You cannot return if installed and that's ridiculous for a light fixture because it can't be determined as working or not until installed. And it's not working, it's very dim despite several wattage bulbs tried. It smells bad as well. The customer service agent was nice but seem to take pride in saying that's been their ridiculous return policy for 14 years. The craftsmanship looks like a high schooler got a C minus on the art project...thick sloppy lines, uneven pattern, juat shoddy stained glass work. Very disappointed and expected better for $250.

I purchased four outdoor lighting fixtures (Elk) for $600. They look great. HOWEVER, the largest unit was clearly repackaged with broken Styrofoam, no connector plate, mismatched screws and no side glass panels. The item wasn't damaged in transit - it was KNOWINGLY shipped incomplete. Lighting New York quickly responded, and within one day confirmed I would get a new replacement fixture. However, when I asked about the cost of my purchasing the replacement accessories and having to reinstall the fixture myself, I was told that their liability ends with the replacement fixture. This was third-party contractor work that cost me money. And they just didn't care. The staff was professional and responsive, but the message sucked.

Chat support was excellent. After I explained what I was looking for the representative emailed me a link that I was able to use to confirm the item and order it.

The information is very well presented on the web site. However the web site is so slow to the point of being painful and almost causing me to quit the transaction at several point in the process.

Ive used LNY several times before. I had to return a lighting fixture bc it was incompatible w a slopped ceiling ----- no problem!

Ordered 3 outdoor lanterns in June, and are so happy with them! They're SO beautiful and put out a perfect amount of light. Recently, I ordered 2 more for the back of the house, and mistakenly ordered the LED version instead of the incandescent ones. I contacted them for a return and they quickly sent a Fedex label to print, so we'll ship them back, and I've ordered the correct lanterns. Hopefully they will arrive as quickly and in perfect shape as my last orders.

Found the exact replacement for a landscape light, purchased in 2012, that no longer worked. Also, was able to talk to representative about ordering replacement bulbs.
