I just up and left with both my disabled children absolutely Disgusting behaviour from a grown adult let alone a so called manger of your team in my eyes should be Sacked I will let people know in future you are not disability friendly Disgusting! 18 months old requiring a ticket! Ridiculous
We come here all the time and love this cinema however now my child is now 2 she can be a bit of handful for sitting still sometimes so we booked the Loungers at the very front so she can get up and down without disturbing anyone else, we was telling the staff and the ticket screen this to be told that we now need to purchase a ticket for her as she is over the age of 18 months! I was surprised as we’ve never been told about this before and it’s no where on their website when booking tickets, every others cinema, theme parks even Disneyland are free for under 3s due to the fact that they don’t need a seat and I wouldn’t expect her to need one being so young, I was disgusted that they expect a 18 months old to require a seat it’s absolutely ridiculous! We won’t be coming here from now on as the family ticket doesn’t allow for more the 2 children and it’s now more expensive due to this very silly rule
Don't waste your time or ruin your evening
I brought my son to the cinema. As I wasn't able to prove his age I was rudely refused entry. They advised that I get a driving licence for him, to which he stated that from 15 years and 3 months you can get a licence. This is incorrect its 15 years and 9 months. The tone was utterly vile from the staff. I then opted for a different film to which we were allowed entry. Whilst sitting They came in to check that we were in the right film, I've never been so insulted. Going that but further to Bluewater or Rochester will be worth the drive!
Great Venue and easy, close parking.
I’ve visited The Light several times over the last 3 months. It’s a great venue. There is a good mix of things to do, in a pleasant environment. The colleagues are friendly and very helpful. I’m impressed by how clean and cared for the surroundings are. There is a good choice of restaurants adjacent to The Light.
Great venue alongside the canal!

As nice as the cinema is (because it’s brand new), the parking is great, very central. However, customer service is poor. Basically disinterested teenagers/ young adults.
If you compare the cinema to the Everyman in Stratford, the customer service is extremely low. Please train your staff to engage with customers and give the impression they care.
Terrible
Terrible, Don’t go. Had a meal booked and food that bad it was non edible. Meet like rubber. Left for bowling and the staff were rude, unhelpful and selfish. Brandon who was bar staff was completely unprofessional, vaping and drinking on shift behind bar. Wouldn’t even serve people who had hardly drunk, Brandon I think you need to get another job.
Live chat is so slow
Live chat is so slow, i think they must be talking to several people at once. Took over 20 minutes to sort my problem out, 5 minutes in between wait after each question
Online chat help
I needed help booking 7 tickets as the online automated system didn’t want me to leave a single seat in a row free. I’m pleased to say that I simply chatted to an online operative, they understood the problem, and blocked the single seat so I could book the 7 I required. It all worked very well.
Excellent kids party in Banbury
Had a fantastic crazy golf party at the Light in Banbury. The staff were all very accommodating, even providing some dairy free food which we hadn't ordered up front. Delicious food, lots of fun, and great service. Thanks everyone!
Absolutely horrible
Absolutely horrible, turned away for our 17 and 18 year olds looking too young for a 15 film, won't return again
No Audio description for the blind not always working
Took my blind mother to Stockport from Buxton to see the new Elvis film which she was really looking forward to listening too with the help of AD.
When we arrived we were informed it was not working .This has happened to us twice now on the four times of visiting.
Surely this should not be happening in this day and age .Please do not offer this service to blind people if it cannot be provided as the disappointment is very upsetting
The Light Cinema Banbury disabled access
The Light Cinema Banbury : We are appalled at the disabled access. You are directed to the north car park with no concessions for Blue badges(unlike other car parks in Banbury) , then there is a very long walk to the Light entrance. It would have been very easy to have arranged for a disabled drop off at the service road adjacent to the Light entrance, yet even the short flight of steps there have been fenced off. When in side we find the escalator and the lift were not working and it was only with help from the attendants who took us op/down in the service lift we were able to see the film. Clearly as it is a new build there are still a lot of things to be sorted out by the management especially regards disabled access, that has not been thought out well.
Amazing 7th birthday bowling party
A huge thank you to the brilliant team at The Light in Sittingbourne for making my daughter's birthday so special today. All the children enjoyed the bowling and the food was excellent.
Beth went out of her way to make sure that our daughter and her friends had everything they needed. She decorated the diner and arranged the cakes, even letting them use the chill out area to open her presents. She introduced the birthday girl to the chef's and gave her credit for the arcades.
For the adults in the group the additional food ordered was also delicious. I hope many of her friends go on to book a party, I will certainly be recommending it. It's such great value and the service and attention to detail was excellent.

We had three lanes of bowling, arcade credits and food for a joint birthday party. Everything was great but special mention to Bethany who did a fantastic job of looking after us. She was brilliant.
