Scam / Con / Fraudulent

Ordered from Le Flair London on 4 April 2025. No confirmation email received. Delivery took 3 weeks, after chasing. Returned items as too small and was told to return to China (not UK). Cost me £17 to return the items. After frequent emails chasing my refund (which I have copies of and can prove), and the leflair.co.uk email address now bouncing back as invalid, today (on 16 July 2025), I passed the issue to my bank to investigate as a scam/fraudulent. DO NOT order from Le Flair. It's a con and you won't get a refund.

Awful just awful

Awful just awful. Waiting weeks for a dress that bears no resemblance to the picture or the material or in any way resembles the dress I paid good money for. Judging by the reviews on here I have well and truly been had. Steer clear.

Avoid at all costs.

Avoid at all costs.

Terrible customer service and dishonest in their 30 day money-back guarantee.

After returning shoes nearly 3 months ago I’m still waiting to be refunded - in breach of my statutory rights which have been ignored. I’ve been lied to and stonewalled. The website references a “closure sale” so query if this company is about to go bust. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM.

Rubbish dress

I wish I did go to Trustpilot first. I was very disappointed with the dress. First of all it's polyester !! On the website there is no mention of the fabric they use which is generally not a good sign and also very misleading. "Lightweight and breathable" is not the name of the fabric. I was prepared for some kind of a natural mixture at least but certainly not for a polyester for a summer dress!! Not the most breathable fabric and I would have never made a purchase if I'd seen the word "polyester". It looks cheap and shiny, a bit like princesses dress from a party shop. Also there is a misrepresentation of the colour. I've got this very bright lemony yellow instead of a darker and more sophisticated shade on the website. The dress in the photograph also looks kind of textured and definitely not shiny. All in all not good. Where all their hundreds of good reviews coming from?? Relatives??))

I’m reluctant to give even 1 star

I’m reluctant to give even 1 star. Firstly delivery was a lot longer than informed.
Item finally arrived, nothing like the item in the picture.
Extremely cheap material, not even the same colour, no a similarity between item and product displayed.
Company isn’t London based, it’s China. Same products as Temu on further investigation, Google scan image produced the same photograph.
30 day money back guarantee, if you bare the cost of returning item to China cost more than item purchased.

AVOID, AVOID, AVOID!!!!

Avoid!

I bought a pair of colourful jeans. Was meant to be a shop shutting down in London but it turns out the shipping arrived from China. Awful material and badly cut.

How to get your money back!!!!

Hi everyone,

Le Flair are displaying fake trustpilot reviews. This is illegal and we can report them to the authorities. (It won't let me show the email address to report to), but if you ask google ' what is the email to report fake reviews the the CMA', it should come up.

I have done this and sent screenshots of the fake and real reviews, with a quick explanation, I'd urge others to please take a minute of your time and do this too!

Secondly, after a 7 message email correspondence with Le Flair's customer service team, I got all my money back.

They offered me 10%, 25% and then a 40% partial refund, but I continued to insist that I am entitled to a full refund with shipping costs paid to return my item, and today, I got a full refund.

You can do this if the product recieved is not 'as described' i.e. it doesn't look like the photos in terms of colour, fabric and design, (which is what most people are saying in the reviews below, so I get the impression I'm not the only one) meaning you can get a full refund and return shipping paid for.

This was my final email which initiated the refund, if anyone wants to use it for inspo please feel free.

'Thank you for your prompt response. However, as I have previously stated, under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, it is your legal obligation to cover the cost of return shipping when a product is not as described. The item I received differs significantly from the photos and description on your website (of which I have shown you above), and therefore I should not be expected to pay for its return.

As a UK-based company, you are bound by UK consumer law. I am entitled to a full refund and free return shipping under these circumstances.

If this matter is not resolved promptly and in accordance with your legal obligations, I will have no choice but to escalate the issue. This may include reporting the matter to Trading Standards and initiating a formal dispute through my payment provider.'

I then was given a full refund email a day later.

Still giving a 1 star review though as I had to go to all this effort and I hope this helps.

P.S. if this still doesn't work you can ask for a charge back from your bank.

I believed this was a London based…

I believed this was a London based store that was closing down. Duped again even tho I was very diligent in my search engine.
The item recieved today after being assured it would be delivered within 24hrs if my order is atrocious in quality and design.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE don’t buy anything from them.
I’m so angry, another £40 down the drain.

Beware linen dress sellers on instagram

Still waiting for my order weeks later, with constant reassurances via email that it will arrive, but tracking not available.
I assume it won’t arrive as I see many companies selling the exact same products on instagram, all with different company names, and all bad ratings. I feel this is a scam

If there was a minus score

If there was a minus score, I’d give it a minus 10 ! Lied online saying it’s going to close after 20 something years . Looked like an established company but is infact a Chinese company on par with Shein but with a lot higher prices!
Quality of clothes was less than a fiver each but charged more than £30 each ! I wish I researched before ordering . Total utter rip off by deception .. needs to be reported !

DO NOT buy from this website

DO NOT buy from this website. It leads you to believe it is a London based company closing down. It wasn’t until I tried to find their returns policy that it declares it is based in Asia and returns can cost between £10-20! Shocking quality, even more shocking returns policy! They fooled me, however I will be more alert next time! STAY CLEAR of this website!

Terrible Experience

Terrible Experience – Misleading Product and Scam Tactics!

I ordered a product from le flair , but what I received was completely different from what was advertised. The quality is extremely poor, and the item looks nothing like the photos shown online. When I asked for a refund, they refused unless I shipped the item back to China at my own expense — even though the problem was entirely their fault.

They tried to offer a small partial refund (10%, then 15%) to avoid a proper resolution. This is a classic scam tactic to avoid taking responsibility for misleading customers.

The return address is in China, and shipping costs are high, making it impossible to get your money back in reality. Based on my experience, I believe le flair operates dishonestly, and I would strongly advise others to stay away. They told me to get 50 % of next purchase and the website saying it is closing !!!!!

Do not waste your money with Le flair — avoid this seller at all costs!

They send damaged items and won’t refund!!

Under no circumstances use this company - they sent a damaged item, and refused to refund me unless I paid out of my own pocket to return the item to China. Their alternative suggestion was to refund me a third of what I’d paid - I cannot work out how they feel it would be acceptable for me to pay 70% of the cost of an unusable item. Surely there is a legal issue here?
