I can highly recommend this Spanish school to anyone looking to learn Spanish in a fun and supportive environment.

The Spanish classes are very well structured, making it easy to improve your language skills step by step. The teachers are excellent—professional, patient, and always motivated to help their students succeed.

What makes this school even more special is everything that happens outside the classroom. They organize fun activities every day, which are a great way to practice Spanish, explore the local culture, and meet people from all over the world.

Overall, it has been an amazing experience, and I would recommend this school to anyone who wants to learn Spanish while making unforgettable memories. Five stars!

Perfect place to learn Spanish

I had the best time at Mundo Antiguo! I learned Spanish for four weeks there and still wish I could have spent more time there. That’s because the wonderful teachers and small groups of classes make learning so much fun. All the people working there are very sweet and I was always looking forward to go to classes and learn something new including a mix of all you need: grammar, activities to practice and discussion of whatever comes up. The whole school is like a dreamscape. There is not only going to classes everyday but also really fun activities which ensure an incandescent glow into everyday life. Those activities organized by a really lovely social coordinator who is always there to help with every question you got helped me connect with the most amazing people which will make you feel like being part of a community. And the niceties of the host families and their rich food took the experience to the top. I had such a great time during my stay at Mundo Antiguo and would love to come back. So highly recommend!

My stay in Mundo Antigo

I spent 4 weeks in the Mundo Antiguo school and I had a wonderful time.

The school has a great atmopshere and the team is making every effort to give the students a great stay. The teachers are really good and make the lessons a lot of fun with excercices and games. I had my lessons in a group of 2-3 people. When I came I knew little Spanish but after 4 weeks I have made good progress.

In the evenings and weekends the school also organises additional activities that you can join of you like such as salsa lessons, joint diners, movie nights and language exchanges with people from Cusco.

I also really enjoyed the home stay with the Delia family who took really good care of me and also allowed me to further practice my Spanish.

Finally, the agency that organises the weekend trips is also great. I had to change some of my planned trips and there is every day a very kind lady in the school who was super flexible and helped me to rearrange.

So Mundo Antiguo is highly recommended!

Amazing school highly recommend!

I had an amazing time at Mundo Antiguo. I had 5 teachers over a month and they were all fantastic. The classes are dynamic, with a good mix of grammar, activities to practice, and interesting discussions about politics and culture. The small group setup really helped me to improve quickly. The school organises a social activity every weekday, which really creates a community feel and greatly enriched my experience in Cusco. Finally I had an excellent homestay with Magali, who was the loveliest and really went above and beyond. I wish I could have spent more time there and I highly recommend the school to anyone!

The besttt

During my time in Cusco I did a month of spanish school. And eventhough I was avoiding any form of school during my trip the teachers made it so much fun!! It did not feel like school at all, but I learned more in those 4 weeks of spanish school than I did in 4 years of highschool spanish. The teachers are amazing! And the people working in the school in general too! The activities after school make it even better. The activities were always fun and It helped me making friends for life!
Even after I finished my time at the school I was allowed to still join the activities, that really helped me keep in touch with the people.
And Ninoska, the lady organizing all the activities was the sweetest person ever! She made me feel soo welcoming and I could always turn to her if i needed something.
Honestly just had the best time ever, soo muchísimas gracias Mundo Antiguo!❤️

Mundo Antiguo

I spent a month at Mundo Antiguo taking Spanish classes and living with a host family. My experience in Cusco was amazing thanks to the school- I could not recommend this experience enough! All of the teachers were lovely and very helpful, they created a laid back and fun learning environment that was perfect for improving my Spanish. The admin staff are very communicative and responsive to your questions and needs and the social coordinator Ninoska is amazing!!! Every day she organizes activities for students to get know each other and have a culturally immersive experience in Cusco. She is also happy to help connect you to other events in the city that might align with your interests. My hosts Felcie and Vladimir were beyond welcoming and I had a beautiful stay in their home. Through their recommendations, along with the tour company linked to the school I was able to visit so many stunning places in Cusco, the Sacred Valley and beyond. This was truly such a wonderful way of getting to know a new city, meet lots of great people and explore Peru! Cant wait to be back :)

