The first vehicle was faulty and had an engine problem, so it had to be returned after just a few hours. Although the second vehicle was fault-free, it had unfortunately already been heavily used and was badly scratched on the outside.

Terrific start to finish.
Very easy process. Locauto were located (along with all other car rental firms) in a building just outside the Olbia terminal. Had a short wait at the desk, then greeted by a cheerful member of staff that went through all options very clearly. Once insurance/deposit choice was made and my personal details taken (all in all about 10 minutes), we just had to step outside to collect the car. I had booked for a vehicle that would take three main luggage bags. We were taken to a brand new manual Vauxhall Mokka, which was lovely, but unfortunately it did not take all our bags (2 large and a medium size suitcase) The checking out staff very quickly tried our luggage in another car, this time an auto VW Golf. Everything fitted and they let us have the car at no extra charge (I had booked a manual). The car was an absolute godsend and done us proud. Sardinia is a large, very hilly island (and very beautiful of course), so I would definitely recommend having an auto. Checking the car back in was a breeze too - took about 5 minutes with a very friendly young man. Locauto and its staff was brilliant from start to finish. A great experience, which helped towards making an amazing holiday. Thank you.

Great Company
Great Company. We got the car super fast and an even better one than ordered. Returning the car was even faster, an employee just took a quick look. They didn’t tried to find any scratches like other, cheaper rental companies. It was really stress-free and I will book again the next time I’m there!

We had an excellent experience with Locauto at Olbia Airport. The pick-up process was quick and well organized, and the staff were friendly, professional, and happy to answer all our questions. Our car (MG ZS) was clean, modern, and in excellent condition (like new with only 3.500 km), making it perfect for exploring Sardinia.
Returning the car was just as easy and efficient. Everything was transparent, with no hidden charges or unpleasant surprises. We really appreciated the smooth service from start to finish and would definitely choose Locauto again on our next trip to Sardinia. Highly recommended!

Booked online VW Taigo instead we got a brand new Mini countryman as an upgrade.Staff was very accurate and all processes to get the car was smooth same when dropped off. No locked depozit on my credit card at all😏.Overall it was a good experience with Locauto and I strongly recommend them if you want to have a stress free holiday.

We haven’t received our deposit back…
We haven’t received our deposit back since we left the car on 20July! Now it’s 05 of august! The don’t reply to our emails and contact forms and can’t contact via phone! The car was approved and cleared when we returned it at Olbia airport around 18.30 on Monday 20.07 ( Makaulie Loonan) - we demand our money back!
