Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Evaluating 78 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many customers expressed frustration with frequent interruptions for app updates and memory clearing, which often occurred unexpectedly during programs. People found the user interface difficult to navigate, citing slow loading times for guides and applications, along with complicated and unresponsive remote controls. WARNING WARNING LG SHAMBOLIC COMPANY

WARNING WARNING
I bought and had a delivered from AO a new LG 65 inch TV on the 28th August. Because I was building a video wall the TV sat in the box until mid SeptemberI must point out AO have had numerous discussion with LG and have been first class. After 30 days if it develops a fault then the warranty is bounced to LG.
Fault 1 - the TV for no apparent reason would switch off automatically for a couple of seconds. After spending over 90 mins on the phone a technician based in the Philippines dialled in and fixed this fault.
Fault 2 - in addition to the fault above I reported that every now and again the picture would distort for a few seconds.
I sent them a picture of the fault and told them that all the other TV’s in the house were working fine and no picture issues.
I received a response from LG that they now wanted me to supply video evidence of the fault. As it’s an intermittent fault was I expected to set up a tripod and a camera. In a nutshell I told them no way was I carrying out their request.
What was very disturbing that the TV was only 6 weeks old and they were now seeking permission to video programmes.

Tried to watch the LG TV in my hotel…

Tried to watch the LG TV in my hotel room, biggest load of junk I have had the displeasure to TRY and use. You have this uncontrollable cursor that is beyond belief. Just trying to get BBC 1 is harder than most video games. I have Samsung at home, piece of cake to use, I wouldn’t have an LG as a free gift.

Te least intuitive tv i have…

Te least intuitive tv i have experienced. Determined to show its own channels at any cost. Would never advise anybody to purchase an LG tv.
Attempts to find regular UK channels are impossible until you find them buried away.
DO NOT BUY AN LG TV...

100% would NOT recommend.

100% would NOT recommend.

You need to download an app exclusive to LG to download other apps in order to play from a device (if they play. can only reliably cast YouTube and Netflix from a device)

Loaded with stock LG apps that you mostly can't remove.

Always the option to play an advertisement, generally on top of the list of all apps. So you'll accidentally click on this consistently.

Currently going through an issue where it's losing its connection to the internet, so I'm watching Netflix on a phone, tablet or Laptop cause my LG TV fails to do it's one job, where these other devices work.

Depending on how you play a video, a commercial break could just stop the video and start playing a different video entirely.

The quality of the TV and image is fine. But when you have options for AI, Market Places and Game Optimization when you can't even get the basic usability satisfactory, you messed up.

LG TV's

Each time I select a programme to view my new LG TV the programme is nearly finished by the time I get the right channel. What is wrong with LG have they no idea how to manufacture a TV that works properly. I spent £900 it's the worst investment I've ever made. It's total rubbish.

Poor TV poor customer service

Only had TV six months and already there is a horizontal line showing up on the screen. Tried all the YouTube fixes and nothing. Although it is well within warranty, Support has been not helpful and the worst. Do not buy these TVs. I am going back to Sony Bravia.

Should Always read reviews first

I wish I had read these reviews before buying a new TV.
We had our last LG TV approx 10 years.
Was a very good experience and we loved the Magic Remote with the curser.
That was the basis on buying another LG (UH77 50")
This will be the last LG we ever buy.
Talk about Slowwww!
I could make dinner in the time it takes to load anything 🙄
Buy another brand, any brand, just not this one!!

We purchased a LG webOS TV QNED8ITSA Smart TV from Harvey Norman about 3 months ago and we can say it is the worst TV we have purchased, the remote response is terrible, it take minutes to change apps, screens and more often than not will just lock up and we have to turn it off and log in again

Bought 2017 and pictures freeze.…

Bought 2017 and pictures freeze and stutter and then catches up, streaming Netflix, Disney but also normal terrestrial tv. Remote also sluggish and unresponsive at times. TV also reboots itself at times. Also the WiFi connection cannot find any network. LG won’t repair as over 6 years now - probably don’t have the parts and fob you off to a third party, who probably also can’t get the parts. These things just don’t last much beyond 5 years.
Got a Panasonic plasma going 15 years strong and it just works. Never by an LG again.

Shockingly poor customer service

Shockingly poor customer service. I only bought my quite expensive LG OLED TV 6 months ago and i'm well within warranty. Really unhelpful and incompetent call centre staff who just want to get rid of you.

Horrid, useless updates, don't buy

My LG is 2 years old and it's been updated today.
twice my WiFi has dropped, checked speed and my phone gets 125mb no problem, this tv however is a nightmare.
Every update brings new issues.
Please save your money and buy another brand especially as it wasn't cheap.
My 5 year old Philips is still amazing and causes no problems.
LG tvs are horrible, wish I hadn't purchased.
Save your money and please buy another brand.

It freezes

It freezes, loses chosen channels, and has no updates.
I hate how complicated it is to connect it to wifi.
I hate the silly pointer remote that's never in the right place.
I hate the silly design of the physical remote control that you can't put down without it wobbling over.

The picture is good. And the stand it sits on is good because it will fit on a smaller tv unit/surface
Otherwise it's too annoying.
I won't ever buy another lg

Not as smart as they promised

Bought the latest ‘award winning’ OLED 42 C4 4L model.
Now spent two days without success in resolving the non downloading user agreements error.
Tried all the YouTube fixes. Finally spoke to product support and was told it needs up-to 48hrs to reset itself, then call back if it doesn’t….
Not the user experience I was expecting from LG

No more LG purchases for me

These chaps would not entertain a repair of my TV eventhough it was damaged within the warranty of the TV. Very disappointed with the service. Wont ever be buying any LG products again.
