Excellent experience with the rental…
Excellent experience with the rental company! The whole process was extremely practical, modern and without bureaucracy. The pick-up and return of the car happened with total autonomy through self check-in and check-out, quickly and very efficiently. Another great differential was not requiring retention of value on the credit card, which brought much more peace of mind and convenience. Intelligent, agile service and focused on the customer experience. I highly recommend it!

Everything was perfect — the car and the staff as well!
And the Smart‑Check system is fantastic. It makes the car pick‑up incredibly fast. The whole process literally took only 3 minutes!!!

I received an almost brand new car…
I received an almost brand new car (4700km). It was much bigger than the one I looked to get. Being there outside high season, it was manageable. So I enjoyed driving it. Plus, it had all option possible (except park assistance:D)
I was puzzled why the guy from counter tried to sell me an assistance package (not expensive), but I do not understand the purpose. If the car gets broken, I should not be liable for any issue caused by the car faulty condition.
The price for rental was really good.
The almost not existent deposit was also a plus. Especially since in other situations, with other rental companies, I had to wait for 30 days to get the deposit back.

The car was great, servicedesk pushy
The car was good, almost new. Return was seamless. Upon arrival I had to wait 30 minutes as my booking was from 1pm and I arrived at 12:30. They wanted to offer me "another" car for an upcharge, which I did not take. 30 minutes later I got a car with the same feature as in the upcharged offer - for no upcharge. Also they pushed me hard for some extra insurance on top of my full.

A little bit different this time
We have used Locauto seveeal times and this was the first case that we were not 100% satisfied. Not a big issue but the car was not as clean as we are used to at Locauto, actually it was quite dirty. Tank is usually full, this time it was not full. Of course this was noted upon pick up and we were assured that we don't have to fill the tank full but it is hard to reach the exact level of fuel if it is not full.... But again, not a serious issue, just strange.
The third point could be a big problem in summer: Smaller cars don't have air conditon? We were really surprised, we always book the smallest car type and never experienced that a car would not have an AC. Specially in an island where summerrs are hot. I think it would be useful to notify clients if a car is offered without AC. That could be really annoying in summer months!
Overall we think this is a good and reliable rental company. Personal was kind and efficient. Pick up and drop off are always quick. And I love the possibility of self check in before the pick up.

Very good (after poor pre check-in online form)
After a frustrating time doing the online pre-check-in, the actual pick up was very quick. Good car, excellent condition. We did struggle to find the correct dropoff point in Cagliari airport but very simple.
