If I could give a zero, I would! This is the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. How can we even support this company and buy Canadian if it’s to deal with that type of service. I’ve been trying to reach out to someone since January 6th. Weeks later, no one got back to me. I purchased an item last month, which I never received. Just the fact that I wasn’t able to speak to. Real person speaks volume on the care they have for their customers. Worst company ever !

Would give zero stars if I could. Ordered online on Dec 26 and soon received a shipping notice telling me the order had been picked up Jan 5 with delivery estimated for the next day. Since then, nothing. Have had requests to customer service, via the bot on the website, escalated three times and have yet to have anyone contact me. Linen chest has had my money for over three weeks and I have no order or any sense the company cares about its customers.

Do not buy if you expect customer service. We want to shop Canadian but they do not deserve our business if they can't offer customer service. Absurd that I can chat or speak to a real person at Amazon within second but Linen Chest have no phone customer service and their chat feature does all it can to prevent you speaking to a real person and they don't respond to emails. Refunds they've agreed to take over 3 weeks. Simply this business does not deserve to exist

Order placed with Linen Chest, delivered by the carrier Canpar.
Both packages were left on the porch of my building, directly on the street, in downtown Montreal, without signature or protection, while I wasn’t home. Canpar even has photo proof of delivery. When I returned, the packages had vanished, poof, gone, like magic.
After contacting Canpar, I was then referred back to Linen Chest then I was told that leaving packages in the street is “not their policy,” only to discover that, apparently, this is standard practice, as an employee from Linen Chest told me when I explained the situation: “Is it with Canpar?”
Despite multiple attempts with Linen Chest:
- Customer service is limited to a useless chatbot, which seems to think ignoring me counts as “help.”
- Claim submitted with no follow-up whatsoever, I guess that’s their definition of efficiency.
- Email submitted to "info" linen chest email with all the information, still no answer after weeks.
- Two visits to a store branch: first, an internal request was opened with a promised callback that never came; second, I waited an hour to see a manager, who left without meeting me or offering any solution.
To date, no packages, no refund, no resolution. I’m starting to think “customer service” is just a mythical concept here.
Linen Chest presents itself as a proudly Quebecois company. As a Quebecois, I’m embarrassed by the image this service projects elsewhere in Canada.

CAN'T GET HOLD OF A REAL HUMAN CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE.
My order was promised to be shipepd in 1-7 business days. Almost DOUBLE of that has already passed and zero updates were provided from Linen Chest. To make matters worse, it's basically impossible to reach out to them. No phone number and no chat option (it just keeps defualting to the AI bot).

After reading all the bad reviews it does not look good for me to complain.
I received no refund on my MC gift card purchase. just a store credit. Should be a refund back on the card . On the back of the original receipt it says refunds to be same payment method. Store says no, its company policy to give store credit only. I only spent $36.44. What if i spent $500 from a gift card would I only be entitled to store credit.? Seems like a bad situation for me and a good one for you. Why would I go back there.

I placed an order over 6 weeks ago. The order confirmation e-mail indicated the anticipated shipping date. The item did not ship by that date despite my credit card being charged immediately. The online live chat service is completely unhelpful, and I have been unable to reach anybody through phone or e-mail despite trying multiple times.
I have completed all of the steps listed in the response below, to no avail. There is no live chat option- it is always a bot, and my e-mail to the address below containing all information requested has not been replied to.

I visited the Pinecrest Mall store for bedding a few other items. Boxing Day sales prices were very good. I had help from someone on the floor (Diana was her name, I believe). She was excellent - very helpful, knowledgeable and really tried to help me find what I wanted. I've seen very poor customer service there in the past so I was particularly impressed by my experience with this salesperson. The young woman on cash was also lovely. One of the items I found was on sale but nobody could find a price for it so that whole experience took a while. Eventually the manager was called and figured it out.

I ordered a grating machine along with other items. Because I was in the middle of moving, I didn’t open the box right away. When I finally did, I discovered that the machine was clearly used—scratched, damaged, and even had food particles inside. This was completely unacceptable. I have never experienced anything like this before. I strongly recommend staying away and purchasing your kitchen products elsewhere. I will definitely not be purchasing anything from here ever again.

