Wondering if it is a scam ?
Wondering if it is a scam ?
Hi everyone,
I've enrolled in legacy education in September 2019 and I am afraid that it would be a scam.
Please tell me have you went to London ? for the 3 days mentorship ? if yes how was it ? useful or not at all ?
Have a good one
High class scam. They do NOT honour their refund policy.
I attended a free 2h evening workshop in Tauranga, New Zealand where the 3 day course was advertised. It was made clear that if one signed up for the course on the night but changed ones mind within 7 days, one would be entitled to a full refund. I questioned Lauren Bickley (who was in charge of processing the payments for signing up on the evening) as to the legitimacy of this 7 day refund. She ensured me that if I changed my mind, my money would be refunded. It has been over 2 months since first requesting a refund (4 days after signing up for and paying for the course). I have been in contact both with Lauren Bickley and Stacey Hill. Initially they communicated with me telling me that my refund request had been passed on to senior management and should be processed within 21 working days. No refund ever came and despite my numerous e-mails and letter of complaint they are still ignoring me. Clearly I have been caught up in a scam. I have contacted the Citizens Advice Bureau, Netsafe and the Commerce Commission to report Legacy Education Alliance. It is becoming clear that they have no intentions of responding to my e-mails or refunding my money. Stay well away from them!
Scammers
I completely agree with all negative feedback. I lost a lot of money with them. There no such refund policy and company keeps changing name periodically to wash out from debts (Refund requests). Anthony Carlyle HUMPAGE is one of directors and you should avoid any dealings with any companies he is a Director. Another 'smart' director is James MAY also from USA. You can check in UK company’s house website and look for most up to date list of companies they are involved. Stop and think many times before you hand your money to Legacy Education (past names RICH DAD EDUCATION Ltd, LEGACY EDUCATION ALLIANCE INTERNATIONAL Ltd, WHITNEY UK Ltd, TIGRENT LEARNING UK Ltd).
My advice is use that money you about to spend on courses and 'Professional Investors help' to buy couple of books for this subject (Nr. 1 is Creative Finance). Then go out and try actual property investing. Your ££££ or £££££ spent on silly courses actually can be working for you and not make others even richer.
Hopefully my review is helpful
Let me rob you of your money
Since these cowboys took my £997 on 29th September, my dealings with them have been nothing short of a disgrace. I have absolutely nothing to show for it.
Unfortunately I got suckered into taking the 3 day course after going to a 2 hour seminar. I googled the company when I got home and was horrified that there was a lot of negative reviews online (please note positive reviews are fake).
I contacted them the next day to cancel, which was accepted. They told me to return the package I had received on the day. No problem. Went to the post office, but they didn't accept my parcel, because the powerbank they had put in the package is prohibited from postage as it is a restricted item. Went to another 2 post offices, same story again. Went home and contacted 5 different couriers, same story again. These chancers knew exactly what they were doing when they put a power bank in with the packages they hand out to people who sign up.
After back and forth, they finally said, I didn't need to return the powerbank and "as a gesture of goodwill," I could keep it and return the rest of the package... But I would still get a full refund within 21 working days. The package was signed as received. Complete radio silence, so had to email and phone again.
It's now December and I'm still waiting. Another google search a few days ago and I find out that the company has gone into administration. Phoned them up today, and the person says that the old company doesn't exist and they now operate under a new company called Asset Academy. I strongly advise anybody who hears of this company to avoid them like the plague as well. They only want your money, and once they've got it, you aren't getting it back.
Hopefully the chancers that run this scam get all the karma that's due their way. I've now got to contact the administrator and my bank in an attempt to get my money back now.
I finally got my money back from my bank (massive thanks to them).
This company is in administration
This company is in administration. There is a new company that has taken over. It appears the new company are honouring the training.
Packages for between £10,000 and £40,000
They tell you how much they are making (and it is millions in like 3yrs), then they try & switch you to a £1000 three day course. Apparently on the 3-day course they try to switch you to Premium Packages for between £10,000 and £40,000. Save your money & buy a house with it.
