I had an appointment with Leightons in Cirencester today. The specialist audiologist, Mirna, was very caring and considerate, and she patiently explained the process to remove the ear wax that had built up in both ears. The procedure was painless, quick and very effective and I am really delighted about how much clearer I can now here. This was a thoroughly professional appointment and I would recommend Mirna for any ear concerns.

I made an appointment at Leightons in St Albans after having some changes to my hearing. Janos Tomics was my Audiologist. My appointment was on time and Janos was polite and professional. The appointment lasted a little over an hour, Janos took the time to explain how the ear/hearing worked, what tests he would be doing and why, he discussed the results in the context of what he had already explained. Janos proved to be knowledgeable in his field and happy to point me in the direction of further learning on topics we discussed should I wish to know more. The environment was clean and tidy, with up-to-date and professional testing equipment. I felt that the whole process was in-depth and given the time it needed. This test was free at Leightons, I find that frankly remarkable, few services that I have paid for have been as competent and encompassing as this appointment. Truly worth your time. I'm 77 and never had problems with my hearing until the start of August 2024. One morning I woke up and I had muffled hearing in both ears. I tried ear drops which did work slightly. I had the earwax removal appointment with Janos Tomics on 15th August 2024. He was both very professional and courteous. After looking in both my ears he said he would use water irrigation. It was a strange feeling, but not painful. After he had finished my hearing returned to normal and I would definitely recommend the earwax removal service of Leightons.

I have been a customer of Leightons for many years and have always been treated most respectfully and have got to know many of the staff personally. This last time I was in for an eye test and examined and fitted by Ester and Angela. Whilst being fitted for my new frames, a pair of beautiful Tom Ford frames, a member of staff gave me the five minute free hearing test and found that my hearing had really dropped off and was recommended that I have a proper hearing test and made an appointment for it there and then.
When I came in for my full hearing test I was assisted by Mirna and Amanda who were most helpful and was found to have lost almost 50% of my hearing and decided to go for the neatest, fairly expensive pair of hearing aids. Once, after some practice, I had them in correctly, they were so comfortable and I had no discomfort. I almost didn't realise I was wearing them, and would have no trouble giving a recommendation for other customers to have them. My husband has been telling me for sometime to get my hearing tested and as usual he was right and I did need help. I can't tell you how very helpful all the staff were in getting my new glasses, which I love, and my hearing aids fitted that I can't help but tell everybody to go to Leightons as you will be treated to the best. I’m very happy with the service I received at Leightons in Cirencester.
First I met Angela who took me through for imaging and field tests. She was confident and competent, explaining exactly what she was doing. She managed to get great images despite my wayward tiny pupils.
She then took me through and introduced me to Sarah who was to do my full eye test. Sarah was friendly and competent, again she gave full explanation of what she was doing taking time to answer all my questions and concerns. At no time did I feel rushed and I was reassured that all was well with my eye health.
After the eye test she took me through and introduced me to Jo who advised and helped me choose my new glasses. Jo showed me a number of frames from all price levels and designs along with the types of lens that would suit me best. As with the rest of the team she was friendly and very knowledgeable.
All in all a very positive experience with friendly, professional staff with obvious expertise in their field.
I even had a free hearing screen when I went in to the shop, it took a couple of minutes and reassured me that my hearing is fine.

I look forward to receiving my new glasses.

I am very pleased with my hearing assessment at Leightons in Cirencester. Janos was personable and professional. He was clearly very knowledgeable and explained helpfully the purpose of each part of the process. I wished to understand the detail of my developing hearing challenges and am grateful for his suggestions of the ways forward for me. 90 minutes well spent!

Mirna is brilliant! She sorted my father out with 2 new hearing aids recently. From the initial assessment to the follow up care, I couldn’t have been more impressed. He hasn’t heard this well for years. And everyone in the team is friendly, welcoming, professional and knowledgeable.

Friendly, attentive staff. Ester was lovely and did a thorough job on the eye exam and Jo, the manager took her time to show me all the specs available and I didn’t feel rushed or forced into buying something I didn’t want.

Amazing service from kris and calm atmosphere with great staff

I've been using Leightons for a few years, and the service has always been excellent.

I feel compelled to write this review, as the service on my last visit went above and beyond...

Having had an eye test over Christmas and ordering new glasses and prescription lenses for my Oakley sunnies, I wasn't getting on with either after living with them for a couple of weeks.

I booked another eye test with the same optician, Kris, as he did a thorough exam first time, however this time, explaining in more detail the issues I was experiencing.

Kris went through a few other tests, finding that I had an additional condition with my astigmatism, causing the issues that had not been found before (by any optician over the years).

On top of that, he also spotted something else which wouldn't normally have been noticed with a standard eye exam, and just to be safe, booked a referral with an eye specialist at Gloucester hospital - I'm glad Kris was so thorough, as it turns out I've got a torn retina, and am booked in for a quick laser surgery to fix it in a couple of weeks!

Going back to the prescription that was changed after that second visit, my lenses were exchanged with no quibbles, and are absolutely spot-on now.

I can't thank Kris and the team in Cirencester enough for being empathetic, thoughtful and thorough, and just lovely people to deal with!

Total satisfaction. Everyone there was thorough and professional, and very importantly gave us plenty of time to sort out our eyesight problems and requirements. After very disappointing experiences elsewhere we know we ... should have gone to ... Leightons.

I went along with my daughter, who had an eye examination, and needed a quote for my own spectacles.
Unfortunately your range of lenses was too restrictive for my requirements.

Everyone at Leightons went that extra yard in handling the preparation for and aftercare following my cataract surgery. I’d particularly single out Kris Ravikumar for his sage advice and good humour in dealing with the referral and post-op checks. And the dispensing opticians were uniformly excellent too.

Always a top class service. I have been coming to Leightons for 22years both in Old Town Swindon and in Cirencester. Very helpful. Good choice of frames and knowledgeable staff.

My appointment with Kris was great. He's exemplary. I found him thorough and informative whilst being extremely personable - 10/10!

I made a stupid mistake this morning and realised that I had left 1 hour earlier than I should have.On arrival in Cirencester I went straight to Leightons and explained my mistake.
