After less-than-pleasant experiences with a few of the "big names" in the DNA testing business, I was unprepared for the sterling level of service I received from Living DNA during multiple interactions with them, via email and live chat. Live chat with a real knowledgeable person (who actually has answers!) at the company? Absolutely. Friendly responses, fast solutions, and answers to every possible question I had? Yes! And when it comes to their solutions, affordable prices without cutting corners on features or quality? That's the third gold star, and they've earned it with flying colors. Needless to say, I'm recommending them every chance I get. I've been doing genealogy research since 1991, and Living DNA is my favorite by far when it comes to DNA testing.

Clare really know how to explain how to navigate the Livingdna site. She helped me understand how to get to the Haplogroup area!! Now I understand more about my mother's side of my family.
Keep up the good work Clare!!

Have rx new kit and am very satisfied. It's quite possible that the error was on my part and I missed the request for the address verification. This is a wonderful company and the 3rd time my family has used them for DNA testing. I would use them anytime in the future. My apologies to the company for this misunderstanding.

Really your single day choice for any event is odd. My experience took place over a few weeks.
I ordered a test and it showed up. Fairly mundane until a balky and incorrigible computer program initiated an unwelcome visit to a Dante’s Inferno of 0’s and 1’s behaving in unmanageable and vindictive ways.
A couple of times I said “This is CRAP!” And refused to continue.
Well I have made over 200 movies and taught university I should have some patience but not enough for “this is a very unusual event” comment from the DNA folks.
One employee that I know of (more I’m sure) helped and did not rest until the Gordon Knot was severed.
Clare stands as a shining example of the human spirit to not give up until the job is done.
Now I look forward to ordering more products and enjoying the discoveries. Thank you Clare.

I reached out to Living DNA because I was told by a Youtuber that if I was an Ancestry.com subscriber, I would be able to simply send over my file and get a more detailed background. It's definitely true. I was thoroughly pleased with Living DNA. I have a better understanding of where I'm from.

I received a reply to my query in less than an hour, which given the number of users I assumed it would take a day or two. Thank you very much for your quick and helpful response.

I was puzzled by some of the DNA results that I received from Living DNA. It turned out the problematical results were caused by an error that I had made. I uploaded the incorrect file. Clare at Living DNA was wonderful in helping me resolve the issue. She was patient, understanding and quick to respond. Clare consulted with experts on the staff to further illuminate the problem. In short, her support was outstanding!

Living DNA response to my emails queries were very quick, and the information given very easily understood.
I wasn't sure what to expect from Living DNA as far as my results go, but was happy with what I saw, and although I have only sent a few letters out to some of my DNA matches, I have got an appreciation of how the system works. So in response to my experiences so far, the suggestion I would put back to Living DNA, are you able to put with the DNA matches I have, some surnames of the people from that DNA matches Family Tree. This would give the me, the researcher, an idea who is in that Tree and what side of my Family that DNA match might be on. This information might have to be obtained from Living DNA members at the time of joining, or each member has the option to upload this information to this site at a later time.
This may have the effect that the Researching Member may not need to send an email out to each possible DNA match, just to determine what side of the Family Tree that DNA match might be. This may help to make quicker DNA matches to the surnames you are researching in your Family Tree.
Kind regards - Ray Osborne - New Zealand

Totally inaccurate results. This has just been a complete waste of time and money and for what can only be described as a tiny amount of information anyway. Took a test with Ancestry at the same time and I could see straightaway that their results were accurate, pinpointing exactly my English results to the North West of England, with 43% to Scotland and a small percentage to Northern Ireland. LivingDNA have ignored Scotland and the North West of England completely and randomly split the English results into the rest of England. Feels almost like they've been analysing someone else's DNA.

Livingdna.com has some of the broadest and deepest results of a half dozen enterprises. Livingdna.com has some great ideas. However, I think that the coverage page and the Autosomal page, could be smoothed out. The political nation-state borders, could be altered, to a more cultural/ social environs, depiction. The maps of political states of the different countries, look a bit too artificial. If you think that any of the political nation-state borders, help us clientele, to identify countries, that is not bad. However, I think that most of the people, are not inclined to see, only the political nation-state borders. I think that your 🗺 maps are helpful. However, I would love to see an underlying natural and maybe a ethnolinguistic, soft shading. I think, I know that I would show it to my more aesthetic art friends, associates and colleagues. I have often thought, that these types of 🗺 maps are worth the price of the totality of the package, just by themselves. The genetic information is not separable from the economic- ecologic materials. A good example of that is, the regular use of terms, like Stone-age or Neolithic. Those are economic social sciences dynamics terms. If you combined these with a softer, natural background, it would be spectacular. I recommend you go to Encyclopedia Britannica for the natural maps. It would smooth out the rigidly framed political borders. I am NOT saying that you should get rid of the political borders. Just consult with Encyclopedia Britannica for excellent natural borders. Then you can do whatever you wish to do with the political borders. Please do NOT mistake Encyclopedia Britannica with Wikipedia. I am NOT selling Encyclopedia Britannica. It is simply the gold- standard of Classical Liberal arts, Social, and physical sciences. Check out any of the articles on geological structureas and geography. Look inside the 🗺 maps. You will see that you will be enhanced at the beauty. That would be excellent enough. However, combine the incredible beauty of the 🗺 maps and the information that you already provided. Livingdna.com would be gorgeous and deeply informative. I have only one more idea. I have taken a half dozen tests from several companies. They each have their own strengths and weaknesses. For example, FamilyTreeDNA.Com is extremely deep, in the brackets of DNA categories. However, your product is excellent for the price. Your clarity of the DNA brackets, is really nice, especially for the price. Also, plenty of us, do NOT necessarily want the depth per price of the FamilyTreeDNA.Com styles. However, Livingdna.com, is an excellent framework for DNA analysis. An example of a very helpful resource for use by your customer/ clientele, would be something like your closest competitor, 23andMe.com. They have a fairly short list of deep natural and social sciences references. They are highlighted for simple access. Once I get into the sciences references, I feel like I am going to school. The 23andMe.com page has a fairly brief list of highlighted references. When I open the page, I get references from somebody else. All in all, I would recommend Livingdna.com to my own, associates and anybody else. Your product is excellent, especially for the totality of information at the price. I have tested with The National Geographic/ GenoGraphic project. That was done with FamilyTreeDNA.Com. Then I did Ancestrydna.com, 23andMe.com, HomeDNA.com ( DDC DNADiagnosticCenter), MyHeritage.com and Livingdna.com. I did the USAmerican government sponsored, AllofUs- All of Us health and ethnic DNA study. I am still waiting for those results. Meanwhile, I am just wrapping up my last dozen testing companies experience. Please consider my information..Livingdna.com,,has, an excellent product for the price. I hope you have enjoyed my comments.

The customer service is very responsive and efficient. It answers all questions the first time and is very accurate. In case of a problem with an order, he provides solutions and offers reimbursement as a possibility, if none is suitable (without even having to ask), so that we are immediately confident and the problem is quickly resolved.

I was confused about my profile on LivingDNA and a purchase I had made. I reached out and got a quick response. My support person looked into my situation and got back to me quickly again. My person explained the puzzle and how to correct it--simple with her direction. It wasn't a major problem but enough to interfere with my successful use of the site. The help I received got me happily back on track.
