I rented from Locauto last year and I was very datisfied both by the servire and the car. This year I returned an Licauto di not disappoint me. They did the process of the paper work efficiently and fast and the handover of the car was also fast. I was out of the terminal in about 10 minutes. The reverse process was also fast and efficient. The csr was in very good condition with all the necessary items in place. It was very clean bouth on the outside and inside. Thank you Locauto

The best car rental experience in Italy!
This was my second time renting a car from Locauto, and once again, I had a great experience.
The website makes it very easy to book the car and pay for the rental and insurance. I highly recommend the Full Coverage option, as it gives you peace of mind and protects you from unexpected charges when you return the car.
I recommend using the Locauto website directly rather than searching through general booking websites.
Another big convenience is the possibility of paying by debit card, which makes the whole process even easier.

Disappointed
Upon returning the car the employee told us that she found a small dent on the passenger's door right behind the driver seat. My wife, myself and our two children all looked closely and we could see and feel a scratch but no dent. Since it was very small we asked her to feel it herself with her finger but she refused. We think that her approach was very unprofessional because she made us pay 400 Euros without doing a thorough check to establish if it was really a dent. We insist that to our naked eye , feeling with our fingers and photos, it was only a scratch. And with all due respect , considering how small it was the fee of 400 euros was disproportionately high.

Don't rent here if you don't want to pay horendous return fees
After having returned the rental car I was charged a whopping 570 Euros for a minor bump (which I didn't even see, was unaware of and it was only "seeable" after the Locauto employee washed off the door) - so basically I was scammed for a minor damage. Not to be recommended.

My car was upgraded
I think the car I booked was upgraded to automatic. The people were very helpful and when I realized I didn’t know how to use the car, they were really helpful to show me how. The only thing they couldn’t help me with is to show me how to use the air in case I have a puncture. Everything else was great.