It’s been two weeks since I requested a return for a damaged sheet set and never heard from them except automated emails saying “in the queue”.
I live in the west coast where they don’t have stores for you to try to return so I’m stuck with AI emails, and since there is no free return policy even if the item is damaged, it’s pretty much a gamble shopping there. Sad because I wanted to support Canadian companies but this is one has really bad to non-existent customer service and awful return policy.
(The sheets were the bamboo ones that I actually had and was buying a second set, they came bathed in perfume, like immediately triggered my allergies and I didn’t even took it out of the plastic. I would have to wash at least 3x trying to get rid of the perfume, the first set I bought didn’t have any smell.)
Edit: my husband managed to talk to a human and they accepted the return (as an exception). I just wish the return process wasn’t so hard, why don’t they just sell everything as final sale and priced as final sale? That’s a solution for companies that don’t want to deal with returns and it’s more honest and upfront.

Same issues as everyone else. Shipping from online is extremely slow. Purchased a clearance priced item Christmas morning and I guess no one bothers to pull it off the shelves as I know for a fact the inventory was there but now I get notified by automated email the inventory is being searched and moved for store pickup. I won’t hold my breath.
Went to the Ottawa Iris street store early November and had a poor experience including some male employee shouting “let’s move along!” At the cash area about 5 minutes before closing time. Sent in a email complaint but no answer 4 weeks later. Sent same email again but still 2 weeks later— no answer - just an automated reply. Not sure what’s going on with this store honestly. It’s sad cuz ppl want to support Canada retail. They reply to comments on this platform but they seem pretty generic and don’t see evidence of improvement!
Will have to rethink shopping there I guess cuz it’s apparently a family owned business and clearly the leadership don’t give a crap.

If they want people to have ID to pick up their online orders at the store, it would be nice if they said so in the confirmation email, instead of waiting to say so in person, and refusing to give someone their items. Cancelling an online order should also be much simpler, instead of the ridiculous goose-chase they send you on.

Out of desperation, I am leaving this review here. I am beyond disappointed and disgusted with this company. I have tried communicating with them via email and phone, but just like every review has stated, there is no customer service number to speak to. I paid for a gift card on December 13 that was supposed to be sent by email to a close friend for her birthday. What was supposed to be an instant transaction is now over five days late. No gift card, just a confirmation number that even the chat box can’t help with. I will give just one more day, and then I will dispute the charge with my bank and be done with this company. This is especially disappointing for me because I have been a long-time customer who buys all my bedding from them and has recommended them to friends.

I saw a large item I was interested in at the Dartmouth location, but I wasn’t from the Dartmouth area, so I ordered the item online for delivery. Once my order was confirmed I realized it was not going to reach my home for the date I required. I contacted the store and they could not have been more helpful. They helped me cancel my online order the next day and honoured the online coupon code I used for the original purchase. Two of the staff assisted me by taking the item to my car for me. Very friendly and knowledgable staff.

I can’t even give them a one star. Sheets were damaged and poor quality. The chatbot was useless. Requested a refund and they sent me a new sheet. They didn’t even read the conversation I had with the bot. I will never buy from this company again. Plus I will let everyone I know not to buy from this company. No business ethics at all.

Worst company ever. No customer service, no updates, no information. I placed an order on November 28 and still haven’t received it. I also never received any email informing me of a new delivery date, even though it was supposed to arrive on December 1. It’s impossible to speak to a real person, and when I call the store, they tell me to use their online bot, which is shit and useless. I will never shop there again

I placed an online order with Linen Chest on Nov. 20, 2025. The order was divided into 2 shipments both delivered by Canpar. The first shipment arrived missing 9 out of 10 items
The second shipment arrived and both items were damaged. I immediately filed reports on the ChatBot and followed up with emails. As mentioned by previous reviewers, Linen Chest does not have a live customer service agent or phone number you can call for assistance. To date, the company has made no effort to connect with me to resolve these issues despite repeated efforts on.my part. Truly the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I will be connecting with my cc company regarding a charge back.
