We recently purchased Sir Walter Buffalo DNA Certified turf. While it’s too early to comment on how well the lawn will establish, we were very satisfied with the sales and delivery experience. The turf arrived in great condition and the process was handled professionally.

Unfortunately, the after-sales service did not live up to the same standard. Despite allowing for a margin in our measurements and carefully laying every piece—including all offcuts—we were left with a small section (less than 1 m2) uncovered. When we contacted customer service to find a solution, the helpful attitude we experienced prior to delivery was nowhere to be found.

Instead of offering a practical or flexible solution, we were told to purchase more turf and collect it ourselves, which would involve over two hours of travel for a single piece. Even though we were willing to pay for the turf, they refused to deliver it unless we paid an additional delivery fee (which is $220 for orders under 15m2)– even when we offered to pay for the turf and wait until their next delivery in our area (rather than requesting a special trip).

We had hoped for a more customer-friendly and flexible approach, especially given the quality of service up to the point of delivery. Sadly, the poor after-sales response diminished the overall experience. What started off as a 5-star service drops to 3 stars based on this.

Delivery very good, only issue was a few slabs had little or no earth.

The team at Lilydale Lawn sent their Husqvarna expert out to find and repair the underground wiring for my robot mower recently. My yard is a complicated one with lots of circles and corners so this was like finding a needle in a haystack. After 6.5 hours Adam successfully got it going, finding 2 areas that needed repair. One of those was a diy repair of mine and one was tree root damage. I could not have done this ever and am thankful that Adam was so committed to resolving this and so happy that Elise arranged the visit quickly and gave me assurance that it could be fixed!
Makes mowing my messy backyard and front yard a treat once again. Thanks Elise and Adam at Lilydale Lawn!

Website ordering was down but got excellent service on the phone call to order the turf. Communication great. The truck delivery tracking app was not just brilliant but lots of fun to follow the truck's location in real time. Delivery/drop off went well. I ordered 100+ sq metres which was delivered on three pallets. Two of the pallets had excellent turf. The other was no so good, areas of soil missing underneath and roots fully exposed. Had to lay it by packing extra soil underneath by hand in those places. Fortunately I ordered 3% more than I calculated as a safety margin so the worst pieces weren't needed. Still 4 stars, overall quite happy.

Very helpful from ordering over the phone the sales person was very knowledgeable about the products available to suit the soil type on Phillip Island. And on pick up everything was ready to go.

As a landscaping business we have not even bothered going elsewhere for our turf.
What keeps us coming back is the great communication, friendly staff and prompt delivery times.
Not too mention the show bag with gloves, 'keep off grass' signs and fertiliser, win win!
