If you would like a pair of Loake 1880 Export Grade shoes resoling please use our Export Grade specific repair service. Click here Please download our REPAIRS FORM before purchasing above. Once your order is confirmed, if you could complete and return the shoes as directed in the form situated above, that would get the process started. On arrival, the shoes are inspected and placed on the original lasts. Our skilled factory staff rebuild the shoes using new long soles and heels, to the current factory specification. The uppers are refinished as best possible, and new laces are included. Although there are normally no issues in repairing Loake shoes, we cannot tell for certain if a repair can be made until the shoes have been examined. **Please Note** that we will not be able to repair footwear not originally produced by Loake, nor can we repair shoes that have previously been repaired by a third party. We will NOT be able to return shoes in their original boxes (new boxes will be supplied), and we also cannot guarantee return of any shoe trees, shoe bags, or additional insoles etc. included with your shoes when sent to us. Please can you also remember that when you send your shoes back in for repair, they will be closely examined, by hand, by our repair team. If you could please remove dirt with a damp cloth before sending them in, that would be appreciated. Shoes that are excessively muddy and/or unpleasant to handle will be returned to you without being processed. We cannot be held responsible for the safe packaging and arrival of your shoes, so we recommend protecting your shoes in a box before sending in for your repair. Some types of shoes such as boat shoes cannot be repaired; if in doubt please contact Loake to confirm. We aim to complete factory repairs (within the time stated on this page) after receipt of receiving your shoes. This timeframe is exclusive of factory holidays, which can be found here. I sent in a loved pair of Cadogans, now discontinued, worn for many years, for the full re-soling service. I had very helpful interactions with the people at Loake before committing to this and decided to go ahead. Once there, the shoes were deemed, alas, to be irreparable. I received a telephone call to explain this and to let me know, to my surprise and delight, that they would replace the shoes. A pair of Aldwych shoes arrived this morning, exactly as I was anticipating. They are excellent. The process has been smooth and I am very impressed.

I’m sure the repair will be wonderful, as it always has been before. This pestering email, before I’ve received the return of my shoes, is however unwelcome and algorithms should be adjusted to chase people AFTER the shows are returned.

I'm submitting this review because Trustpilot keeps emailing asking for it. My apologies for scoring so low... Trustpilot has emailed me twice to review Loake's services. My only experience thus far has been Loake advising me it will be 50 working days before I can expect the repaired shoes to be returned. Not enough to give a fair review. I hope Loake/Trustpilot will change their system so they request the review once their service is completed. I've no doubt I'll be giving a 5* review then.

Haven't received this pair back yet but I have used Loake's repair service for over ten years and they have always provided good repairs. A testament to how good the shoes are in the first place and how skilled ther craftsmen are. Sending the shoes off couldn't be easier with the return label available at time of ordering.
