explain why and provides scenarios, so I feel I’m armed with multiple methods of providing instruction or problem solving so that issues don’t become disasters under water.

Throughout all of these courses, I’ve also received; advice, incredible support and encouragement from Louise, the co-owner of Diveworld. Not only has Lou taken care of all the logistics such as accommodation for training events, leaving me free to focus on my courses, we’ve had many a late evening chat re-enforcing Steve’s instruction and building on scenarios with her own experiences as instructor. Both Steve and Louise have given so much time passing on their knowledge which isn’t representative of standard course fees, this information really is priceless!

I can’t really say that any of this learning has been particularly hard work, classroom, pool and open water sessions have been very active, but I’ve had so much fun too, all down to the manner in which learning is delivered.

In my opinion, Steve and Louise make great mentors with the passion they personally have for scuba and the industry generally. Each had time for me whenever needed; giving little snippets of information that help become a better instructor and diver.

I think the best way I can sum up Steve and Louise’s approach to anyone wanting to learn scuba skills is;
If you demonstrate a willingness to learn and make that commitment, both Steve and Louise will invest their time in you and your training. Their standards are high and so too could your skills be!

I have recently passed my Advanced Diver Course with Diveworld. I'd recommend Diveworld to anyone with full confidence who is wanting to get into scuba diving.

I got in touch with them letting them know what my diving aspirations are and what I needed to get to where I wanted to be. From the very beginning, Louise and Steve have been so helpful in guiding me through what I need.

Steve Planned a bespoke 1 to 1 advanced diver course which lasted a week, where we did everything needed to pass the course. I felt in safe hands 100% of the time and learnt a lot very quickly thanks to Steve's expertise.

I am carrying my diving journey on with Diveworld and have my Recuse Diver Course booked in! I can see myself staying and expanding my skills with Diveworld for a long time to come!

I recently completed my PADI rescue course with Diveworld. This was certainly the toughest course I have completely in Scuba diving. Steven and his team certainly put us through our paces, as this course requires. Steven and everyone at Diveworld where very knowledgeable, efficient, friendly and very experienced. I would highly recommend Diveworld to anyone in the Sheffield area or willing to dive that little bit further to go there. Looking forward to completely more courses at Diveworld.

Brilliant PADI Dive Rescue Course. A must if your are a professional minded scuba diver intent on being the best diver possible. Well managed course at Dive World Sheffield. A great team.

I started at the club with a discover scuba session. This was great start, allowing me to familiarise with the equipment, it was an enjoyable experience introducing me to aspects of safety and use of equipment, signals and so forth.

After that we attended a club night where we expanded on that, taking in another pool session and learning more skills.

Following on from that and after reading and listening to all the coursework, we did theory for the day were we learned more skills including proper assembly and disassembly of the equipment. At the end we all took the theory exam.

Next, we did the confined water part of the course. This was a full day of skill demonstration exercises which we practiced until we could confidently perform the required skills required to that point. By the end of the day I felt confident in my skill knowledge so far in the practical use of equipment and safety aspects of diving.

I attended another club night before finally heading to the Capernwray dive site near Lancaster for the open water section of the course over two days. Everything was explained to us beforehand in the pre dive briefings. We then went out into the water to be shown the skills and then demonstrate that we could perform these ourselves until we were proficient.

I felt in good hands throughout the learning process from start to finish and had such a great time as well.

I have just completed my Rescue Diver, EFR and O2 courses with Diveworld. All courses were excellent. Rescue Diver was particularly challenging, but Steve and "victim/patient" Russ made it interesting, to say the least. The support and help I have received from Diveworld over the last 2 years means I have now reached the level of Master Scuba Diver, which I would not have done without their unwaivering help and support.

The staff are extremely friendly, helpful and undeniably experienced. They made me feel comfortable and safe the entire time and I have a massive fear of the water. The knowledge they hold is extensive and I cannot wait to do more dives and gain more experience through this wonderful team.

Always a first class experience with Diveworld. Knowledgeable, efficient, friendly and very experienced. I look forward to more certs and trips with this great team.

If you're looking to get into diving Diveworld is the best place to go! Started with the "discover scuba" experience day and fell in love from the first minute! Just finished my PADI open water qualification and the experience was amazing! Steve and Louise are absolutely lovely and wonderful teachers! I've learned loads of things next to them and I really can't wait to get deeper into diving with more courses !!!
