Lola’s began back in 2006 with a simple aim: to bake beautiful, fresh cakes every day. Starting as a small bakery, we quickly grew and went on to open flagship store in Selfridges and, today, we have over 30 locations in and around London!

Disappointing
Ordering the cake was fine and collection was straight forward. I have ordered the Victoria Sponge cake before and it was good. Unfortunately, this cake wasn’t good. The sponge was very dry and heavy and tasted stale. Not at all like any Victoria sponge I have tasted.

Thank you for your review.
I'm very sorry that you found the Victoria Cake sponge to be dry. All of our products are freshly baked for dispatch and should be stored at room temperature for 2-3 hours before consuming, otherwise it could be quite dry.

A really great cake and fab service.

I'm very sorry to hear that you were not happy with the packaging of your order and the product in comparison to the website.
As all of our cakes are hand made, sometimes they can vary slightly from person to person when they are decorated.
Do you happen to have any photographs of the cake?

I brought the monkey cake with vanilla…
I brought the monkey cake with vanilla sponge for my sons 1st birthday, the cake was beautifully made and I can’t fault the taste, it was delicious! Highly recommend and will certainly be buying many more cakes in the future!
