I was shopping for my daughter's new apartment and wanted to buy her glasses and silverware. Within 20 minutes, I was at the cash checking out! It was the most amazing experience, as the staff not only helped me, they engaged me. I was so pleased that I had to hug both the manager and my salesperson, as I not only got the most magnificent pieces but at the best prices. It is a great place to shop, the staff are like family and really understand the customer.
Kudos to Vincenza (sales) and Hourig, the manager. I will be forever grateful, and I'm sure that my daughter will be too! Congratulations, you are a first-class operation!

Wish I had read reviews first. Ordered towels, expensive towels and facecloths.I washed them before use as instructed and the loop/fluff all over laundry floor and bathroom floor. Returned to store, first time called before coming and was told oh that shouldn't happen.when I got there a cockamamy story about oh you washed them can't return them, I said but they're damaged. Clerk says that happens with first 2 washes then it stops. There were gaps in the towel but she wouldn't look, stated that above my pay grade speak with manager. She stated oh that happens up to 4/5 washes. I may have no towels left by then.She says to bring them in, but I'm older with no car and I'm tired of running back and forth.The towels are stacked from floor to ceiling and I believe they are shop worn. They were on sale when I returned the first time Black Friday Special, it was the first of November. Expensive lesson for me, I will NEVER return, they are rude, condescending. Believe me save your money, not good service or product

I ordered some 'high end' sheets from Linen Chest which were regular priced $250 on sale for $99. They had super high reviews (4.8/5) for thousands of people. I also purchased some flanel sheet sets. When they arrived, I opened the sheet set and they were not as advertised.
The sheets had runs in them and were see through and more the quality of a $40 pair of sheets, not $250. False advertising. I contacted the company via the return centre and email (there is no phone number on their site) to request a return. I have sent a followup email but have heard nothing and this was 7 days ago. Don't waste you time and money with this company as regardless of the issue the customer has to pay reverse shipping (according to their site).
I am hoping they see this review and contact me as I wish to return but a customer is not allowed to return until it is approved by Linen Chest.

I ordered dishes and couple of them were broken. Sent picture of them to customer service, 3 weeks no reply. Sent two more emails no reply. Not happy, should of checked reviews before ordering from this company.

My mother has been a loyal client of Linen Chest for many years. When I would visit Ottawa, we would often go together, so I was excited to place an order for several items for our new home, thinking that the customer service would be exceptional.
My goodness, how wrong I was.
I will never purchase from Linen Chest again, I’ll be advising my mother of my experience, and consider yourself “advised,” as well.
When my order arrived yesterday, I pulled out one item and thought to myself, “I really don’t think this is what I ordered.” I went back to review the order I had placed and, sure enough, the item delivered was not the one ordered.
I immediately reached out to Linen Chest via email about the situation. Keep in mind that Linen Chest also has no customer service # to call, no one to speak to. You’re essentially at the mercy of a (painfully slow) email response, and people on the other end who clearly are not solutions-oriented and have no regard for customer service.
Here was their response, in a nutshell:
“Oops. Our bad. Send it back to us [read: please waste your time], and once we have it back in our possession, we’ll send you the correct item. But also your return window is limited, as per our return policy. Ha ha. Joke is on you, silly customer.”
This isn’t customer care. Putting the onus on a customer to make things right isn’t how you do business. It’s not my responsibility to oversee that Linen Chest packages and delivers the correct items in an order. And it’s certainly not my responsibility to make things right.
Shop here if you must, but I highly recommend taking your home furnishing needs elsewhere.
Also, I hope this review costs Linen Chest a WHOLE LOT MORE than the measly $41+ tax it would have cost them to remedy their error (and, in turn, have a repeat customer).

I do not understand why their online chat does not work. its very frustrating order placed on Sept 30th was supposed to ship out today... now its Oct 6 so I see its a similar situation where it can be postponed again and again and forever in processing!! very disappointing. I have been trying to contact since sept 30th with no responses to emails.. just stated they have received it like a computer generated response. I was charged 9.99 for shipping and it said on website free shipping on all orders over 75$ and my order was 89.99$ before tax!! Now to add insult the blanket is at 79,99 and there is no phoning for linen chest they never answer and it takes forever to resolve anything. last time i never even received my shipment but they did credit it but it took OVER a month. now again... im a disappointed client. It wont happen again. Amazon has amazing quality and amazing customer service. Linen chest should hire more!!

Original order: Sept 15ish
- Estimated shipping date went from Sept to Oct to Nov (!)
- This isn’t some tiny retailer, they have physical stores in malls, why would it take that long
- When I emailed them saying I want to cancel the order if they’re not going to ship it right away, instead of replying, they just moved the shipping date from mid-November to early October
- when I checked today, the shipping date has been changed again to mid-Oct
There is a reason companies like this are losing customers to Amazon, and it’s not because I love the latter soooooo muuuch

This Company is completely out of touch on how to treat their employees in 2023! They pay their sales people minimum wage or slightly more and the employees only get 30 minutes lunch break on an 8 hour shift. The employees are expected to clean the bathrooms too! Very Old School

Very bad experience! Everything is too expensive and the after-sales service is non-existent. No response or help from a call and store visit made over 2 weeks ago.
I bought motorized blinds with them. It's a mistake... because of their bad follow-up and help when it brakes!

Update. Finally heard back after I posted the review below, three weeks after my original request. They offered me a credit only referring to their return policy, which is not what is stated on their website. Very disappointed.
Have reached out twice to the company regarding a defective item. It has been over two weeks and have not heard back at all.