Don't worry guys
Don't worry guys, I hate scammers, and I hate being tricked. Martin Roberts, and all the 'team' in Manchester, Nov 2019, I'd like you to meet some people. Not sure when they'll arrive, but no matter, they'll find you.
Promise of refund - still no sign
After attending the introductory weekend at £1000.00 each, at which on day one you are asked to contact your credit card company to raise the credit limit... day three you are asked to pay for more courses. The three day course is a rip off and just a sales pitch for the much higher priced courses.
Have been waiting for a refund for 4 weeks now after sending all learning materials back to legacy. Have been given a few excuses about systems being down, people being out of the office, and waiting for authorisation from directors. Still no indication of any date the money will be refunded. Next step is to take legal action.
Course is a waste of time, keep your money
SCAM - At Letter Before Action Stage - Then Court
We to did the 3 hour introduction course and parted with nearly £1000 of our money back end of October 2019. We immediately realized our error when reading reviews on Trust Pilot and requested an immediate refund and sent all packs back as requested. We have since chased this refund numerous times to be told their payment systems are down and that the refund is 100% Guaranteed. This is now a month ongoing and still no refund to the point we have issued an LBA letter with the intent of court action should refund not be given within 5 working days.
I urge anyone to be very cautious with this company and do not hold any hope of us retrieving the money owed without going to court. This is a so called company meant to be endorsed by celebrities is really a scam and they are simply gathering as much up sell payments to keep before they fold - Companies House Accounts Overdue and this business already has a number of CCJ's does not make good reading be WARNED!
I attended the 2 hour course and paid…
LEGACY EDUCATION DOESN'T LIKE REFUNDING UNHAPPY CLIENTS???
I attended the 2 hour course and paid to do the 3 days course. However on return home I started reading reviews (thank you TRUSTPILOT) and became concerned that the 3 days course was to train you to go on a further course. I thought that was not for me and asked for my money back. All materials including the carry bag sent back same day.
Refund request made on 28th October 2019.
Its 18th November 2019: Nil refund received
Question is how is it that these people who are wealthy from their property investments and are also turning others into millionaires can not afford to give back less than a 1000 pounds.
All I can say is thank you to you guys on Trustpilot.
I went to the 2 hour free workshop
I went to the 2 hour free workshop. I bought the 3 day course for $500. I live in toronto canada. I went on the internet and saw the reviews. I cancelled my 3 day course and requested a refund. In Canada the law is a refund has to be process in 15 days. It's being over 15 days and I still haven't receive my refund. They won't reply back to my email. The first workshop date start on Sept 27. I am going to go there and make a scene to get back my money. There is no proper customer service. This is a big scam
Intense, useful and valuable session.
The 3 day courses is full with a lot of useful information and practical cases about the property landscape, various property products, financing options, productivity, time management, inspiration in taking action. This is an enabler to be prepared to get into property with the right toolkit and team around you.
We went in with my wife with little expectactions and did the homework required prior to the event : we truly enjoyed the team, the speaker, the energy, the format and the practical knowledge and information shared during the 3 days. Great group of people with diverse path of life and objectives.
It is indeed a 3 day program to bring participants into the next level training called "advanced course" (with various different level of modules). Great selling method thay deliver results which is to be expected from a private education company (different products to sell related to property)
The advanced course helps accelerate anyone into the property industry -as investor' with a robust team, best practices guide and network of professional investors and mentorship program.
We got the value back during those 3 days and will certainly join the International Legacy Community.
It may not be for everyone admittely, but at the end of the day what is? Go with an open mind and be ready to learn lots of relevant techniques and information.
If you want to accelerate your learning in property, be challenged and invest in yourself with people who know what they are doing in property: Don't think twice.
Tips: If you can go with your partner or someone with who you share a business project in property together, it will be even more valuable.
