Lola’s began back in 2006 with a simple aim: to bake beautiful, fresh cakes every day. Starting as a small bakery, we quickly grew and went on to open flagship store in Selfridges and, today, we have over 30 locations in and around London!

Too much sugar
We ordered a unicorn cake for our child’s birthday, and while it looked beautiful, the taste was very disappointing. The cream on the outside was extremely sweet - way too much sugar. Neither the kids nor the adults could really enjoy eating it because it was overpoweringly sugary. Unfortunately, almost half of the cake ended up in the bin. For a birthday cake, appearance is important, but taste matters just as much. Sadly, this cake did not meet our expectations

Our unicorn cake does come with both buttercream filling and buttercream frosting, which is the sweetest icing we offer, and we completely understand that some customers may find it too sweet and overpowering compared to cream cheese or mascarpone-based frostings.

I bought three cakes
I bought three cakes , two online and one from the store all around the same time of the day. The ones arrived from the online shop was dry and tasted as if it was a leftover cake , yet the one from the store was decent and actually tasted good.

The customer service I received in the Ealing branch was horrible there was a very rude blonde man that served me - did not smile, did not engage in any conversation and was frankly quite rude to me and used aggressive language.

Gluten free Tiramisu Opera Cake
Ordering the cake on line and service upon collection was excellent.
I ordered the gluten free Tiramisu opera cake which was well presented. In our opinion the cake was a bit dry for a Tiramisu cake. Could have been that bit moister. I know it’s not everybody’s taste but the coffee taste should have been stronger. So I give it a 7 out of 10. Also it would have been nice to have the alcohol option.