I placed an order for a duvet cover. I noticed somehow I was charged for two. I tried to cancel my order, but the person I was chatting with said that it was too late to cancel. It had already shipped out. The next day I received an email that they had just shipped my items. So, I could have canceled the order. It had not shipped yet. This is deceitful on their part. My ordeal was not over yet. I was not home when they tried to deliver my order. I contacted the company and they said they would deliver it the next day. Didn’t happen. Called them again and they said it was being sent back to Linen Chest. They didn’t wait the 5 day hold. The courrier company they use is Canpar. They have a one star rating. So, I have nothing and now have to wait for my refund, whenever that will be. My advice is to NOT order online from Linen Chest. I have never come across a company that could so care less about their customers

I placed an order for bed sheets 5 weeks ago. When I placed the order the ETA was 1 - 3 weeks. As indicated I am on week 5 and counting, it seems. I tried to contact their Customer Care team. The first encounter was with a chat bot where I didn't receive any different information regarding ETA except 1 - 3 weeks. I asked to speak with an agent. I waited 8+ hours - no one ever came online. Sent a message through their Contact Us form. No response this way either.
Ok I can be realistic - the sheets aren't going to show up. Time to cancel my order and move on, only can't cancel the order online have to do it with Customer Care, who so far have been unresponsive. They however, are excellent at sending emails since I probably get 3 - 5 promotional emails from them a week.
They have my name, address and credit card information, so it is a bit unnerving.

been a customer for a while and usually haven't had an issue with the products - can't deny though, everything is pretty overpriced.
wouldn't have felt the need to leave a review if it weren't for the horrendous customer service. I received a damaged item in the mail and have reached out to the company multiple times within a two-week period with no response. with the store's return policy, I have a feeling I will end up having to keep unwanted/ damaged items.
if you're thinking of shopping online with linen chest, I would avoid the hassle.
ignoring your customers completely doesn't merit anything above one star.

I had purchased plates sets online from their site. While opening one of the boxes, I had seen a big crack in one of the plates. I took a picture and send them a message waiting for their response. I waited two weeks then sent return request which is still not approved till now. Everyday I receive many emails about their deals, which I will unsubscribe very soon. They are such a scam. Overpriced items, zero costumer service, and a very low quality items. I am very surprised as a new costumer, I thought they are similar to Homesense, winners maybe or any other decent company but they are not. I will never recommend them to anyone and I will never buy again. 👎🏻

The manager Janice was so pushy and loud and rude. I have 30 days to return a product. I only got it last week. The manager (Janice) acted like she didn't want me to return it because she would lose her commission. Even the girls behind the counter looked embarrassed when she spoke to me rudely. She actually said, "Didn't I tell you this (product) would last you all year?" I was thinking "Who are you to tell me what product is good for me and what is not?" Terrible service. I notice the people here are very sales driven/sometimes pushy and obviously they are all working on commission.

The company advertises "free shipping over $99 in Canada" however, if you are over 200km from their store, they consider you to be "remote" and add a $20 shipping fee to your order. I do not live in a remote area and receive free shipping (above a certain spend amt) from all other major stores via Canada Post and UPS, but because there is not a store within 200 km of me, they consider me to be "remote". This is not disclosed until you are about to check out. Even when checking on their shipping details page, there is zero mention of the requirement of being within 200 km of a store to qualify for free shipping, which is what you are told if you speak to someone through their online chat. This came as a surprise, as I have ordered from this company before (2020/2021) and at the time I was not charged the extra for being in a remote area. When I mentioned this, blame was placed on the shippers, however the responsibility of being transparent (or failing to be!) falls on Linen Chest. If there is going to be a charge, so be it, but don't advertise free shipping within Canada and then only offer it to the people who could pick it up in store for free anyway! This bait and switch technique is not fair to Canadian customers trying to support a Canadian company!

These days that service is hard to find we had a nice surprise when we went to Linen Chest in Kirkland. Ellen the manager gave us the most amazing service. She went out of her way to make sure we found what we were looking for and called other stores to track our curtains down. It’s rare to find someone who makes it their mission to ensure that her customer is satisfied. Linen Chest should know what an asset she is!

I wish a word existed in the English language that might possibly express the depths of our frustration regarding an ongoing issue we are enduring with the Linen chest location at CF Fairview Pointe Claire QC.
Sadly to my knowledge one does not exist.
In late April we bought a chair from them, and were promised delivery in five days time.
MANY false promises later, after our daughter lost a day’s pay waiting for a promised delivery that never came, after spending the better part of of a day on the phone trying to find exactly where our order might be, after waiting for promised updates that never occurred, after being GUARANTEED concrete information from an associate on a day it transpired she knew that she would not be at work (!)… here we are in June with no chair.
I am going to refrain from naming the associate we have been dealing with since day one, a manager no less, but her level of incompetence is truly staggering.
Apparently it now seems, if we were to take Linen Chest at their word, the item we bought and paid for back in April will NOT be in stock until the month of August!
I am disinclined to accept yet another fallacious statement from these folks.
Just off the phone, once more, with the store in Pointe Claire only to be offered a full refund on our purchase.
Small compensation that, given the string of lies, blunders, and loss of wages my family has incurred through the course of this incredibly miserable interaction.
The Linen Chest has left us frustrated, angry, disheartened, and put us in a position that we now have to scramble to fulfill promises we have made to our daughter.
It would be no exaggeration on our part to say we have made our last purchase from these individuals. Sad really, because we have bought a lot from them in the past and liked their product line.

Shopped at their mid-town Toronto location. Prices were reasonable. Some sale items were low on stock. We purchased 1/2 of quantity we required & sales associate said to purchase the additional sets and they would notify us when available to pick up. 5 months later, no notifications so we asked to cancel the outstanding orders and we would like a refund. Now have to return to store to cancel presold items and receive a refund. If it's not in stock, do NOT purchase from this retailer. Terrible customer experience.
