I was recently made redundant and decided I wanted to go through the optional settlement agreement avenue.

As part of the process a solicitor has to look through the agreement. I contacted Lewis Denley Solicitors and was fortunate to be put in contact with Polly Grieff who was amazing!
Very down to earth, friendly and instantly put me at ease.
Polly relayed all the information I required with clarity and accuracy.

I have recently been through the experience of being made redundant and can honestly say that Polly was great in providing support during a difficult time. Thanks to her help and advice, I was able to achieve a reasonable settlement and move on with my life. Polly was super responsive and happy to answer questions. I was recently selected for redundancy, and Polly was helpful in guiding me through the arguments as to why the selection process had been unfair, and helped me to write the right words to squeeze a better redundancy package (than the statutory amount, which was all they offered) out of my ex-employer.

We probably could have hung on for more and initiated a tribunal process, but to be honest I was glad to be done with it.

I'm so glad I chose them as they put me at ease right from the initial meeting. Gurpreet was the solicitor in charge of my Will and was so patient and understanding when I struggled to understand some of the legal terminology. She was happy to explain until I fully understood everything.

I worked with Lewis Denley for the first time to complete on property purchase that was not so straightforward. Nathaniel Colbran, who was the solicitor in charge, was very helpful and professional all through. He was very forthcoming with all the questions I had, took his time to go through everything I needed to know in detail. He kept me informed and updated all the way through. For a property of its size and complexity, Nathaniel was able to keep things smooth and simple which was a massive help for me.

I instructed Lewis Denley to complete a complicated purchase of land which was spreed over multiple titles. Heather Gaffney was the solicitor in charge, but her and her team continued to keep me updated.

The negotiations were further complicated by covenants on the land. Heather was able to explain theses to me and recommend additional ones to be added to protect my rights on purchasing the land.

We had a great experience using Lewis Denley for our recent house move. What appeared to be a straightforward chain unfortunately turned complicated at every turn but Heather and her team kept us up to date and at ease with regular updates and pushed really hard to get the move completed as quickly as possible despite unexpected obstacles and incompetence from other solicitors throughout the chain. We would happily recommend them to friends and family and will use them again in the future for any legal work we may need

Took over 5 months to start a simple conveyancing procedure. Only a name change on the registry was needed....no sale or purchase of houses....and this is supposed to be an experienced company??
The quote that was provided for the work was nowhere near the actual, much larger charges.
The company was suggested by Kreston Reeves, obviously not knowing about the poor service provided for straightforward tasks.
Would not recommend Lewis Denley at all.

If there was an option to leave no starts, I would use it. Save your money and time and do not use Lewis Denley Solicitors. Communication within the team is non-existent , with people asking for the same documents three or even four times before they check their own records or emails to see if they still need them. One staff member had annual leave and left another person in charge who had absolutely no idea on what planet she was and asked so many questions that we have already given an answer too. Then this person left too, meaning that I was sending emails to an account that was not being monitored. I was sending regular follow up emails, which were ignored. Emails from me remained unanswered even to this day after finally completing the sale, which put me in a position where I had to call to get an update and was told to 'stop calling, we are busy or else we will charge'. I have been told that we will be charged if we keep 'bothering them' although I have the right to know what is happening with my own house. Nevertheless, the work quality was so poor and even sent us wrong documents a couple of times. Our developers knew more about the next steps then we did when it was our house that we were buying.
