Lola’s began back in 2006 with a simple aim: to bake beautiful, fresh cakes every day. Starting as a small bakery, we quickly grew and went on to open flagship store in Selfridges and, today, we have over 30 locations in and around London!

Gorgeous 21st Birthday cake
The cake was for my son's 21st birthday and it was beautiful both in look and taste. It was better than I thought it would be and a reasonable price too. Everyone loved it and there wasn't a crumb left! Will definitely order from Lola again 😊

Always busy at Bluewater but once served, it’s with a lovely smile. She said the matcha cake was a new addition and it’s receiving lots of orders. It’s my second birthday cake I’ve ordered, and both beautifully presented to the point I’ve since stopped using local cake makers. Lemon and raspberry cake was just perfect - was the right balance of sweet and flavour. Beautifully perfect.

Exceptional customer service at Bluewater!
I do not normally write reviews but this experience was worth sharing. I visited the Bluewater store on 19th June at around 4:30pm to collect my husband birthday cake. When I noticed a small dent on the cake the staff member apologised straight away and fixed it immediately without any fuss. She also kindly added a mini cupcake on the house for my son which completely made his day.
Her customer service was outstanding always smiling, friendly and well mannered throughout. This is what great customer service looks like. Thank you so much!

I am sorry to hear that you were disappointed with your recent order of our Chocolate and Vanilla Naked Cake and that this did not taste fresh.
We would like to assure you that our cakes are always baked fresh at our central bakery specifically for your order using high quality ingredients to ensure the best experience for our customers.
We do advise for our cakes that they will be at their best served after allowing the cake to stand at room temperature for at least 2-3 hours before serving as otherwise the fridge cold temperatures the cakes are stored in can cause the cake flavour to taste less fresh until this warms back up.
We do apologise that this experience fell short of our usual standards and will be sure to log this directly with our bakery team to review further.

Our team takes issues of this nature very seriously and do ask, in the very rare instances wherein such issues can occur, that we are contacted within 48 hours so we can arrange a return of the remaining cake for investigation into any issues that could have occurred in our production.
I have been sure to still pass on these details to the relevant teams and have also reviewed the many other cakes prepared from the same batch as we do monitor this to ensure we can detect if any production issues were to occur.
Though we have not seen that any similar feedback has been received from any other customers from this batch, we will continue to monitor this moving forward.

Saved the day! Incredible customer service at Bluewater
I ordered a birthday cake and some gluten-free cupcakes from Lola's Cupcakes, and the taste and quality were excellent. However, the customer service was what truly mattered.
When collecting my order from the Bluewater shop on Saturday, I accidentally forgot one of the boxes containing the gluten-free cupcakes. I only realized my mistake right before closing time. When I called the shop, the wonderful ladies working there actually stayed behind and waited for me so I could collect them. Since we had gluten-free children coming to the party the next morning, their kindness prevented a total disaster. Thank you so much for the amazing service—you went above and beyond

It is recommended that our cakes need at least 2-3 hours out of the fridge before you serve the cake, this could affect the taste and texture similar to you've described if you do not first ensure the cake is out for this time.
