Excellent service from Chris at Lexus Preston
I’m Lexus driver over 20 years. I like NX450+. I talk to Chris at Lexus Preston who send me video clips and send him my car ES300H Takumi with digital mirrors. We negotiated the price, paid it in full and collected the car. I only saw this car physically on the day of collection. ES I bought from them in February 2022 I had not seen except on the collection day. I am very pleased with my experience. There were some minor hiccups but Chris sorted out professionally.
First class service
Lexus Guildford where I was looked after by Mr Martin Sears and from the moment I arrived at Lexus Guildford I was treated very well, staff asked if I would like help and I said give me a few mins to look around and then I asked to see a used NX350h and took it out for a test run and I was delighted with car and staff treatment, so I paid my deposit and sorted out a fair price for my PX car, then yesterday picked up my new car and all the staff I met at the Guildford Lexus were first class.
Great choice of cars and lovely staff and I’ve bought many different cars over the years and Lexus Guildford deserves 10 stars.

From hero to zero
As a driver of Lexus for over 20 years now, and currently on my 6th RX450h, I have extolled their virtues to friends and associates, converting at least 4 other people to the RX series in recent years.
I doubt I will be buying another. I’ll explain why…
Following a recent accident repair, two fault codes required investigation, revealing that only this particular vehicle (and I have had 4 of the phase 3 model and randomly checked a dozen others) has a relatively unique ‘hydraulic’ anti roll bar. Roll bar on just about every other roll bar fitted to mine and the random survey - £450. Cost of my discovered relatively unique ‘hydraulic’ anti roll bar - £11,500, twenty five times the cost. Even the dealership couldn’t believe it and re-checked 3 times.
Dissatisfied with the response from customer relations at head office, I wrote directly to the UK MD. He passed me back to customer relations who refused to help me find a solution, stating it was not their fault I had an accident. Very helpful…not! That closed the conversation.

Bought a 2019 Lexus 450H F Sport on…
Bought a 2019 Lexus 450H F Sport on 18/10/24. I was not informed in sales process that this vehicle required additional security measures to prevent theft. 36 hours later the vehicle was stolen exploiting the CANBUS weakness in these vehicles. Do not buy an approved used Toyota/ Lexus vehicle until you have researched the CANBUS security flaw in some of their vehicles.

Lexus UX
I bought a UX in 2020. I was very happy, but totally unaware that there is an issue with this model being stolen using a method called CANBUS. As it turns out, Lexus are very aware of this issue. They have even issued a fix for the RX model, but not for the NX or UX range. I got my car back, but every morning I wonder if the car has been stolen again from my front drive. For a luxury car brand, I find this lack of customer care to be unforgivable. When will a fix be issued for the NX and UX models?

Not what you expect from a so called luxury car company
Had trouble in past with Lexus but decided to give them another chance. Bad move! Ordered new LBX had various phone calls to and fro to Lexus Preston. Cancelled tax and insurance on our present car for delivery date of new car. One hour before expected delivery got phone call to say dash cams had not been fitted and they had "lost" the protection pack out of vehicle. For a so called luxury car company they are not good.

I would never recommend buying a Lexus! Never have I been so let down by a company and never have I paid over the odds for such a shoddy product or service. A catalogue of errors since day 1!!
Ordered a car to arrive back on 1st March 2022, new car day in the U.K. Before I had even left the dealership I noticed the paint was quite noticeably scratched and so were some of the side panels. I refused to take the car. Lexus dealer tried 3 times to polish out the scratched paint, but it was like the old saying goes “you can’t polish a turd”! Well they tried and they failed. Even sent to a detailer, car looked great, but two washes later (including a safe wash!) and exactly as I had predicted, the scratches were back. I was even told by the dealer that they “don’t recommend solid black as an colour as the paint is prone to scratches”!! Well, why was I not informed of this when I ordered the car!?! Never had any issues with black Audi, BMW or even an older Toyota (same company as Lexus) that I’ve had before!?!
After numerous protracted arguments they eventually agreed to change the car. I was due to have my new car on the 1st March 2023 - new car day UK! As that was how long it would take for my new car to be built, shipped and delivered. I agreed. Only it arrived, outside of the agreement we had made, in the November of 2022. I was pretty much bullied into taking the car they had in early December 2022 on a 72 plate and not to have my new car, as agreed, on the 1st March with a 23 plate.
Also, it had been registered in November 22 not December when I collected the car, so now I have had to pay additional car tax due to time lost and have had to have services earlier too!
And it’s service that’s let me down this time! I called to arrange a service, was told it’s a £520 fixed cost, but they were recommending an engine flush (never ever been told to have one of these by a dealer before) at an additional £50 cost (are their engines and the oil they put in them really that bad that I need such?), plus it would cost me another £50 to have the car collected - always a courtesy when I’ve had service from Mercedes, Audi, BMW previously! Even Lexus had done this previously!!
I asked if I was being charged extra for items that wouldn’t be required, for example, screen wash! Yes I was informed! But I don’t need screen wash!! My bottle is full already! However, they wanted to charge me for that too!! So how many other items am I being charged for that I don’t really need!?! Answer - it’s all part of our fixed price service! “But you could always go elsewhere”… errr, no, I can’t!! As if I go elsewhere, then I lose my warranty - as this is linked to Lexus servicing!! So they have you trapped and at their pricing mercy!! Never had that elsewhere either. I’ve previously used brand approved servicing companies at a more affordable price but still quality service within warranty parameters.
So, hope you found this useful. Apologies it’s a little bit of a rant, but I’ve just been consistently let down by Lexus!

