The person who took the order in the Lola’s concession was patient, kind and very helpful talking time to explain the process The person who sorted the cakes for me when I collected was very helpful. The birthday cake looked marvellous and travelled well and the mini cup cakes were pretty. Both the birthday cake and mini cakes were fresh and tasted good.

Cake was as ordered, on time but most of all delicious! Staff were helpful and friendly.

I’ve been coming to Lola’s since they first opened in birmingham. I’ve always been addicted to their cakes as they were light n fluffy, with the best buttercream flavours.

However over the years I have seen recipes change, flavours be reduced, portion sizes get smaller whilst prices get bigger. I didn’t mind price changes.

But sadly in the past 2 years they have changed their recipes, the cupcakes frosting tastes cheap. There is a sour note in there which makes you gag.

I thought it was a bad batch but past few times it’s been the same. The server confirmed the recipe had changed.

The recent unicorn cupcakes went in the bin within the first bite.

I am disappointed but like most businesses, it’s about profits now

I ordered from Lola’s cupcakes for my son’s 5th birthday, the website was easy to navigate and I ordered a superhero cake and there was a wide variety to choose from.

The collection was straightforward and the cake itself exceeded all expectations. It was presented really well, tasted amazing and perfect for my son’s birthday.

Fresh and delicious cakes as always. The customer service was also on point. I haven't been to the Birmingham Selfridges store for some time, so was gutted to find the seating area gone. However, the staff offered us the seats at the consultation counter as they were not busy.

I collected this lovely cake from Selfridges in Birmingham. it was ready to collect on time and well packed in a strong cardboard box.The Tuttifriuti cake was beautiful to look at, as seen on the website, and enjoyable to eat with fresh fruit, a light sponge and blueberry cream cheese frosting that wasn’t overly sweet. I will be ordering this again soon. Thank you!

Love Lola’s the kunafa cake was so moist and fab! I’ve had the caramel cookie cake and rocky road in the past they were also amazingly delicious!!! Will order again and again. Had to collect it. I think the delivery could be free as the cake was over £30 and TikTok shop delivery is free but otherwise wouldn’t fault it.

Had a beautiful cake made for our wedding. Easy order and collection. The cake was beautiful and lasted for around a week- so fresh and light.

Great cakes, never disappoint, we get them for all the family birthdays. My only quibble is that the delivery charges are high. The delivery service is good when we've used it (you can also pick up at their outlet), but they've put delivery prices up so it really makes the whole thing quite expensive.

Delivery was on time, ordering was easy. The cake looked great, unfortunately it tasted mediocre at BEST. Knowing you’re paying nearly 100 pounds for a birthday cake and it still tastes basic at best is not good value for money. The icing was unbearably sweet. This wasy third Lola cake buy, for a large party. I’ve been consistently disappointed. Too sweet, not as moist as it used to be. Quality has gone down.

The best birthday cakes I’ve ever had! I needed to buy a special birthday cake quite last minute, and found Lola’s could turn that around within 2 days. I wasn’t expecting much due to the speed. When I collected in Birmingham Selfridges, the staff member showed me the cake before packaging it up into a beautiful sturdy box and bag. It was THE softest chocolate cake I’ve ever had, everyone loved it! The ganache was insane, loved that it wasn’t too sweet so we could enjoy it without it being sickly. It looked and tasted handmade and not commercially produced at all. I ordered my own red velvet birthday cake a week later which was on point again. Lola’s will 100% be my go-to.

Love the taste. The cake was a bit dry. But the outside was lovely
