Jojojo was so helpful.

Jojojo was so helpful when I rang about activating my new sim card. None of my questions were a bother to answer. I would recommend this company to anyone.

Poor customer service

Poor customer service - Call to only be told to 'check online' while obviously I could not activate my new sim online as the 'number could not be found' when I tried. The person seem like couldn't be bothered to explain anything when asked. Regret purchasing my $200 sim from lebara. I wished I've checked their reviews before buying. Do not recommend!

Summary: Lebara have stop people from buying cheap 30-days-plans to access mobile-data: via monthly activation of NEW prepaid-plans.

I have being buying their cheap 30-day plans for mobile-data use, eg $12 for 100GB on special. Monthly activation of new-plans is inconvenience & require planning: not quoting their new mobile # to friends etc.

5-Aug-23, they have now implemented a NEW-process that stop users from doing the above. Lebara limits the mobile# users are able to have assigned to their name, say 5#s. This is done via a process set up to deliberately frustrate: requesting user to validate sms send to their old mobile# (user thrown-away old sim-cards), & not validate users via other means, eg email, name, physical address, dob etc. Effectively, user can't cancel old mobile#s used in the past.

Lebara are thieves

I topped up my phone on 25th April and on that day my balance was $60. Today 5th May my balance has dropped to Zero and my phone has completely stopped working! I have hardly made any phone calls in this period. Lebara are a bunch of thieves and should not have license to operate and rip people off.

Do Lebara emply anyone in CS?

Good luck trying to get to speak to anyone at Lebara! With bugs in the website and not being able to get to talk to anyone it is a nightmare.

A colleague who tried Lebara got so frustrated they went for a Paypal refund (which apparently Lebara ignored until Paypal intervened).

So wish I'd stayed with my previous provider - who I wmay well go back to as this is just wasting my time. I decided to try Lebara as they have this 'Data Gifting and Banking' but am rapidly thinking it is not worth the stress!

(May update: Actually, gonna jump ship from them now. The Data Gifting doesn't actually work so a waste of time. Crikey, Lebara used to be quite good, but nowadays seem to have gone right down :-( )

Awful company

This company took my money for a service they have not provided. When contacted they have fobbed me off with emails saying that they would refund me but haven't. Now no response. Don't go near them as I'm beginning to think they are a scam company.

Lebara is TPG. Says it all. Keep away.

Ordered 3 SIMs for the family. Received notification email saying I would get an email when they were sent.

One week later, still nothing - no email, no SIMs.

Trying phoning customer support. Could not get through (sept 2 hours trying!).

Tried their online chat. After an hour, I finally got a response. He said the sims had been sent when I ordered them. When I asked why I had not had an email saying they had been sent he disconnected connection!!

Raised a PAYPAL resolution request. Never had a response from Lebara. Have now escalated it to Paypal for a full refund.

Only now I find out Lebara is TPG - who were terrible when a copper ISP. Speaks volumes! Steer clear!!!

Absolutely HORRIBLE customer service! AVOID

I bought a pre paid sim starter pack for my son from the shops. went to activate it for my son on the app but it refuses to actvate without any ID and the one ID i did have it denied. I called them and say on hold for 30 mins before i hung up. i went online only to be told by the activation team to either call customer service or use the online service.. which i already tried.... BOTH.. useless excuse for costomer service... Go elsewhere if i was you..

Where is my refund?

They keep promising to refund me for an unauthorised charge; but two weeks later, nothing.

Allegedly, they couldn't credit the refund to my debit card, yet I only find this out after I try to contact them to chase my refund.

I am sure the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission would be keenly interested to ask Lebara some questions about this behaviour.

In the meantime, I have filed a chargeback with my bank.

It’s a SCAM

It’s a SCAM, I bought online Lebara SIM card $150 for 360 days 180 GB, they said I can’t use my existing number so I cancel it and they will refund the money, but until now I haven’t receive the money, I tried to email them but no response.
Also I bought another online Lebara SIM card for my daughter $12, when I received the SIM card, it was only $2 starter pack so I recharge $14.90 but still not working, I called the CS and they will send a new SIM card with the plans on it, too complicated and confusing

I've been with slowbara for over 5yrs - time to move on

I've been slowbara for over 5yrs because when they 1st came into the market they had the best deals and everything worked - now the internet hardly ever works, MMS is a joke, service is non existent. This is what happens when a company relies upon people not being bothered to move - never again. No point having 200GB in data bank if it's slow it's affecting my business for starters and personal usage secondary. I will never go near them again. You get two chances in business, the first better be fixed because the second time is go elsewhere. See ya slowbarra loyalty means nothing anymore.

Worst Customer Service

The Lebara customer service is probably the worst and disappointing one in the country. Call times can take up an hour and email responses can take several days. The mobile internet is pretty slow and MMS doesn't go through.

Waste of money, frustrating service

I was a customer with Lebara before and they had shockingly bad service. I stupidly bought a Lebara SIM again because it was on special at Coles and I need an extra data plan. The SIM wouldn't work and after waiting 20mins on hold they said to email an account which I still don't have any reply from a week later. These guys are jokers, don't waste your time.

Stay away they are scammers

Stay away they are scammers. Charging me monthly even though im not subscribed. No refunds no transacrion numbers and my card details are not even saved.

They are totally unreachable in all…

They are totally unreachable in all manners and form. They are supposed to send me my new sim for a network change they are making. They havent sent any sim nor have they bothered to be reachable by phone/email/chat to lodge my complaint. They have deactivated my sim. a number which i have used to register for all things official! Their customer support is non existent! Their data limit is also so poor! The only advantage used to be the fact that they let you register sim on video call. Now even that is gone. They make you go until the last step and say sorry right now video registration is not possible. The right now in all forms (email/chat/call@15ct) = not reachable! Never register with Lebara!

Rubbish company, rubbish sim card, rubbish customer service, rubbish system

I bought two sim cards, when I try to activated them, it said the sim cards are invalid. I took few hours on their website and apps. Useless, all shows the sim card is not found. Then I called them, I waited more than one hour, no one answered. I also live chat with them, no one online neither. Lebera is a just a one-off company with no service. After you buy the Lebara sim card, please be aware, your money get lost. It is better to buy food for dogs than buying a lebara sim card.