Mundo Antiguo is more than just a…

Mundo Antiguo is more than just a school. It’s a community, a family, an experience. Everyone there is friendly, welcoming and helpful. From my first days with little Spanish to my final day-the seven weeks with them showed me the hospitality of Cusco and a world open with a new language. Teachers are well trained, helpful and supportive. I fully recommend this school. From group classes to private sessions, they meet you at your level and move to improve your skills. Never a dull moment, the classes move at a pace which keeps you motivated and engaged. Social events every weekday. Salsa clases, dinners out, language exchange, sport games and the best part…Friday afternoon cultural immersion! I could go on and on here, but you see the stellar reviews for this school. That’s why I selected to attend this school for nearly two months. You’ll be glad you chose Mundo Antiguo too! Being a former teacher and school administrator for 30 years, I was impressed at all levels of how this school is structured. Trust me and the 100’s of other 5 star reviews.

AMAZING place to learn spanish!

I spent a month in cusco with Mundo Antiguo. It was amazing! The group classes have a maximum of 4 students, but some weeks I had only 2 or 3 total depending on the speaking level of who was attending.

The teachers were awesome and did a great job of mixing grammar with speaking exercises.

The school itself also hosted events in the evenings. Monday get to know everyone dinner at a restaurant, tuesday free salsa and bachata lessons, Wednesday sports night (futbol or volleyball), Thursday intercambio de idiomas, and friday afternoon a cultural event.

There are 6-8 host families to choose from and from what I have heard all of them have been great. The accommodation includes breakfast, lunch and dinner and is very affordable.

The school is also very flexible if you become ill while traveling or want to extend your learning/accommodations!

Great experience, 100% recommend!

Excellent Experience!!!

I had an absolutely excellent experience at Mundo Antiguo. I arrived with no particular expectations, but the service and teaching I received went far beyond anything I could have imagined.

Three weeks ago, I came here without speaking Spanish, and today I leave as someone who can communicate confidently in the language. The teaching approach is both friendly and highly professional, and the teachers themselves are truly outstanding.

Not once did I feel bored, every class was engaging, fun, and full of learning.

Great job, Mundo Antiguo, and thank you for this unforgettable experience!

Amazing Spanish School in Cusco

I really enjoyed my time here at Mundo Antiguo! The lessons are in small groups, so it's very intense but you also learn a lot in a short period of time. The evening activities organized by the school make it easy to get to know other people and also practice spanish outside the classroom (the language exchange was my favourite activity). All in all it was an amazing experience and I definitely recommend it!

An amazing Spanish school in Cusco. The lessons are of high quality and feel like I learned a lot in just a week of group lessons. Also, the social aspect is amazing and a great way to meet new people, especially with the homestay option. Would highly recommend

No Better Immersion than Mundo Antiguo

I lived for a month in Cusco and took class 5 days a week with Mundo and they made this trip an incredible and special experience. From my first email their team was responsive and attentive to my needs and interests, especially Melissa (Meli). She helped me find a great host family, sign up for all excursions and even find a piano teacher in the city for my time there.

The school, and Ninoska particularly, does a fantastic job organizing events every day of the week and the diverse group of students this school attracts makes this not just feel like an immersive Spanish experience but an education and exposure to cultures globally.

Somehow they have an ability to only hire teachers who are fantastic. Sandra is energetic, kind and attentive to each of her students needs and gives the kind of homework that keeps you wanting to learn outside of class. Jimmy is a consummate professional who is quick to keep things engaging. Heidi doesn't hesitate to engage each student personally so they can put what they're learning to use quickly. Silvana will have you speaking easily in no time. These are just the teachers I had, but each of my fellow students had great things to say about each one.

If you are looking to be immersed in the culture of Peru and learn or improve your Spanish quickly with other curious travelers there is no better place than Mundo Anitguo!