WARNING WARNING …. Lexus NX 300 H 2021.On a par with Range Rover for easy 90 second theft via the near side wheel arch, which is the same in most Toyota/Lexus cars. I wrote to Toyota UK and they replied regarding these easy thefts are in part due to the war in…”UKRAINE” ! And yes they put that in writing. Even better my one was stolen this time last year. So today I called my Lexus Dealer who is also my service dept, about selling or trading up. Apparently because it was recorded as stolen they as a main dealer can’t touch it as it has a HPI on it. Even though I bought the car from them and the reason it was stolen is because of their rubbish car security. And have Toyota/Lexus sorted this out for their loyal customers “NO”, they like most car makers, ignore it until the court cases start. But there is a Law firm taking legal action for “Misselling” LEIGH DAY TOYOTA. Worth checking out. But apart from very easily stolen a kid could do it, this its a great car!

I spent an hour with Mohammad Aris, who showed me the NX models, provided a test drive, and was able to answer all my technical questions. Very professional, helpful and friendly. An asset to his company. I was impressed with the service and also with the Lexus NX. Thank you.
Awful experience at Coventry
I visited Lexus In Coventry with an appointment to test drive and hopefully acquire if all was to my satisfaction. Upon my arrival I was greeted by the Sales person and first asked to sit in a room with glass surrounds. Shortly after was asked to move to a room which has no glass surrounds and was unable to see what was happening outside.
The sales man then walks in and shortly after that the Manager walks in and talks to me about my car that I was trying to part ex. Quotes me a ridiculous price and then to add insult get the salesman to tell me that the car I was intending to test was being tested by another customer who arrived after me. The sales person then hastily arranged me to test drive another car in the same model variation. After we returned from the test drive I was told that the car was sold and if I wanted to place a deposit of £1000 to reserve another car at another dealership.
The Sales person then apologised but as it was getting late I left.
The manager was arrogant and giving me the usual sales patter to collect £1000.
This is not what I expected from a Lexus dealership.
Message to Covertry if you treat customers like this you will lose good potential customers. FYI I sold my Car that I was trying to part ex for almost 70% more than what quoted to me.

Terrible aftercare
After two weeks, my £3000 media unit was replaced, but I had to wait two months for a map update. Both parties eventually gave up, so I decided to pick up my car, only to discover they hadn't tested it after the repair, and the media unit wasn't fully functional.
After numerous trips to Kings Lynn (a two-hour round trip) and almost six months of my car being held by Lexus Kings Lynn, I was told that the only way forward was to wait an unknown amount of time for them to acquire a similar vehicle as a donor to replace the media unit again. One customer advisor informed me they had successfully done this before, but later, a manager said they weren't allowed to order a media unit for testing because they couldn't return already-fitted parts to stock. Which is the truth?
Unfortunately, it gets worse. The system wasn't updated or reinstalled, as they claimed they had no access to the software and had to 'copy' it from the donor vehicle. Can you believe it? I certainly can’t.
Additionally, my vehicle sustained paint damage from bird droppings that had been left on it for months. When I finally washed the car (yes, it was returned to me covered in droppings), the paint came off with it. To top it all off, I left the car with over a quarter tank of fuel, but it was returned with a range of just one mile left.
In summary: after six months and around £4000 in costs, my car is still unfixed, and I’m left waiting indefinitely for a resolution. Wow, Lexus—very professional and competent.
If there’s any progress with this case (which I doubt), I will update this review.

Lexus Cheshire Oaks terrible Sales, go somewhere else!
Called Lexus Cheshire Oaks today and spoke with a guy in sales. I had to email him my details as he didn’t have a pen. Wanted a valuation on my CT. Was rather negative and unhelpful. Was looking to spend nearly £35K on a UX but he wasn’t prepared to even discuss prices over the phone. He ended the call by suggesting I try another garage. Both myself and my husband have had Lexus cars for over 10 years and always found sales and aftercare from Preston and Liverpool outstanding. Definitely won’t be going anywhere near Lexus Chester again. Clearly he needs retraining!