High pressure sales con
I attended one of the free Rich Dad Education workshops, it is a high-pressure sales con, you don't really learn anything actionable around property, the free workshop is all about getting you to pay hundreds of pounds for a 3-day workshop.
Also, has anyone noticed anything strange about all of the 5-star excellent reviews on here? Let's see which days these 5* reviews were posted:
14 Jul 2019= 9
13 Jul 2019= 1
12 Jul 2019= 5
29 Jun 2019= 1
27 Jun 2019= 3
Multiple 5* reviews posted on the same day and all posted within a timeframe of 18 days, I suspect the company has posted these review, just a reminder to them posting fake reviews is misleading consumers and is in breach of the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008.
COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME
Please do not waste your time on this so-called property training. I feel completely ripped off and scammed. We went to the "free workshop' in Manchester, which was an up-sell event more than anything. Stupidly we decided to pay £1000 for the 3-day training, which turn out to be another up-sell event (a very expensive one)!
Day one- the two speaks took 2 and a half hours doing their introduction, most of the time swearing at each other. When they finally decided to start talking to us about property investment, we were told to not ask any questions at all, and it would be discussed later (which never happened) . Everything property related was discussed at lightning speed, and most of the information, you can easily YouTube or Google for. Oh, let's not forget, they also conveniently asked each of us to call our credit card company to ask for a raise of credit limit, which should conveniently pay for the advanced course later.
Day two- Worse than day one. 60% of the time was used for upselling the advance training course which can cost £10k to £40k. One of the speakers actually spent 2 hours (yes I was timing him) telling the audience why he wanted to do property, from why he spent on the course anyway even though he was broke, to how he proposed to his girlfriend when he's flooded with money. No offence, but most of us in the room were not at all interested in his love story. I felt extremely annoyed that he did not respect the time of his audience at all. If this was supposed to be a fairy tale session, we should have been informed and half of us would have left the room.
Day three- They'd completely lost their interest in teaching us anything property related. It was 80% up-sell.
I left the event feeling completely frustrated. During the weekend, I saw young people trying desperately to apply for personal loan to fund for the advanced training course. A lady actually got so upset because she could not afford the £20k. I think it's fair to say this lady actually thought her life was over. People went to this event hoping to get financially free because some of them were already struggling, they were looking for a way out. So Legacy was trying to sell them a dream, a very expensive one. You want to build a property empire with no money? No problem, get yourself into £20k debt first then we will teach you something.
I understand this is a business and people need to make a profit somehow, but I will absolutely not recommend this kind of training to anyone. If you’re even thinking to join the 3-day training course, save your money and time, it’s one expensive weekend with constant sales pitch.
Don't waste your money!!!
You're not signing for property investmenr training you're giving your money for Multi Level Marketing business. At the 3 day "course" they'll give just a bit of information (which you might want to check after that if it's even reliable) just to get your interest so you'll stay for the next 2 days. The whole time you'll be under very aggressive selling and intense psychological tricks (some of which: they'll show you how much you don't know about property investing so you need them for help, breaks are short and you're pushed to talk with one of the "mentors" for your strategy so you won't have time to think and may be doubt in them - same with the lunch break so overall you end up hungry and tired so it's easier for them to manipulate you and take your money and more and more like these) so you can end up spending £20k on the next course. The main "mentor" or as he call himself "professional investor" is gonna try to convince you that he is rich arrogant and financially free, but he's just someone selling really hard a concept for 10hours a day on weekends.
If you want to become a part of MLM group and convince other people to give their money for empty promises go for it, but you're definitely not learning how to invest in properties on these courses.
Fabulous education and network family
Fabulous education and network family! We've learnt so much already and are only a few months into our Legacy journey. Sitting the Lease Options course this weekend; a real game changer with 2 brilliant speakers and a wonderful support team. Highly Recommended, 5*

Life changing moment a few months ago when I started on the Elite Legacy Training programme. No longer am I willing to accept working to other people's priorities and have started to set my own. Excellent training, well delivered and great support network.
